- This truck came into the turn a little too fast for the icy conditions we had this morning and slid off into the ditch on the far side. He had a light load so I was a pretty simple recovery, but it didn't do quite what I wanted, so we changed plans on the fly and moved the @zackliftinternational4841 around to the front and got him pulled out no problem.
No damage done during the accident or recovery, everybody was safe, and the customer was happy. Ethan was also very happy with the new @Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD ZR2 as his new temporary traffic control truck, so all in all it was a good job!

Wonder if Ethan knows he just Eye Candy for Casey's pathetic attempt to manipulate the female demographic 😂
😂
Holy shit you sound like a tool
I thought that is what Grumpy was for.
@@57WillysCJ You could be on to something 😂
'introducing the 2024 Ethan and Grumpy calendar....'
You need to give grumpy his own hi viz vest with your logo on it with grumpy on the back. 😂
Agreed
@deadman0235 Ditto
Grumpy hates Casey LaDelle.
Everyone NEEDS a high visibility vest. I have one in my pickup trucks. Cones, truck to warn was nice addition. A rotating light for pickup would be a good addition. Just magnet mount.
Yes, if he is going to stand there in traffic he should be wearing a vest.
It's been said before, but the way he listens to everyone and actually takes into consideration what they say is a great quality.
Absolutely ! 2 or 3 heads are better than one if there logical thinkers .
The definition of intelligence, to involve all available information into your decision making process. 😊
I bet Mrs. Grumpy loves when you ask grumpy to come out for a run. Get him out of the house
I totally agree! What a GOOD NEIGHBOR!!!
give him a video camera to record his own view
I Would like it a lot to be on a trip like Mr Grumpy. I could use a little day care myself
Not a bad ride.
Time away from the wife ..
Oh wait ... is that why Casey works for so long doing recoveries ???
Beautiful work Casey. Grumpy should wear a safety vest.
You could try to get him to wear one...I'd pay to see that!
Supervisor Grumpy should have a safety 🦺 on
Good planning on washing the truck. It worked as designed.
I told you!
Haven't had much snow in Iowa since early January. Thinking about taking the snowplow off my designated plow truck😂
@@rosscoder6380 you know if you do that it will snow zhe next day just to f you up
@@shinoharazockt9912agreed but maybe he needs the money 💰 lol that would be one way of looking at it
@@rosscoder6380DONT DO IT!! I took mine off last week and had to put it back on Thursday morning when we got 4 inches..🤬🤬🤬
You have to get Grumpy a Hi-Vis vest!
YES! Also, a hard hat with a revolving yellow light on it! But the reflective vest first.
I'm glad to see you teaching him the ropes, which makes the job go smoothly when everyone understands the operation of the equipment
Very pleased to see you have Trained Ethan to help. You were doing everything yourself and I sensed it was becoming a bit too much.
Ethan has worked out swimmingly! Goodsence of humor, quick learner, excellent communicator and handy traffic controller
And! His batteries don't go flat! 😁
Several different things going on here. Utmost respect for Casey for not only listening to thoughts/feedback from others, but huge, huge kudos for being willing to show Ethan the various procedures and methods of recovery. I think it's awesome for more than one reason - it's always nice to have someone available as a backup, and his being able to help rig and un-rig is priceless. This also increases Ethan's awareness of the risks involved, which actually makes it safer for both of them since it's always a benefit to have a second set of eyes when you are operating in the situations that wreckers are necessary in. Knowledge is a good thing, and Casey is an excellent teacher!!
Glad to see Ethan getting training on doing more work, always was curious when you did everything and he just filmed. Seemed there was some things he could easily help with.
