Awesome, your enthusiasm is infectious, never lose your love for the outdoors, I’m 60 and I am always out in the hills, keep up the lovely videos. Thank you for sharing. All the best. Tony
You have such a charming personality! I have Scottish roots and I’ve always felt that my soul belongs there. I hope to see it some day . Every time I see or hear something about Scotland my heart flutters a bit and my ancestral bones long to be there. Such a beautiful country with beautiful people!
Cracking video. Love it up there. I have done those walks as well in all conditions. Nice bothy but can get pretty busy over the weekends. Its good to see people enjoying our country with smiles on their faces. Keep on smiling and hiking all the best and keep up the good work
I just LOVE your videos! They always leave me smiling and in a good mood. You choose such peaceful, beautiful music and you are always having fun. No whining even when it is eight below. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work!
Only discovered your channel today. Your videos really are addictive :) Amazing scenery, beautiful music and cinematography and lovely people! So many smiles :) I really like your style of presenting and it is so clear how much you love what you are doing!
Hi Athena, recently found and joined your channel. Really enjoyed watching your visit to Scotland. No better feeling than being out in the wild even in the worst of conditions.hope to see many more of your adventures. ATB Darren
Scotland is a beautiful place to explore but the weather there can change very quickly even for very experienced walkers and climbers , you both Did a brilliant video.
Just spent 4 days wild camping over a long weekend last week up in Scotland. The snow was fantastic, even got to -14 at one point. Started near Loch Ness, then up near the Bone Caves near Inchnadamph then over the west coast along the coast road (which we had a crash on in the ice). Glad to see we were not the only ones enjoying the snow!
@@RambleFamily I'm sure there will be plenty of snow again! If you end up on the west coast and fancy a treat, I would recommend a stop off for one of the amazing pies at Lochinver Larder.
You make me realise I need to do what I dream of. Exactly what you have done. I have been to Snowdon and Scotland on many escapes but never too far from the car as with friends that perhaps were not so keen to spend a few nights out. I guess I always held myself back for some reason. I love the harsh weather and the snow! Thank you for my new motivation xx Chris Wilberforce
So lovely! You chose the right week to visit. I've just come back from the Cairngorms today. Had one absolutely beautiful day, then the storm rolled in.
'And i don't feel like i know enough to lead'. If only others were as sensible as you in the mountains less peolple would end up in trouble. Great video. I'm enjoying these. Well done. Atb
Another amazing video and it's funny as you again did part of the same hike my BF and I did last August (not in the snow obviously) but also a wonderful walk up Ben MacDui and then on to Cairn Gorm and back down. I do have a video of it posted if you are interested :) But what amazing weather you two had and a fantastic week in Scotland. Just beautiful - I enjoy your videos so much, keep up the great work and that smile!!!

Hi windproof mittens are best thing for those temperatures I use them every day for riding to work in the cold winter weather with thin liners. Great videos keep them coming 😁
Great stuff girls I enjoyed that a great adventure in the snow beautiful scenery. I will be in the highlands on my motorcycle in a couple of month's. BLOODY hard to beat Scotland. Love respect and appreciation from Ireland.
Love the Cairngorms and Aviemore! My family and I holiday there every year in a timeshare log cabin we have. I also got engaged at Loch Morlich in 2018 ❤️
Great video, looks really nice, we have been to the Cairngorms twice but we went to Tarland on the opposite side, we went in November and it was freezing, we hired bikes to mooch around and check out the Tarland trails ( mint) and it was minus 9, we looked like a family of dumb and dumber with frozen snot all round, day we left was minus 11, we went back to same place same time 2 yr after we loved t that much. Keep the vids coming.
Yeah! I went there last year and wet hill walking and hired a fat bike, got blown off my feet at the bothy. Off to the southern Gorms next week. I hope the snow sticks around. Cheers.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Really pleased I found your channel. We're up in Scotland next week. I might take inspiration and try something (a little) more adventurous.
@@RambleFamily not to worry, I'm starting from a pretty low base of adventurousness. You have sparked my interest in a winter mountain skills course though.
I'm soooo jealous, as I have yet to do Ben Macdui. I ve gone as far as the plateau just about, where you can peer down over the Lairig Ghru near to Miadan Creag an Leth Choin, but I was on my own. Can be very dangerous up there. You got a fabulous day and this video has spurred me on to do the whole route - when safe to do so, of course. Well done!
I've spent a bit of time in the Cairngorms and was there for a week in February. It was unusually warm so the camping was comfortable but there wss no chance of any ice climbing or ski touring.
KEEP ON TRUCKIN' LADIES! It's beautiful that you are role models for young women who may have never thought of getting out for a winter ride or day hike. May I recommend winter backpacking? No bugs and no people, just great scenery and solitude, plus a snowstorm - or two.
Fab Vid Smile on my face the whole way through it, Know what Ladies, your parents must, nah sorry Should be so very proud of you two.You epitomise all that is good about people young or old(er), Dont know you but I too am really proud of you both. Well done. Be safe girls and keep enjoying life.
Thanks Ed, that's so kind. I think our parents did a good job of raising us to be independent and to follow out dreams - all four of us are following an unconventional path in life! Thanks again for your comment, made me smile :)
@@RambleFamily Yes we did have a bit where I am. Teachers and children loved it and it looked good on the gentle rolling hills around here, some rising up to the giddy heights of 150m. A trip back to the Lakes or north Wales is in order soon. Thanks for the content.
Oh my Athena!! This was so great. It makes me want to run to the mountains :D I love how you represent a more "feminin" side of being outdoors. "Oh, we just climbed the 2. highest peak in the UK. No big deal" :D You are so kick ass!
A++++. Great views, great film. You will treasure it in years to come the time you spent cycling and walking together in winter in the Cairngorms. Who was doing the music? Thank you! The acoustic music was Lightyear by Gregory Alan Isakov and the other was called Sunrise by mt. fujitive. The course I did was a Jonathan Conville Winter Skills course, I learned so much! Really hoping to do some winter climbing this year :)
@@RambleFamily Many thanks for your reply. Interesting. The mountains are brilliant. Have to be careful in winter or indeed any other time, not get carried away or beyond your expertise and end up in difficulty, not that you would of course! Keep up the good work. Many thanks for posting.
Wow just beautiful!! ( scenery ain’t half bad either 😋) check out Kahtoola micro spikes for s bit of extra grip in the ice and snow, not full on crampons, kind of a halfway option.
A useful addition to your excellent little films would be a wind jammer for your camera's microphone. I know that pesky wind rattle is tricky to be kept out. Which camera are you using for filming? Really impressed with its depth of blacks. Keep up the excellent work 👍
