The upper tow point is indeed standard on the later model 275SD. I own a 2022 275SD and the entire canopy frame has been redesigned to be stronger than the previous years, allowing the addition of the tow point.
Great presentation, thanks! The main attraction of the 27' for me is that it's yacht certified, you touched on this briefly. With kids it's easy to hit the 12 limit with lots of leftover space and weight capacity.
Good point. I guess we really don't pay much attention to the placard on the 25 because I've always been told if you have enough life jackets on the boat for each passenger then you're legal by coast guard regs. The yacht cert. Did not really seem like a huge benefit.
@@JetBoatPilot I've heard similar but can't find anything official. It's not clear to me if I have to meet weight and headcount so I've assumed both to be safe. Next time I'm out I'll ask them, might be worrying about headcount for nothing
I’d love to see a 222s vs AR250/252s comparison. I’d particularly like to see the two boats with 6 adults on them. 70% of the time I’ll only have 2 adults/ 2 kids on the boat, but can see 6 adults more often than occasionally. I’m sold on avoiding the complexity of the drive system. The 222s is a really nice looking boat. But I wonder if the lack of trim options on the Ar252, are made up for with the extra space? Is it worth it to put up another $16k for the 252s?
@Daniel Muvdi truly the drive feature is not as helpful as Lateral. It's nice but I feel I have more control with Throttles split and Lateral Thruster installed.
@@JetBoatPilot it’s coming along well. I had to take a break. Doing everything myself just wasn’t creating the content I want to put out. I’ve got a few ideas I’m ready for but I need to at least find someone to film me.
@@JetBoatPilot I love that! I’ve got the skills to be a great videographer and equipment but then I need a host lol. All I need is a mediocre helping hand that I can direct and teach and then my videos will be much better. Let me know when you want me to film a post install review on those graphics, they’re getting a lot of attention and have been working fantastic other than the minor gapping which is only noticeable up close and head on.
@THEFSHDUDE awesome, have you had any rubs or Impact that could be discussed and maybe help some who are undecided? Many think they won't hold up well if you hit something.
Thanks for the videos. Y’all been helping me. Two questions. I have 252sd being stored on boat slip with lift. See water accumulates there, best way to ensure rain water is properly being drained? I also have the Yamaha boat cover but because I store it on a boat lift there’s no way I can install it. As I only have access from one side. Any covers you suggest?
Add the snap on cover and you can install on the lift. I'd make sure that all the drain plugs inside the boat are pulled and that the lower drain plug is pulled so any water that does get on the boat drains out. Make sure that as part of your launch checklist you install the drain plug on the transom.
Will, we’ll done on the video. I am about to pick up a 252 SD and curious what you did with the wake tower speaker. I really like how they are on top of the tower. Any insight into speaker size and any issues with moving the Bimini around?
Hi Will, nice video! I have a couple of questions about the 27' boats. Why isn't there a bow ladder or tower speakers? Do you know if they can be added? Thank you!
Quick question and this seems the place for best answer. Looking for a boat to do bibini crossing and explore keys. Is there a marked difference in the 252s vs 252fsh safety wise as far as being able to handle waves and wake better? Thank you in advance
Both have the same ride surface. They're different above the rub rail. I'd say the 252S will provide more protection from wave spray but will feel a bit rougher on the driver since you sit farther forward. The center console situates the driver more toward the rear so it feels like a better ride there. Also if you cross over to Bimini I'd highly suggest a Seakeeper Ride system for either boat. We sell them now and have a video out showing it in action on a 255 FSH.
No views and 1 like? How's that work?? Not to be a debbie downer or karen, but you measured LOA incorrectly. Its from the tip of the bow (top where bow ends) and the farthest point aft at stern, including platform if there is one.
Since I been on the market for a Yamaha, this has been the best channel ever.
Thank you! We love ours!
Love this channel. I’m not a boat owner but I want to be.

@@TTURocketDoc the 27 is more roomy and feels less crowded even when you have a crowd.
Great content. Truly appreciate the information between the two beautiful boats.

Hi, you said that 275 has the Yamaha drive but the 252 doesn't? I'm pretty sure you can have all the drive system on the 252sd or I'm wrong?
I did say the 25 has the option for drive in the SD and XD models
@@JetBoatPilot thanks, just making sure that I will have the docking options on the 252sd right.
Thanks

I’m trying to like the 275 but it’s just a weird design to me with the mish mash and lack of cohesiveness with front wind shield and side windows.
I agree
Great video! Preciate it yall, God bless!
Loving the production and scripted direction of your new videos. Good job brother 🤙🏼

@THEFSHDUDE I had to hire a full time videographer to get to this level. Not cheap, but 100% essential to grow the channel to 100K subs and beyond.

We don't own that boat. I think it came that way from the factory.
Would be cool if they made a 275 FSH, why not they already have the 27’ hull
It has not been announced but does make sense that they would at some point.
Hi Will, nice video! I have a couple of questions about the 27' boats. Why isn't there a bow ladder or tower speakers? Do you know if they can be added? Thank you!
Not sure, I wish there was a bow ladder. Tower speakers can be added for sure.
Is it possible to fold the seatbacks flat? That would be really nice. More flat space.
If you want to see folded seat backs you'd need to look at the Scarab 215 or 255 or 285.

Is the freeboard higher on the 275 than on the 250?
@@haiknaltchayan1978 seems similar to me.
Are you sure it needs a permit to trailer down the road? I hadn't heard that.
For the 275 it does. Anything over 8'6" wide requires an oversize permit. Check with your DMV to verify. Some states may not require it but most do.
Is there any tow point on the 275?
Yes as an add on accessory jetboatpilot.com/products/yamaha-275sd-tow-point
Nice to see how the rich folks do it.
Is it me or does that upholstery on the 252 look thicker and more padding ?
Actually the upholstery on the 275 is made from heavier vinyl and thicker padding. It feels nicer.
Yes. It dose. New upgrade buy new mobel
my 2023 252sd only does 44mph far from 55mph lol
275 is ugly tho and the wash back into the boat is terrible. The 250 series is gorgeous and more practical
