I am thinking about a new type of restaurants : eating-spots, in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate, this is opposed to current restaurants, thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are way more powerful than restaurants, along with that, there is an app, people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days, menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app
Agree 100%. We forget that the school system that inculcates the culture of being an employee, was conceptualised by wealthy industrialists with government. Their aim was to create a never ending supply of workers, not entrepreneurs. This is the reason why we think entrepreneurs are special people - they are simply people who dared to want something different to what has been prescribed for them.
In New Zealand the high schools run a programme to encourage entrepreneurship. Teams of kids are mentored by volunteer business people to develop a product or service and develop it as a business - it's good learning for them. And a few of these actually turn into real businesses or products!
I have seen this video 100’s of times. I am an entrepreneur who is struggling to get my Small business up and running. Every time I face a hurdle , I see this video and gain strength to keep moving forward. Ms. Sahar, I cannot explain in words how much this video has helped me and how much it means to me. Thank you 🙏🏻
- Sound of reason vs sound of fear - don't worry about not knowing - no point having ideas on head, start putting it on paper - business plan- what to do, how to do, how much and with whom and where - 40 rejections - entrepreneurs= obstacles course - anyone can do it - you become when you start - there is an entrepreneur within, it's just about bringing it out - lazy ppl cannot become entrepreneurs - 5 steps: idea- find something you love, market research- do your business plan be organised, raise money, making it happen- bootstrapping, self belief, don't give up- there is no overnight success, - find the star within you - combine what you do with who you are - difficult but happy
This has got to be one of the best TEDx Talk. The pace, execution, timing, pertinence ,and most of all the clarity of thought is astounding in this presentation. It has everything you want a great speaker to touch upon. Love it 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
This is probably the most eye-opening TED talk I've watched. This lady was on point with everything she said. She's talking real life here and this is what I needed the most right now as I am also starting my own venture in entrepreneurship. :D This needs to be shared!
Unbelievable talk! I started watching by accident, thought of giving up after 10 seconds, stuck with it little more and finally watched in awe till the end. Thank you Sahar Hashemi.
This was directed to me. As a recent graduate, I have started my 9- 5 job. Growing up, I always spot gaps in the market or problems that need solutions where I go. I started walking around/ tagging my small notebook wherever I go and write my business ideas. I have so many of them and wish to start. The only challenge is lack of capital. I am now trying to save up from 9- 5 to to open implement one of my smallest business that I can afford.
I love what she said about the business plan. I went through the exact thought process as her -- exactly the same. But in the end, I trusted myself because I knew the market, I like what I do, and I just answered one question at a time. Business plans can be just a plain A4 paper with the ugliest handwritings & drawings... But it cements your ideas and you can visualise your goal. I'm so happy to watch this video because it's 100% true, no BS.
I appreciate this so much. I’ve been an entrepreneur since a young age and always collapsed ideas from self doubt despite a true belief and passion. Thank you for standing up and sharing your experience. You are awesome!
By far one of the best Tedx talks to me. I have been an entrepreneur since my early ages (with a good number of failures), but no one like Sahar has expressed this clear. Wow.
Lovely speech. Thank you Sahar! I loved it all, but that ending sentence really sealed the deal for me. “I have never met an unhappy entrepreneur” So true. Neither have I!
I currently hate my "career" if you can call it that. I feel like I deserve so much more, this was so inspirational. Change is definitely uncomfortable but also necessary ... Thanks for this.
I listened to Sahar speak at Holly Tucker’s Congregation of Inspiration event September 2019. She was absolutely amazing. Talked about a lot of the same things as here. A wonderful speaker and I took so much from her advice.
I got the immense encouragement, support and confidence from this video. I will definitely salute for your "never give up" attitude. But whatever business you do, you will definitely have to do digital marketing for your business. It does not only save your money but also 7save your time and labour. You can have all your answers from this video. Please go through the link:
Your talk was laid out clearly, and was bubbling with passion. I love the pins in the bank manager stick figure the best! I hope you're enjoying your next adventure, whatever that is now. You appear to be a smart, beautiful and skilled woman.
What an inspiring talk, straight to the point and insightful as well. Indeed entrepreneurship is a journey you discover once you start the first step, "implementing the idea".
Wow she is a bit different when it comes to motivating people. She combined her personal story and her learnings along the way. Generally I m very impatient when it comes to going through the full length in this type of videos but I was very patient with this lady. Thank u very much. U just inspired me n lots of people
I loved the emphasis of how the school system is meant to create an employee rather than an entrepreneur. Truly when we escape this mindset can we create the journey of entrepreneurship. We have the choice to either get comfortable or be uncomfortable and work our way to becoming who we want to be rather than what we're taught growing up.
Very good talk, but I thought it was funny that she said "The manager followed us outside, and confiscated our cameras". Little did she know, that most New Yorkers would have just flipped off the manager, and walked away anyways, LOL.
Amazing quality info! Definitely inspiring for everyone. Had me in tears at some points because you can tell the drive she has and that to me is so beautiful, watching someone talk about there passion.
This material is noteworthy. I found a book on the topic that was just as remarkable. "The Hidden Empire: Inside the Private Worlds of Elite CEOs" by Adam Skylight
Don't give attention to dough it set in fear and destroy your dreams as an entrepreneur. A well digressed start up. Start putting stuff on the papers it keep track of your thoughts.
I love her accent ❤
It makes me consume her brilliant points even more
I like how she gave us a history of her entrepreneurial journey instead of some abstract motivational speech
Kiki Worlali yes so true! Ted talk should be a ashame when they let people ramble about nothing. I could just read a book
TOTALLY
Exactly my thoughts

