    I was first introduced to Roosh as a 16 year old, trying to figure out my place in life. And i subscribed to all the old writings and engaged in a lot of sin, i am not blaming Roosh, it was all me. But overtime i felt the yearning for god within me. And found my way into the Orthodox church, come to find out he has too! What a blessing, may Lord have mercy on all of us.

    God is 100% real. Isn't it insane how all these pick up artists ended up on the same spiritual journey back to God?! Roosh - you probably don't remember me but I met you in Poland - actually got to be a real PUA for a bit. I was a drunk mess back then. I'm completely sober now on the journey to God. I feel that by chance meeting you in a foreign country - when I was already reading your book and a huge fan - was a sign from God. I needed to fully experience that PUA lifestyle for myself to realize deeply that it would not lead to long-term happiness or fulfillment. So great to see you on the same path. Stay blessed my friend

    • @pape37
      @pape37 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know if it really was an error though. People adapt to changing circumstances. With most marriages now, for believers and nonbelievers, failing at an increasing rate, it’s both unrealistic and cruel to expect young men to be celibate until middle age while waiting for something long term to materialize. Roosh admits that his preference had always been to have a real relationship, and when that proved difficult in this modern climate, he went the other way. We all have a tendency to idealize what we haven’t experienced. I agree with him that a lasting marriage sounds great. But in 2021 America, that’s not as easy to keep together as an arranged marriage at age 14 centuries ago when there was no other choice. In any case, every generation has its challenges, and resolving this one is one of ours. I wish him luck.

    The saddest thing is the only reason why the fourth council wasn’t recognized by the Armenian church was because none of them were able to take part in the discussion since many were just slaughtered by Persia, and there was bitterness as just as in modern times, no ally comes to aid Armenians as the Byzantine emperor refused to supply aid. Had they even shown an ounce of consideration or allowed another discussion inviting Armenian priests who survived, it could have shown at least the church cared when their government did not. That is why there was the schism with identity. Does the Ukrainian Orthodox Church no longer count as orthodox for schism with Russia because of their pain with Russia?
    Too bad Nerses the Gracious died before reunifying Orthodoxy. He had made excellent progress with the Greek Orthodox Church. Sadly he died short of healing the senseless schism, mirroring his death stopped Armenian attendance in the fourth council.

    And then the heavy Trads whose faith is entirely intellectual and the mystical aspect doesn't even touch them sadly even if they pray the Holy Rosary, there is no hint of an Hesychast spirituality, no depth but an argument, always a defensive or LOL an offensive approach to argument. There's a lot to say. But Orthodoxy goes deep as of on steroids! In my humble opinion While catechism and theology are important, the life is in living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and this is where the spiritual athletes are! Here they are. A well from which to drink that transforms! Not an intellectual discourse which oh my goodness never ceased to disappoint. This is where they Orthodox Church brings peace and light.

    Modern ecumenism's worst trait may be that we, as Oriental and Eastern Orthodox, can't proceed with exploring the issues officially without worry that the world's syncretism will spill in like it did at the time of the sixth Ecumenical Council. You all need to come home.

    Monophysitism is a dumb distinction probably hampered more by translation issues in the past. One nature fully human and fully divine is the same as two natures human and divine. Arguing about this is reminiscent of Muslims considering Christians to by polytheists because they cannot reconcile that God the Holy Spirit and Christ are considered one.

    So, I take issue with your inconsistent logic pertaining to your stance on women's possession (or lack of) freewill/moral agency
    - So on one hand, you'll suggest the promiscuous women who has slept with perhaps numerous dozens of men was oppressed by demons/the culture/lustful men - thus these women DID NOT have moral agency
    - But then when we're celebrating the genuinely repentant prostitute st Mary of Egypt (or any other woman who is a saint in the Catholic or Orthodox church) , we'll then duhhhh...of course we give her credit & hello! She's canonized as a saint in our church too right? So obviously she's made good "choices" & "decisions" in her life & then DOES have moral agency
    - Yet you'll also claim that the tattooed, green haired rebellious woman is a mere "victim" of satanic attacks - thus that woman DOES NOT have moral agency over her life outcome
    - Now surely this previous Mother's day (during your Sunday sermon) you've brought to light some of the amazing stories of the pious, selfless, charitable, thoughtful, & righteous wives & mothers of your church parish (which I do agree should be publicly recognized) but my question is, well...since you seem to believe women deserve credit for their good choices & decisions in life, when do women deserve some blame for their bad decisions? Surely, you don't think all women are sinless & infallible, correct? You couldn't possibly think that women too can never fall short of God's glory & miss the mark, right?
    And lastly...do you disagree with how Job conducted hinself when he rebuked his own wife when she told him to "curse God and die"?

  • @sistemasrbija
