  • In this first episode of Shot Analysis, Team Norma member Steffen Foullon makes a shot analysis of a front leg hit. A shot analysis is important, because where you shot the animal is not always evident. In these cases, a shot analysis will help you determine where the animal was hit, and what your next steps should be.
If you shoot at a deer, and the deer does not fall to the ground instantly, you need to go to the point of strike. The point of strike is where the deer was standing when it took the shot, and this area will help you determine where the bullet hit the animal.
In this episode of the Norma Shot Analysis, Steffen Foullon tells you what to look for if you hit the front leg of a roe deer.

If it was shot with 300 win mag any roe or whitetail deer would die from hyperstatic shock and snap its spine of hit front leg or back leg
