You can't talk about the true greats of folk-inspired melodic death metal without reverent mention of Ensiferum, and with Two Paths they once more affirm their place in the pantheons of the genre. Further building upon the thrilling metallic hybrid honed across six full-lengths, Two Paths is simultaneously the Finnish quintet's most epic and far-reaching collection and their most organic, which definitely sets it apart from the pack. "When we made 'One Man Army' (2015), we wanted it to sound more like a live album than a traditional studio album. With 'Two Paths', we took that to the next level with analog recording, cutting down tracks and even recording songs without a click, and because of that there is a totally different kind of groove compared to most modern metal albums," states bassist/vocalist Sami Hinkka. While their ideas are huge and they consistently prove they have the talent to back them up, the band maintains the grounded MO that has served them so well over the years, with the results speaking for themselves. "It all comes down to writing music that sounds good to us and is fun to play live, and I would say with 'Two Paths' we've done everything better than we ever have before."

I swear the more i listen to it, the more i think it's some sort of Manowar tribute, like Sabaton's song with the same purpose. Just that Manowar have used that same vocabulary so much that in my head they sort of own it XD Yeah i know Ensiferum are also about the same things, but this song kinda gets me even further.

She left because of personal reasons

She do nowadays her own solo stuff and also play with many other bands and artist. Example last year (2018) she played with Nightwish few times as guest.

Do you know that Netta Skog was session musician in One man army -album before she joined to the band. She sings and plays accordion very well in Neito Pohjolan. She also sings part on Cry for the Earth bounds.

Interestingly, the band grow older but that front row didn't.
There is plagiarism for me a very similar song if you listen to it and it is by the Mago de Oz band in his song the approach, in relation to the Ensiferum theme

For years I had this idea, while listening to you. Instead of power metal drums you may try to experiment with absolutely different types of percussion.
IMHO It sounds much better than drum set, + people get use to it.
Btw do you notice, In trap music hihat not fixed in tone.
You have to experiment to made something outstanding and new.
Each drum is a tone, so it can be another Melody line.
I think this drum sound doesn't really fit with beautiful melodies and composition. (Not to upset drummer).
Btw source of drum idear is darbuka, original African jembe, deep fank, experimental jazz.
Rammstein payed with tom sound, Slipknot uses huge percussion sound. It can be something new.
