Mainstream media, over the past 5 years, has proven to be completely disconnected with their viewers. Aside from maybe a handful that have actually learned from the 2016 campaign what sticks in people's heads, most keep doing the same old shit they've done for the past 2 decades and wonder why all their viewers are moving to online/alternative sources. It's not even a single party thing. Both liberals and conservatives have moved away from mainstream media to the point where both hardliners of each side call it "fake news". Now with this virus going on and many different sources, people subscribe to a lot of different sources saying different things about how dangerous it could be and it's affect on the world's economy. Those massive news groups have all on their own created extreme distrust on who the average joe should get their news from. It's obfuscated to the point where it all seems untrustworthy and you should just listen along ideological lines. I could go on but it's not worth it. It'll come to light what small groups are on top of the media eventually and it will fracture the current global empires. 250 years is the average. Just know that.
@Fluffynator That's partly true but entirely irrelevant. Do you remember how John Kasich, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio turned around and licked Trump's ass after he became the nominee? That's because that relationship stuff didn't matter when you are the WINNER and all your opponents have been humiliated. They don't outwardly hate Trump, the Republicans who do still say Trump is a bad person are outliers.
Yeah this might be a disservice that memes did to use more than anything. People have gotten so hung up on pwning the libs with Twitter memes that basically never talk about actual policy, and when they do, it's with idiotic and hyper-simplified "memey" concepts which might be good for getting your message around when you don't care about facts, but are actually terrible for discussing political ideas effectively. Probably Trump won BECAUSE of this. His strategy basically consisted of turning off people's brains through a saturation bombardment of simple, braindead meme-format ideas. As it turns out, people are quite vulnerable to that, which is not surprising since US elections are basically reality shows.
The_Blazer So you disagree with your political opponents because, in your mind, they're horribly wrong about everything and the only way someone could believe what they believe is if they're an idiot. It's condescending, elitist pricks like you that got Trump elected in the first place and it will be condescending, elitist pricks like you that will get him re-elected.
Yeah. I felt him being so happy in that one moment. It’s hard to see how a meme can ruin one man’s whole career that it feels pretty unfair. But that’s how it is…

I made a guess Trump would win when all I saw when I turned on the TV or heard people talking. It was always about Trump. Negative or Positive. Hillary supporters talked about how bad Trump was, instead of talking about how good their candidate was.
Zach it’s true, trump suuuucks, but I don’t think we know much about Hilary’s qualities. (I’m Canadian, the news was mostly Trump, Hilary was just in the background.)
I called it too, I saw how much media time the guy was getting and said “Brand recognition and free press, this guy is going to tear into whoever runs across him.” And he did, I wasn’t surprised by how badly the media reacted, but he let them prove his points (debatable if they were good or not but still) and then he used simple language to steamroll anyone else. Hillary by contrast was far too formal compared to Trump and her talking points were ok, but what really sank her was the “Deplorable’s” speech. That alone ensured her probably most of the possible swing state votes that occurred in places like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida.

Its mostly because the former is pretty concise, foward, and clear about who it is talking about and the message it is trying to put out rather than the latter which is ambiguous and kinda just makes the person saying it look out of touch. @@ScholarHaruNot only that, but by being the only thing anybody remembers from the debate, it meant Kamala had a hard time defining herself as a candidate to the rest of the electorate, especially as someone different from the deeply unpopular Biden. A lot of Kamala supporters couldn’t even tell you what she stood for or what her policies were, aside from abortion and “Orange Man Bad”. That was a major problem when she already had a much shorter time to campaign than most candidates. The debate was her big moment to define her image and candidacy. She clearly was more prepared and the moderators were all on her side, and yet despite all of her own comments and answers, the only thing anybody remembers from that debate was Trump saying “they’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats”. @@tomhill3248 Trump is gonna win the primaries no questions asked. The Republican Party has already unilaterally declared their support for him. The only shot the Dems have of beating Trump is Bernie.
The other massive thing that should be considered is that usually after that one blunder that turns a candidate's bid into a laughing stock, the big backers (read: the guys who shove that sweet sweet funding) go away, leaving the candidate to eat up the last of their cash before being forced to give up since they can't run a campaign without money. Trump was *his own funding* through the whole ordeal, meaning a blunder wouldn't end his run. It's more a sidenote about why his campaign didn't entirely crash and burn right at the very start.
I am glad that you used the correct definition for the term "meme". Most people think that memes are merely images transmitted on the internet associated with a humorous caption.
More like the word took a new definition. Words are like that. Taking a new meaning. Mouse, keyboard, tablet, computer, desktop, and screen are some of the examples. Languages evolve. It's called semantic narrowing in the case of meme.

It also helps him that the Democrats absolutely insisted on running Hillary as their candidate despite how much she was loathed, even by members of her own party.
Bernie would have mopped the floor with him, but Dems decided to throw away his caucus votes and the super delegates wouldn’t have picked him anyway if the DNC higher-ups demanded it
who then did absolutely everything she could/the DNC did everything they could to piss off, demean and alienate the second most popular candidate who a huge portion of the party really believed in, saying the supporters of the guy who has an incredible history of being tolerant and suppporting civil rights were bigoted and sexist as opposed to the candidate who wasn't 100% for, say, gay marriage until the mid 2000s it was really just a master class in how to blow an election
I can piece together some of it to understand why Trump won. 1. The was controversial yet confident with results 2. The meme of this man was peak 3. The after failures of Joe Biden and all Democrats on pleasing the public. 4. Kamala lack in campaign or confidence to really speak up rather than blaming Trump. 5. Trump story was an underdog story and in the end he triumph.
Also Kamala was already in tremendous disavantage because of how late it took for Biden to resign thus making her campaign far less effective than Trump's who already done that before and was in the public consciouness for more time and more popular too.

