Tabby this was a phenomenal video. Thank you so much and I had to laugh at the end because somehow I felt like you were going to give tower 28 your number one spot and I’m just going to have to try that mascara again. I used it twice and then gave it to a friend of mine, because I felt like it was just m’eh. But then that was when I was really in my obsessed over tubing, mascara phase. The pictures the wear test your analysis of the wand was so helpful and really made me think about mascara in a different way to be honest- and that’s saying a lot since I’ve been around mascara for about 50 years now.
Thank you for all this work. Watched to the end. I want to see the tubing showdown. But my FAVORITE was the drugstore showdown because of so many great options. Would love to see how your top drugstore compares to these top picks.

I use 2 mascaras currently. The Fenty to put immediate length and volume and then I finish with the Tower 28. It seperates my lashes so nicely. Definitely a really good wand on Tower 28 so im not surprised it was your #1 pick. Ive personally never found a mascara to do everything I want it to. 😅

Omg Abbey the commitment 👏👏👏 I used to use the Lancome Drama mascara like 10 or so years ago and it didn't work well for me until i read the instructions ❗which said "rotate the brush while applying". Game changer! And I can see the thought behind it - by doing so you ensure that each single lash gets coated all around. I would assume that this rotating technique would be applicable to all mascaras that have uneven bristles or even flat parts. Eventually I gave up on the Drama mascara because it would wear smudgy and even fall into my eyes but I'm grateful for providing me with yet another application method. Maybe you could do a video about comparing results with same mascaras (or any other make up oroduct) but using different types of application... Once you recovered from this marathon of course 😉 Great job 👍
Oooh, can't wait for the tubing mascara show down! I find that a lot of them dry out SO fast! Much faster than regular mascaras. The only one that I've tried that actually lasted more than a couple of weeks is the one from Tarte.
YSL lash clash is my favorite the Tower 28 is good at volume and separation not clumping but it looks like I put nothing on YSL is like holy lashes!!! Up to my eyebrows 🤣🤣🤣
I’m 40 and been buying mascara for around 26 years,drugstore,mostly high end and YSL lash clash is just the best.2nd coat gives drama and zero smudging or flaking xxx
Great video. I rarely return things to Sephora but I did return the Hudson mascara. One you might consider for another showdown is the Bobby Brown Smokey eye mascara

It's so interesting to me how different mascara preferences can be. I have pretty long lashes so anything that lengthens makes them look spidery. So for me, the best mascara are ones that pretty much just add volume and are slightly wetter but not super wet or thick. Of course, not flaking or smudging is a must! I recently started trying some new ones and the Better Than Sex mascara actually works really well for me. I also like the regular Milk mascara but I found the different bristle lengths on the wand really annoying. The different lengths on the different sides made it so I had to think more about how I applied it. The green Essence mascara looks so pretty but it flakes throughout the day 😥 If it didn't, it may have been my perfect mascara.

I can see why: expensive and cumbersome to make. Thank you for experimenting so we don't have to. I look forward to the tubing mascara edition. It's so disappointing that major brands use a million meaningless words to advertise their mascaras, without even telling us what formula and brush to really expect. Anytime you feel like doing a side by side of any product category to show the differences in finish, opacity, and/or official color/texture descriptions, it will be valuable for your viewers.

I love the GXVE beauty mascara because I have some serious hooded eyes and the doh-dah at the end really reaches the inside lashes. Your lashes look amazing in all of mascaras. Do you use a lash serum or are you blessed with awesome lashes?
Lancome Lash Idole has been my go-to the past year, so I was happy to see that it placed pretty well! Gonna have to try out the Tower 28 one, it seems like it has a similar brush and it's cheaper!

WOW!! I'm a newbie here, and I've got to say that this is probably one of the top ten most valuable makeup videos I have watched! Thank you so much for your hard work (and thank Elsie for her forebearance, lol). I have used many of the mascaras you tried, and ordered sample sizes of many I haven't -- I was surprised how many brands offered trial sizes. Over the forty-some-odd years I have been wearing mascara, however, I have noticed that as soon as I find a firm favorite, it immediately stops production (same thing with bras and perfume, right?). So, although I agree with you on most of your reviews, One Coat Wow is currently my ride or die mascara. You can rest easy knowing that it will probably be around for only a short while now that I've said that. I look forward to your next videos~

The tower 28 is my holy grail too! I’m so glad they released a brown shade because that’s my preference for my fair skin. It dries out way faster than most mascaras but I’m willing to buy it anyway because it’s so good
Thanks for the video. I feel the same way about all of the mascaras you reviewed, 2/3 of which I've tried. But, I LOVE Lancôme Hypnôse Drama. I've used it for years and year. I try other things, but come back in the end. It wears well on me and doesn't flake or smudge. Volume and curl are consistently phenomenal. I'm underwhelmed by Tower 28. I bought it 3 weeks ago, and I just don't understand the hype. I'll keep working with it, but I haven't seen the value yet.
Love the Savage reviews! I get the Sephora mini mascara set every year for my daughter and I for Christmas. Will give Fan Fest another try! I will say Caley Rae Come Hell or High Water is my fave!
The Ilia was one of the free Sephora birthday choices in February 2023. I love it so much I just finished my 3rd tube. It’s not a tubing mascara but I only need warm water and a reusable cotton round, which I love.

