Teesixhundred dedication....or laziness...😄😄 definitely can be built quicker, just taken me a while on and off. Paint up is coming, just doing it this week, soooo happy so far 😁
Your armour is looking great! I've come to really like the look of the Clones (really looking forward to the return of The Clone Wars!) and your Clone armour is fab, can't wait to see the final reveal.
That looks great, I love the look of Clone Trooper armour, probably because it was always CGI. Seeing it made by fans like you, who strive to make it screen accurate, is always fascinating. Great work.
It's looking good! Can't wait to see the final project. Kudos to you for such dedication... I usually start a project, get stuck, and then don't finish it for a while.
My colours would be a Double Blue line down either the right or left hand side (haven't decided) kinda like "||". It run from helmet, down chest and possibly on the leg. One blue line may have a very thin line of gold along it too.
I always start with the helmet, that way you have a cool display piece if you never get the rest. Had my helmet done for a year or 2 before finishing my armour!
i’m super interred in getting some of this armor and it’s been a dream of mine to join the 501st. i’m 17 years old, do you think they’d let me buy armor and join them? i’m not sure how to find them
Hi! You can certainly buy the armour and get started putting it together. I'd recommend Imperial Surplus for an ABS plastic kit like mine (can contact on FB) In terms of the 501st, I'm not sure what age you can join fully (probably 18), but look on their website for your local garrison and jump on the forum for that region. There is also 501stclonetroopers.com where you can find lots of help in building your kit. There are also plenty of other cool groups out there you can join, I'm in the Imperial Outlanders for example. Good to find others who live nearby to troop and have fun with.
How do you honestly size a kit? Mines is to big for me. But I guess I’ll just have to cut it smaller than what it’s sized for. I’m not a thick person, so there’s a ton of space in between my body and the armor
Are you for hire for armor finishing and painting? I have a new set of armor and I’m trying to find someone who can do the finishing and paint/weathering. Thanks !
Hi! It's very difficult to size the armour to someone else without being with them, as well as the cost of shipping, you're in the US I think? It's best to see if you can find someone local if you don't fancy doing it yourself. There's a lot of help online for anyone giving it a try
Hi! Depends on what you'd like to cosplay. I'd recommend jumping into groups on Facebook, especially the Replica Prop Forum, but look for any groups who might cosplay from the franchise you like. There's lots of options, you can make it yourself, commission it, modify existing pieces. I have a video on the channel here too of how I start a cosplay 🙂
Do you know any one who does the strapping/ process of making armor wearable? I am having a 212th attack battalion set made soon and am looking for someone to rig it up with padding straps velcro etc
hey ya think you could make a lot of it for me and my crew we will pay you anywhere between $100 - $250 for each complete set! Plus an additional $500 for every 10 sets. But they need to be made out of a tough material not flimsy. Meaning it's gotta be able to take a hit and survive.
I don't understand why is the abdomen piece so big in the movies they weren't that big I know its a kit and I know the clones in the movie were CGI but that piece just seems so much bigger compared to the other armor pieces which look to be a good size. for me the abdomen piece is always that piece that looks weird in clone cosplay cause it brings out the belly too much.
actually the chest piece should be bigger than the abdomen piece i believe the armor looks good but its just those 2 pieces that don't look right to me
@@BucketheadStudios ye i just feel the chest piece should be and could be bigger than the abdomen piece I've seen it been done before by few people i guess it just depends seeing as though it is a kit is it like a 1 size fits all kinda thing
Trim, grind, shim, fit, glue, bondo, sand, sand again, prime, topcoat, weathering, sealer, pad, strap....sounds like a lot of building to me. Also a term used a lot by everyone in the community
@@BucketheadStudios but you got the armor it self already. Paintjob, weathering and all that stuff is like the " chilling" part of the building process.
Your the only person I've seen who's clone armour actual fits to them and isn't stupid big and clunky
Kim Jong Un Thank you! Worked hard on getting it to fit, and I think I'm the right height and build as well which helps 😁
@Rexin_Around
I was going to say the same. Your armor looks like it was made for you wich is really cool. And it's very detailed. Awesome 👌
Three years, now that is what I call dedication ! It really is a lovely set of armour though, can't wait to see the final painted version.