Lol you mean you love how she didn’t know what to do with her life so she just copied someone’s work in an entire different continent

You are perfectly correct all the way

quite interesting . thanks.
She so honest and you can feel the hard work and hardships she experience.
How do you feel the hardship

Best brutally honest speech on entrepreneurship!! Lots to learn
Why does TH-cam not recommend this types of videos more often?
Because it recommends you the similar types of video you often watch.
Like the video and it gets boosted up for others to see. TH-cam's algorithm prioritizes what gets views and positive reviews.
they are commies thats why!
They may be pushing vids with more ads?

@@Zo-hc2fn It's a bad idea that will never work. Now go prove me wrong.
Top Three: No one is determined in advance; Combine what you do, with who you are; Make it happen.
"Leap and the net will appear" wow that's now in my remarks reminders
Yes love that quote by John Burroughs.
Unbelievable talk! I started watching by accident, thought of giving up after 10 seconds, stuck with it little more and finally watched in awe till the end. Thank you Sahar Hashemi.
Thanks for reminder! It’s easy to forget that doubt isn’t the voice of reason but rather the voice of fear, and that we need to press delete on it!
This talk basically clears all my doubts about becoming an entrepreneur. Massive thank you!
I like the simplicity and naturalness’ she applies to her success story . So inspiring
"necessity is the mother of invention". This talk is so brutally true to the bone.
"All of us have an entrepreneur within".
Who agrees?
👍🏼

This is literally the most motivational and real account of an entrepreneurial start up that I’ve heard! ❤️❤️

Are u an entrepreneur?
This gave me goosebumps! Thank you! You're such an amazing speaker.
Because she speaks from her heart.
This is one of my best TEDx talk.
LADY is a CHAMP! No matter obstacles/challenges, GO FOR IT, MAKE IT FIT, BE A HIT!
Excellent speech! Really appreciate her honesty. Thank you, Sahar, for sharing your experience.
Read Anyone Can Do It more than a decade ago, very inspirational on her journey with her brother on starting Coffee Republic.
the realist entrepreneurship video i watched. thank you
I appreciate this so much. I’ve been an entrepreneur since a young age and always collapsed ideas from self doubt despite a true belief and passion. Thank you for standing up and sharing your experience. You are awesome!
Rightly said - Optimism and enthusiasm two qualities that lawyers cannot have. How true how true.
By far one of the best Tedx talks to me. I have been an entrepreneur since my early ages (with a good number of failures), but no one like Sahar has expressed this clear. Wow.
I already watched this video and came back because it's my favorite Ted talk ever
What I learnt till now is it's nobody's duty to motivate you, push you, help you or assist you, you yourself have to push yourself.
She has a really good and smart brother :)
Lovely speech. Thank you Sahar!
I loved it all, but that ending sentence really sealed the deal for me.
“I have never met an unhappy entrepreneur”
So true. Neither have I!
One of the best Ted Talks! This opened my eyes and made me more determined to be an entrepreneur
and youtube recommended me this video after 4 years good!!
This is by far the best vid on YT.
Why this type of videos are free in TH-cam so valuable video i learnt so much
I currently hate my "career" if you can call it that. I feel like I deserve so much more, this was so inspirational. Change is definitely uncomfortable but also necessary ... Thanks for this.
Incredible, what a strong entrepreneurial history!