Better separation for Lancôme is definicils ALL DAY. 👏 Even better with primer. If I could use the NARS wand in a Lancôme formula.. can you compare your top to drugstore? I’ve been wanting a Lancôme formula dupe for ages!
I've tried a few mascaras both high end, drug store and in between .... And I keep going back to Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara. It has a very beautiful, natural look, not heavy or clumpy
The lord has blessed you with those lashes, girl!! I liked the SAIE for only one reason- every mascara smudges and transfers like crazy on me (my undereye is super dry so I need an eye balm to counteract that and my lids are super oily, go figure) and this one didn’t. Fiber mascaras tend not to transfer as much because fibers themselves are dry, so it helps to keep the wet ingredients under wraps, so to speak (I worked for benefit and did not formulate mascara but I did work on other products. I learned a lot from the mascara formulators, though. They take that shizz very seriously lol). However, the length and volume are very underwhelming. Also, I liked your disclaimer saying beauty is fun and don’t take offense if you liked something that got a bad review. I feel like people are so venomous sometimes because of another persons experience. I think they tend to forget they aren’t the only person in the world and people have very different experiences with the same product. It’s not that serious, people!
Thanks for all your work! I would love to see you try some asian mascaras (e.g. Clio Superproof, Heroine make). They're very waterproof and smaller wands that really helps you get in there and coat every lash.
This video is so entertaining lol. In my experience of pretty short lashes with NO curl- have to use an eyelash curler every time…. Benefit they’re real was a game changer bc the stiff brush with silicone bristles did help curl my lashes and the formula wasn’t too wet that my lashes would lose curl. I also liked benefit bad gal- would like to try it with the They’re Real Brush. Interested your thoughts on waterproof mascaras with my wedding coming up! Loveeee your videos
You tried so many maskaras except for "Giordani gold iconic all-in-one" which is the best maskara I have ever seen in my life. With this maskara my eyelashes look natural. Separation and length is perfect. It holds up two days. Doesn't smudges or sticks eyelashes. I can't afford it because it way too expensive. I hope to get this maskara again. By the way I would really appreciate it if you make another video with eye pencils and eyeliners.I don't now which one is really waterproof and long lasting. Which one is the best. This is awesome! We love playing the long game 👏🏼 I think it would be helpful in the comparison shots if you labeled some more! So like with the frame showing the rows of mascaras, it took me a while to figure out a few things: where the mascara was that you were talking about (I would suggest putting a colored box around the one you’re currently talking about) and what the side by side is showing (I’m guessing two coat application on the left and end of day on the right?). Just a suggestion! As always, awesome work!
I loved a couple of these mascaras; the benefit fanfest is great! I was surprised I didn’t see the Lancôme defincils, that is by far my favorite mascara and definitely worth a try if you haven’t already! I’ll have to try the tower 28 next though!
Busy watching this video whilst getting ready. My absolute go to mascara has for years been the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme. I tried the Too Faced Better than Sex and hated it, but thank you for the recommendation to layer it. I’ve just applied as a second coat and it looks great so I don’t need to throw it away 😊

So I bought the Tower 28 after seeing this video and it’s not the best for me. My lashes are naturally long, so I need volume. I found the mascara very thin. So it would be great for a more natural look. So far the best one I’ve found for me is the Tarte Tartelette Tubing Mascara

Awesome video! Thank you for all the work you put into putting all these comparatives together. I am surprised you included Hourglass Unlocked as it's a tubing mascara. Hourglass Unlocked was my favourite for many years until I replaced with Thrive Cosmetics Liquid Lash Extensions.
I feel like we have a similar mascara taste so I really hope to see the Lancome Lash Idole somewhere in the top, if you testes it! It's the only expensive mascara I like, but i use the waterproof version
I always wear waterproof mascara as it never flakes or transfers ,also great for my outdoor lifestyle ,horses and big dogs ,and never know when downpour is going happen.
I live in Germany, so I don't really have access to Tower 28 products. When my boyfriend had a flight to San Francisco, I asked him to bring me this ONE mascara from Sephora and he did? What can I say? I love it!

That’s how the essence mascaras are too! They are good for a very short time because the dry up so fast.

I am on my first tube of Tower 28 and while I love it, I thought I was crazy thinking it was drying out after just 2 months of use...
I've noticed how fast it dried out too so I stopped using it.

I know this is off-topic, but I really need you to do a travel version of your hair routine, including styling. I'm going away for a month twice this year and I have to travel very light without my hair tools.
You could always buy a good travel container set.. thats what I did. Use your favorite products.