That so cool wish I could afford it 😩
Thats so amazing. Really nice work you did there
Looking good mate. You should get a mannequin to display it when it's all done. Look forward to the next vid. Keep up the good work

Haha, exactly what's happened here, but gave myself a deadline and a con to wear it to....and planned videos around it 😄
:) That's smart... I should really set deadlines.
You earned a sub! Your videos are amazing, for a vivid Star Wars fan I love them!! Keep up the amazing work :)
Amazing !

This channel is the best!
Thank you!
Buckethead Props of course!
Nicely done! Always wanted to do at least a helmet. I know exactly my paint scheme. Looking forward to seeing the weathering!
DeltaWolf1000 busy painting now 😁 what would be your colours?
My colours would be a Double Blue line down either the right or left hand side (haven't decided) kinda like "||". It run from helmet, down chest and possibly on the leg. One blue line may have a very thin line of gold along it too.
I wonder how much more mobility one would get if the ab and kidney plates were made from white foam rubber instead of ABS.
I want armor so bad but I'm broke
I always start with the helmet, that way you have a cool display piece if you never get the rest. Had my helmet done for a year or 2 before finishing my armour!

Buckethead Props Awesome man thanks for the quick reply, i just found out if i join i’d be in the mountain garrison team so i’ll do some more research
Great 😯🙌
Just looks awesome! Already seen your pics on ig.
CT-5597 • Jesse it's coming along, still some painting to go yet 😉😁
Buckethead Props Yeah, but it just looks great! Looking forward to seeing the final video!
P.S I'm theshape.78 on Instagram ^^

Yeah sizing down a kit that's already together would be more tricky, but not impossible. Yeah cutting at the seams and re-gluing and finishing 😬
Okay, Lol it’s actually a parts kit that you where talking about. So I guess I can keep cutting until it fits how I need it to be
I want to make my own but how do you get the kit
Contact Imperial Surplus 🙂
Buckethead Props on what?
Never mind I have it thank you

Where’d you get the armour or order the parts from?
Imperial Surplus, can contact on Facebook or I believe they have a website too 🙂
So do I need foam padding in the chest and arms?
I didn't for the chest, fit is snug. The arms you may need some to stop them moving around
@@BucketheadStudios alright thanks man
where is the build?
So where did you buy it from??? Someone reply plez
Imperial Surplus :)
Where is bought in the armor ?
Imperial Surplus
Where do I start with cosplaying

Donde consiguió las plantillas para hacerlo
Hi, this was a vac formed kit bought from a maker called Imperial Surplus
Do you know any one who does the strapping/ process of making armor wearable? I am having a 212th attack battalion set made soon and am looking for someone to rig it up with padding straps velcro etc
I can do a video for sure showing how! Can be tricky if you don't do it yourself as there is a lot of adjustment....a lot! 😄
@@BucketheadStudios please do! It would help alot!
Illegal, so if i make clone trooper armor at my house I'm going to get arrested?
??
Nevermind something stupid I thought I heard at the beginning of the video
Wish I could get one set but it's too expensive
Kattamangga SW it's about the same as a good stormtrooper set, worth saving for if you want it 😉😁
Why are kits so oversized
This fits me quite well.....What are you saying 😄😄
get it from imperial surplus ;)
Yes indeed!
@@BucketheadStudios eyy thanks for the reply wasn't counting on one considering this video was back in 2018

One of these would be anywhere between £1200 and £1500 most likely, in materials and labour 🤷🏻♂️

Hey shiny. If u get my term
Aren’t you a little short for a storm trooper?
5'11......so no 😄😄
You just have to trimm it! done!
Building is when you have a very big square peace of white plastic and make a clone armor out of it!