His job is to be the camera man
Always good to have a camera man that can multi task. Never know when you need more than two hands.@CaseyLaDelle
@@CaseyLaDelleyeah I get that but a few times there was a chain to unhook or rope to release and he was next to it. Seemed it would be even better for him to do it while recording then move so you could. Love the content though, been binge watching since I just found your channel about a month ago
@@michaelbolin8841 One day Ethan will hand over the camera to Casey and tell him to join with Grumpy, while he does the work himself! 😜
@@michaelbolin8841 Yeah, it's a winning formula like Fab Rats involving Hunter more in the actual fabrication work makes him even better as a cameraman too.
Looks like training Ethan is working out pretty good, and having a traffic control vehicle is a smart move, because we all know how stupid certain ignorant individuals are when they are driving even though they don't know how to drive to begin with
I wonder if Casey is getting Ethan trained up so he can run the rollback while Casey runs the zacklift
@@The_JEB that is a possibility
I love ZACKLIFTs. ❤
I was never interested in the big rig recovery, I was fascinated by the smaller off road recoveries you did, especially in the snow. I did put to use some of the things I learned from watching you and MORR into action when I was out 4WD in the Brindabella Ranges near Canberra (Australia) and recovered a ute (pick up) that had rolled and got it on it's wheels. When you went to the big rigs and got the big tow truck and assembly, I was losing a bit of interest as it's not my thing, but I have been converted - it is fascinating to see your problem solving and how amazing that set-up you have works so well. It's a great team you have built as well. Great content!
Teaching Ethan while holding the camera felt like you were teaching us watchers too! Amaizing
I love you for teaching your employee a skill that will make him a more skilled partner someday. Guidance and listening and letting him do the work without any real consequences of it didn't work.
I’m telling you, Casey a lot of companies could definitely benefit from the auto chains. I know you certainly have. And I know I have too.
Agreed, no auto chains in his area is like having no insurance on you truck, I am a flatlander in Canada ,although we don't get huge amounts of snowfall each winter ,we do get the extreme cold and very icy roads all winter long and i believe in good quality snow tires and drive out of town everyday for work and they have been the difference of getting there safely versus the boys in the 4x4's with summer tires in the ditch thinking they are invincible ,
@@99unclebobon the ambulance we had a saying that 4x4 helps you go but doesn't help you stop. Also 4wd can get you unstuck from 2wd and you will need outside help if you get 4wd stuck. A winch seems to be the outside help missing from most 4wd trucks.
Ethan is going to become a good operator.. His ideas are showing great progress
Another win. The 3 amigos
Ethan becomes a 9:36 swamper, making suggestions, running lines, great teaching Casey
Grumpy needs a reflective vest when standing on the road. Zack machine a great tool.
I totally agree. Safety first and GRUMPY FOREVER
That ZACKLIFT is a beast!
GREAT to see Grumpy out and supervising.
GREAT to see Ethan helping out.
Glad to see you're still NOT lazy.....
Them trail mater hats are nice. Rory is a good guy 👍
Sippin Saturday recovery video,
Good to see the whole crew out and about today. 🎉❤😂
Install a coffee maker and a crockpot full of hearty beef stew and charge extra for meal service 😉
Good job getting him back on the road! Good morning Grumpy!
Always GREAT to see him “out and about”. You go Grumpy!
I love seeing Grumpy!
I saw on Facebook that Edison came out with a sleeper mock up for the production trucks , add auto chains and powered front axle then slap the genesis on the back , the 4900 is a great rig but having 6x6 capability would be awesome
Good Idea .
Having a " friend" plus co-worker as in Ethan is a Great combination! Also the neighbor Mr. [Wilson, Tim Allen Toolman] Grumpy your Group is outstanding !!!!
With lockers on each axle and between axles.
@@kensherwin4544 on the Edison trucks having E axles its like having permanently engaged lockers 24/7 so no need for a traditional diff lock
HEY! Good morning Casey and thumbs UP!!!
Grumpy is the hardest work there, he's the Supervisor!!!!
Another great video. Ethan is certainly learning the ropes. You should get Grumpy a hi viz vest. Great Cascade Rescue team.