Your hair is gorgeous! I had already ordered the Rare Beauty and Anastasia mascara before I saw your video. Now I'm excited to try them. Also, the Huda mascara was one that I liked. I don't remember having any flakes or smudges with it on me, and I used the whole tube.😊

Better separation for Lancôme is definicils ALL DAY. 👏 Even better with primer. If I could use the NARS wand in a Lancôme formula.. can you compare your top to drugstore? I’ve been wanting a Lancôme formula dupe for ages!

I've tried a few mascaras both high end, drug store and in between .... And I keep going back to Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara. It has a very beautiful, natural look, not heavy or clumpy

The lord has blessed you with those lashes, girl!! I liked the SAIE for only one reason- every mascara smudges and transfers like crazy on me (my undereye is super dry so I need an eye balm to counteract that and my lids are super oily, go figure) and this one didn’t. Fiber mascaras tend not to transfer as much because fibers themselves are dry, so it helps to keep the wet ingredients under wraps, so to speak (I worked for benefit and did not formulate mascara but I did work on other products. I learned a lot from the mascara formulators, though. They take that shizz very seriously lol). However, the length and volume are very underwhelming.
Also, I liked your disclaimer saying beauty is fun and don’t take offense if you liked something that got a bad review. I feel like people are so venomous sometimes because of another persons experience. I think they tend to forget they aren’t the only person in the world and people have very different experiences with the same product. It’s not that serious, people!
Thanks for all your work! I would love to see you try some asian mascaras (e.g. Clio Superproof, Heroine make). They're very waterproof and smaller wands that really helps you get in there and coat every lash.
This video is so entertaining lol. In my experience of pretty short lashes with NO curl- have to use an eyelash curler every time…. Benefit they’re real was a game changer bc the stiff brush with silicone bristles did help curl my lashes and the formula wasn’t too wet that my lashes would lose curl. I also liked benefit bad gal- would like to try it with the They’re Real Brush. Interested your thoughts on waterproof mascaras with my wedding coming up! Loveeee your videos

You tried so many maskaras except for "Giordani gold iconic all-in-one" which is the best maskara I have ever seen in my life. With this maskara my eyelashes look natural. Separation and length is perfect. It holds up two days. Doesn't smudges or sticks eyelashes. I can't afford it because it way too expensive. I hope to get this maskara again. By the way I would really appreciate it if you make another video with eye pencils and eyeliners.I don't now which one is really waterproof and long lasting. Which one is the best. This is awesome! We love playing the long game 👏🏼 I think it would be helpful in the comparison shots if you labeled some more! So like with the frame showing the rows of mascaras, it took me a while to figure out a few things: where the mascara was that you were talking about (I would suggest putting a colored box around the one you’re currently talking about) and what the side by side is showing (I’m guessing two coat application on the left and end of day on the right?). Just a suggestion! As always, awesome work!
I loved a couple of these mascaras; the benefit fanfest is great! I was surprised I didn’t see the Lancôme defincils, that is by far my favorite mascara and definitely worth a try if you haven’t already! I’ll have to try the tower 28 next though!
Tubing mascara is the only mascara that doesn’t melt onto my eyes, so I can’t wait for that showdown!!!

Busy watching this video whilst getting ready. My absolute go to mascara has for years been the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme. I tried the Too Faced Better than Sex and hated it, but thank you for the recommendation to layer it. I’ve just applied as a second coat and it looks great so I don’t need to throw it away 😊

So I bought the Tower 28 after seeing this video and it’s not the best for me. My lashes are naturally long, so I need volume. I found the mascara very thin. So it would be great for a more natural look.
So far the best one I’ve found for me is the Tarte Tartelette Tubing Mascara

Awesome video! Thank you for all the work you put into putting all these comparatives together. I am surprised you included Hourglass Unlocked as it's a tubing mascara. Hourglass Unlocked was my favourite for many years until I replaced with Thrive Cosmetics Liquid Lash Extensions.

I feel like we have a similar mascara taste so I really hope to see the Lancome Lash Idole somewhere in the top, if you testes it! It's the only expensive mascara I like, but i use the waterproof version
I always wear waterproof mascara as it never flakes or transfers ,also great for my outdoor lifestyle ,horses and big dogs ,and never know when downpour is going happen.

I got the ilia mascara and i really loved the brush
I live in Germany, so I don't really have access to Tower 28 products. When my boyfriend had a flight to San Francisco, I asked him to bring me this ONE mascara from Sephora and he did? What can I say? I love it!

I got a sample of the nars and loved how it looked but my God it smudges so bad I had to return the regular size right after purchasing it. Glad you agree on that one

I don’t use the higher end mascaras because I found my fave drugstore one in L’Oréal Bambi Eye.
I really like the Maxfactor masterpiece one. I use it already 10+ years!
