    Thank you dear Father . I am a protestant. I listen to all your videos because they are biblically sound.
    I have been meditating these days on Romans 6, that I have been buried with Christ thro baptism that I may walk in newness of life. I have been wondering and praying and asking how I may walk more in newness of life. And your video just made that more clear to me. We do that by hearing Christs voice. My will must never be allowed to become more strong in my life than the voice of Christ.
    But I see most of the time my will, strengthened by what I see , hear and understand, from the happenings around me, is strong and tending towards self-preservation.
    But I have to be deaf/dead to it, so that I may truly live. I want to do that. I dont want to live in twilight zone with half my will and half Christ's. I want to take all of His will, His voice. That is possible when I have great trust. Please pray for me.

      I'll pray for you!!! I was Protestant. I don't know yet Orthodoxy, but thankfully to God, I've been reading and studying scriptures most of my adult life, most daily... walking into an Orthodox worship service reminded me of the Way Christians used to worship, as God gave us the how-to's in the Old Testament!
      Traditions of men are the things of men, not the traditions of God!
      We call our dads, father.. we call our teachers, teacher..
      We honor celebrities,, idolize vanity,athletes...
      We ask our respected friends to pray for us. We read books written by-- who we think- people who live holy lives to help us.
      So, why aren't we following God's way to worship?
      We aren't we revering our Shepherd, who is our Father/priest on earth?
      Why aren't we reading books, the lives of saints who have proven their lives to be holy-- set apart? Not tv evangelists and the popular most recent preacher? Why aren't we dressing modestly to take attention away from ourselves and to present ourselves as holy to God when in worship? Why do people demand to come unholy to God? Why are they going out easily to sin, disparaging the blessed grace of God? Why aren't we living in deep thanks for Gods grace? Why arent we repentant?confessing our sins daily-- bc we absolutely do sin daily. Why isn't our salvation treated with deep deep holiness, reverence and gratitude in our thoughts, actions? They go about "lovers of themselves... ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of God"... 2 Tim 3 is so good and so telling of what the mainstream Protestant church has become.
      This is why and many other reasons why I am so very thankful to now worship in an Orthodox Church. I don't understand all of it, and I'm not quite there yet to commit, but so far, bc God has given me His grace to have read the scriptures for a very long long time, I see their worship and the people seeking His holiness and living to be set apart. Blessings to you dear Sister! His blessings to you!!❤🕊🌈

      Me too! I cldnt step into that ever again. It's interesting bc it grates on my heart. Always did anyway, but I did not know better why till now. Christianity is holy. Not of this world. Churches that refuse to not be like the world are saying they have no faith, no trust and little belief in the Power of Jesus Christ! Christianity is holy and set apart. Hallelujah, amen. Period.🙏🕊🌈💖

      I'm deeply sorry. I understand deep suffering. So does, above all of us, Jesus Christ. He suffered for us so we will be free from the chains of sin and death. So we can have joy in the morning, become a new creature through Christ. Suffering must bring us to healing. Joy also brings us Thankfulness which is also a part of the healing of our flesh. When I've suffered, I reach as far as I am able to Christ, and then ask His help to help me reach further to touch Him. I pray, as the women touched Jesus' garment and she was healed bc if her faith, that you wld also reach to touch Him and be healed, in Jesus' Name.. please read the scriptures. Psalms outloud over yourself, hoke and all environments. Find a loving orthodox Father who is happy to help you through your suffering, even if it has to be from phone communication until you're able to go to worship service. Worshipping the Lord in our suffering and in giving thanks revives our being." May God bless you, keep you, be gracious to you and shine His face upon you" in Jesus' Name.🌈🕊🌷

    That has been my understanding so far. Hell is a place for corruption, for those who choose the darkness over the light.
    When we come to the light our corruption is revealed and we see where we need to repent. Those who choose the darkness will never see their corruptions, or they love it.
    I see the corruption in myself, God help me repent and be clean.

    If death is the very end of our existence, which means: No life after death-no salvation-and no, Jesus Christ didn’t rise from the dead, then our lives would be no more important than a blade of grass…our lives would have no meaning.
    But thanks be to God, humanity has a beginning. And Jesus Christ, who was there from the beginning, is our hope, our sacrificial lamb-the reason for our joy and our eternal life after death. Amen.

    I’m a Christian who would be descibed as a protestant in the reformed tradition. I believe as stated by Paul: “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) Is this reason for the Lord’s death different from the beliefs of the Orthodox Church?

    “If death is the end, then nothing has purpose, nothing has reason…everything becomes meaningless and absurd and without any true purpose, if this life is everything and we die and there is no life beyond.” What could be further from the truth? What could be more selfish? So life has no inherent meaning?
    This is classic dualistic thinking which espouses either nihilism or eternalism. Fortunately, our life need not be plagued by such false, black and white options. The life of each individual need not be eternal in order to give life meaning. And if an individual’s life is temporary, it’s not inherently meaningless. Everything and everyone is a manifestation of divine nature, and therefore, all life is inherently precious, unique, and of infinite value and full of meaning.
    Religious ideas about eternal life aren’t what gives life meaning. What a sad life if that sort of impetus was required. Religion terrorizes people with the fear of death. Likewise, life doesn’t collapse into nihilistic, materialistic, hedonism if life is temporary. Rise above this dualistic thinking and awaken to who you truly are. You’ll find that life is the greatest gift there is. You’re inherently good, loving, joyful, peaceful, etc by nature. This experiential knowing and abiding as your true nature is ultimate freedom and happiness.

      Say that to children born to die in mere moments. To people in war zones. People with faith in God are not all depressed, nor are we all happy just because of our perspective. We understand others are happy when we are sad and others suffer while we are happy. True justice is only found through God and his decisions. Life is meaningless without his love and justice. You essentially believe everything and nothing at the same time making your belief mute and meaningless.

    • @Aaron-xb4rq
      @Aaron-xb4rq 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@oopslostmywings Those situations are tragic, but what I've said still applies no differently. Beliefs don't change reality - they can only distort. Beliefs are based in ignorance, not truth.
      God's justice is His love, and you are that love. Whether someone consciously lives as it is another thing altogether. I certainly don't believe everything, and I have no need for belief - only an experiential, lived knowing of who I really am. That's what everyone needs.

    • @oopslostmywings
      @oopslostmywings 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Aaron-xb4rq Well that would be a personal perspective just as someone who follows Christ has their own perspective. Neither is more justified to anyone except the follower. Speaking with authority over unknown things only creates false certainty. As a Christian I don’t believe my own knowledge I believe Gods knowledge surpasses mine so I don’t lean on my own understanding. It doesn’t mean I don’t question things, I just trust. Similar to what you are doing but with your own twist to it. I believe people mostly all believe the same thing they just word it differently or are not on the same level of understanding. Consent to the knowledge is important however.

    • @Aaron-xb4rq
      @Aaron-xb4rq 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@oopslostmywings I speak only from what I know to be true by lived experience. That's real wisdom. It does not require trust. This is something that can be known directly, by experience. Discovering who you are through noetic prayer via the Jesus Prayer, for example, opens one to direct experience of the Holy Spirit, which purifies, illumines, and deifies you. This is true repentance and theosis - transfiguration of one's mind, actualizing one's image of God into likeness with Christ. This isn't something reserved for Christ or a select few. It is everyone's inherent birthright and the point of our life.