A supervisor - we’re in safe hands!
Zachlift to the rescue again…. Keep it up guys. Glad to see Grumpy coming out to play too …. 🎉🎉🎉
Thought you said winter was over let me give you a little hint from living in central Oregon for 33 years late January early February we get a false, spring around the second week of February winter comes back with a vengeance. You don’t expect spring till the fourth weekend of April which is usually the opening of trout season because it always snowed on opening a trout season. And Summer till after the sisters rodeo
We JUST had our first "measurable" snow for the year in mid-Minnesota. 5" woo-who!
It's snowed here in May before too, 6".
So, no, winter ain't over!
good job
That's awesome.. digging the traffic control vehicle. Seems like Grumpy needs a reflective vest as well. 😉
Thanks for the video
It's always good to have another person that knows how to run the equipment. If things go sideways, they might be the one to save the day and possibly your life especially where you operate.
Zacklift is amazing. Knowing how to use it is priceless. Thanks Casey and crew!
It is cool you are busy enough to get a helper. Congratulations! Hi to Grumpy.
I love that rig! Prerolls, funny. Train that boy, I'm 57 and I'd be runnin. I love this kind of thing.
It was suppose to be a PLAY day in the new truck, including Riley, but then a "job" came in! 🙃 They eventually got back on track! Grumpy came home HAPPY! Mrs G
Grumpy makes the video that much better! Thank you for letting him come out and play.
Happy Grumpy is a good thing. Glad they got to have their play day and that Grumpy got to adventure with Casey and Ethan.
thank you Casey, i could actually see how they work now. I appreciate your teaching ability.
A big job not to far from your house, got to love a nice pay day, and being home in 20 minutes.
Great Team with Grumpy & Ethan ❤ Love when Grumpy is there ❤❤❤
It's a beautiful thing when you have really good equipment and the job just gets done without a problem. Nice work.
It's so generous of you to humor Ethan by pretending to care about his ideas 😆
Nah, he's doing pretty well for a camera operator turned tow trucker 😀
Hey Casey! Always glad to see Grumpy tagging along. But seriously give that man a camera. I know it's more editing, but just my thought. And yes I like where you are taking the Ethan project, it's good to see the wanting to learn and your knowledge and willingness to help carry another lost experience! Thank you for all you do!
I know why Grumpy is grumpy, and what Ethan will be like when he gets older. Getting Probed by Aliens will do that to you! 😊
Dam, how did you get Ethan to finally do something 😂😂😂 Good job Ethan 👏
Great video
Awesome job, great recovery. Sorry to tell you, but the best part was that Grumpy was right there with you guys.😊
Nice recovery bar on the front of that semi. That'll really keep the frame of the semi from getting jacked up by pulling on only one frame rail. Good job Casey!
Proper tools make your job easier and safer
Ok I'm feeling the comradery.. Casey, Ethan, and Grumpy.. yes.. 👍
It’s nice that you have a trainee, it’s funny watching you. It’s all second nature to you, not so much for the trainee yet.
Need to have Ethan get his class a cdl so he can drive the western star if your sick or something like vacation
Great recovery Casey,, Ethan and Grumpy.
Loving your work as always!
That’s the kind of recovery I like to see where the driver can drive away and make his delivery
Casey you and crew ROCK! I love seeing Grumpy get out with you!
I work for a tucking company and our drivers don't know what is on their truck only the weight and if it is hazmat
I drove a 50 ton rotator rig, and I'm impressed whith your skills!
When a driver says he doesn't know what he's hauling...take him back to be retrained.
Was thinking the same. Doesn't know the weight or cargo. New York plates.
Good equipment and a smart brain to use it to its best advantage, always like to see Grumpy along and it keeps him out of Mrs Grumpy hair.
You make it look soooo easy.
You’re a good bloke, Casey. Gday from Australia. Tropical heat and humidity here.
Grumpy needs a high visibility vest.