There’s just flaws like there is in most voting systems. It just makes it so that not everyone can get a voice due to being in a polarized state one way or other. For example, I live in Washington and every year for decades it been blue, for god sake it’s called part of the “blue wall”. The people on the Eastern Side of state get very little voice outside of maybe 2 house votes (which does help even out the system little I appreciate that) . They have no say in the president election which I wish they did since 1.5 mil people voted Rep. So essentially it’s difficult to give the farmers or other small groups a voice in any system while being fair so no matter what, people (usually the losing side of a election) will complain that the other way is better for votes and that’s why they lost.

So. One man sumed up the winning of trump better than most of the mainsstream media. Congrats.

No city is going to be able to handle having an extra 1/4 of it's current population dropped there with no real naturalization.

Who?
So true! I learned about memes in Marketing class in College in the 1990s when the internet was just AOL and there was no social media
More like the word took a new definition. Words are like that. Taking a new meaning. Mouse, keyboard, tablet, computer, desktop, and screen are some of the examples. Languages evolve. It's called semantic narrowing in the case of meme.

This video was (and still kind of is) ahead of its time. Its no wonder this election was such a blowout; there were even more memes produced by Donald Trump this time than last time. The mugshot, the assassination attempts, the serving of McDonald's fries, and the garbage truck. It may be ridiculous and absurd that these things are what decide the outcome, but it nonetheless seems to hold true.
The euthanizing of Fred the Raccoon-who straight up SHARED FIRST NAMES with the Orange Man’s late father and late older brother-and Peanut the Squirrel, demonstrated the hypocrisy and double standards of a “safe blue” state’s immediate crackdown on exotic animals vs. taxpayer-funded freebies for legions of illegal aliens.

It doesn’t matter that they hate you if they all say your name. - Money Game
it’s about taking the “she sells seashells by the seashore” tongue twister and turns her shell market into a global operation. plus it mentions “run the be the president of the united states”
Great song
There's no such thing as bad publicity
10. The world is yours
She sells seashells on the seashore, but the value of these shells will fall
Due to the laws of supply and demand everyone wants to buy shells This is loads on the sand
Step one, you must create sense of scarcity, shells will sell much better if the people think they're rare you see, bear with me and take as many shells as you can find, hide them on an island, stockpile em high till they're rarer than a diamond
Step two gotta make the people think that they want them, really want em, really f*cking want em, hit em like Bronson, influencers, product placement, featured prime time entertainment, If you haven't got a shell then you just a f*cking waste man
Three, it's Monopoly, invest inside some property, start a corporation, make a logo, do it properly, "these shells must sell", that'll be your new philosophy, swallow all your morals, they're poor man's quality
Four, expand, expand, expand, clear forests, make land, fresh blood on hands
Five, why just shells? Why limit yourself, she sells seashells, sell oil as well!
Six, guns, sell clocks, sell diamonds, sell rocks, sell the time to a fish, sell the time to a clock
Seven, press on the gas, take your foot off the brakes, then run to be the president of the United States!
Eight, big smile mate! Big wave, That's great, now the truth is overrated, Tell lies out the gate
Nine, polarize the people, controversy is the game, it don't matter if they hate you if they all say your name!
Ten, the world is yours. Step out on the stage to a round of applause. You're a liar, a cheat, a devil, a wh*re, and you sell seashells on the seashore.
The ability to lead a country is insignificant next to the power of the Memes.

I remember everyone wanted to be Donald Trump in the 80’s and 90’s when I was younger. Even Obama wrote an essay he wanted to be Trump.

"Wanna see me do it again?"
It doesn’t matter how much you disagree, how much you dislike the guy, how much you’re looking forward to any potential impeachment process, no one can deny that pulling this off was damn impressive
Not really. It's mostly circumstance. The type of person Donald Trump is, combined with the opponent he faced and her absolutely cringe worthy campaign and past, combined with the type of meme-y humor the younger demographic that would support him was into.
He shaped his experience as a business tycoon into the presidential world, and he blew the competition out of the water. He basically had 5B handed over to him for ads, Hillary couldn't handle that, let alone the fact that of the people that gave their opinion, it is highly likely that the Hillary posse slacktivised (refer to Kony 2012) their way into defeat.

idk how people think that the electoral college is bad, it protects rural America from having to submit to the will of the cities
Yup, and the cities way too often forget that those sparsely-populated rural areas are where all the food comes from. Never, ever screw with the people who grow your food. The founding fathers spent much of _The Federalist Papers_ pondering over the dilemma for which the electoral college was their solution.
On the other hand, Bill Gates being the owner of the most farmland in the USA has been a troubling development. D=

I showed my parents this video. They really liked it. But one question they asked hurt me. “Who’s 4Chan???” I lost half my lifespan when I heard that.

Fass Qi And thanks to the alcoholism that sadly claimed the life of his older brother Fred in 1981, Donald swore against any potential for substance abuse. One could argue that he learned various trade secrets from peers in his wealth class who were open and suggestible when under the influence of this or that drug after a day at the office. He merely sat, listened, learned, and planned, feigning arrogance to an almost vulgar degree to throw naysayers off.
@@Wired4Life2 the swamp loved him until they realized he was about to take them down and then they FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT. It's like he was a double agent the whole time. I've watched this video about 5 times now and it's incredible. It makes so much sense of Trumps success. I really appreciate the time and effort that has gone into this and I wish more people would take the time to watch it, especially those that still in 2019 struggle with reality of the President that they have and how he got there.

@BlackButterCrunch people sometimes just want cookie cutter video of "documentary videos" but short lenght. just like you did said "my theory is that if it was a video about something that they were actually interested in they would more inclined to waste 35 minutes watching it" is pretty accurate.