Another Fine Rescue .Good to see Grumpy . Good to see Ethan Learning ,He may be a designated Camera man Still good to have help sometimes
Great video thank you!
Good morning Casey.
Wow that rig is loaded with all kinds of goodies. Great rescue!
Thanks for explaining those things to hold your hooks. Was wondering how it came undone. Pretty neat set up.
That Zack lift is a beast!!
I am not even in Usa, but sweating about the work you guys are doing!😂
Hi all. Good to see Grumpy today. Stay safe out there.
You know Casey, If you back the ivertool eyelet off 1/4 of a turn it will be easier to remove. 😂
Whew! I fell for it, went to his channel, and ended up subscribing! Good job, Casey!😂
That’s an impressive tow! Nice job!!
Like the explanation you give on why you do what you do 👍
You have a lot of different tools at your disposal to use. Good Job!
Great Team Work
Love how you give your version of recovery, then ask the others for their opinion.. respect.
Of course, Grumpy always does a great job.
The more I watch, the more I am impressed with your choice of equipment. That Zacklift is a is really a workhorse!
*Patiently waiting for people to call out the fact that the loaner truck has Blinky blinks instead of whirrlly doo's on it*
From a short, I think it's either a tryout or a rental.
@@jby6277 Yes. It's a loaner from chevy.
@@StephenF. My bet is that, from how much Casey likes it, that the loner, or one very much like it, will soon be the newest Cascade Heavy Rescue rig.
Good job Casey! My only concern was Grumpy needed a nice Safety jacket and Ethan needed a better safety vest and or jacket. I worked in the roads of Utah and I know how dangerous other drivers are. I worked at UDOT and am retired.
Another job made easier by the driver listening to the operator and doing as asked
That’s For sure my neighbors had a woman slide off into ditch. I had pulled out into roadway and snow was a good foot deep and my truck at the time was only two wheel drive. And I told her to keep them at an angle so that when I pulled it would come out of the ditch instead of going down it. And she kept turning the wheel back opposite, after three attempts and almost two hundred feet, I was exasperated and pissed. Told her to call a wrecker I give up. Sometimes you just can’t fix stupid
Good job Ethan! Massachusetts work ethic.
Nicely done Casey,Ethan and Grumpy a well honed team, the driver was glad to have you get him out, i feel for him, we just had multiple days of freezing drizzle , then melting snow back to -23 celsius up to above freezing again yesterday for about 10 days in a row, just earlier than usual for work to avoid all the traffic, great video team 👍 Casey Ethan has become an asset to you
Nice work I see winter is still hanging on same with us in ny
Casey, Ethan and Grumpy. "The Three Amigos" Cheers!
It's great to watch Ethan being mentored by Casey👍It's adding a completely new deminsion to the channel, not to mention Casey having the option of sending Ethan out on solo jobs, perhaps in the smaller wrecke
Ethan is earning that new seat. Seems like good help too, beyond just a camera guy and comedic relief.
The driver did a great job following directions. I agree with other commenters, Grumpy should have a Hi-Vis vest! Makes him part of the team, which he is, and for his and team safety! Ethan is “very sharp” and picks up what you teach him quickly. Love that you are teaching him, the more minds you have working the problem the better! Thank you for passing on your knowledge to the next generation. Keep that safety truck by any means necessary…. snag it with the ZackLift if needed to keep it 😂
Like these heavy recoveries with zack lift. But also I miss those when cars are stuck in the woods etc.
I wish I had dual receptors for tow hooks, in the front of my car, and a crossbar to go between, with mounts for a winch. Then it's just a matter of enough slings and some place to hook on to. That would be nice on a snowy/icy day.
That is the coolest tow rig ! 👍👏👏
Pretty clean recovery 😊
Smooth as silk with the right equipment and know how. You're the best Casey!
That's a nice Chevrolet 😊😊
Casey, you are amazing!
