For years and years, Eric Jackson (WGBH Radio, Boston) would play all three sacred concerts as his Christmas Eve program. These are actually tough to find - glad this glorious music is out there!

Lovely. We did an excerpt concert. Only 10 songs from his Sacred Concert Collection in Gainesville, Florida, USA in November of 2020. We were innovative in many ways and it was the first of its kind. Representation from over 30 congregations. Held at an outside venue (The Cade Museum). Everyone wore masks and the attendees were at least 20 feet apart. They even came out IN THE RAIN to support the unifying effort. It was a beautiful exercise in unity.
All the rehearsing was done over the internet and phone. Many of the performers had not sang/played together until the performance.
We have a renowned storyteller Vivian Filer in our area who was not permitted to leave the house because of the health risks who did her spoken word piece live OVER THE PHONE! The fact that she wanted to celebrate unity this way so badly that she rendered her gift that way... It was remarkable.
I Love that this work of his ministers to the ministers. You cannot participate and not be blessed and encouraged. Glory to God!

Wow!!! the Gorgeous Duke Ellington. Such an Sensational Concert absolutely beautiful. And might I add Esther Marrow five stars for her she sounds just like Mahalia Jackson which is Extremely hard. Love this concert, it was absolutely Wonderful.

Duke is a legend, great bandleader and musician! Can't believe all the GREAT players in his band like Cats Anderson, Cootie Williams, Johnny Hodges, Louise Bellson to name a few! A band he kept going on for so many years!

Wonderful music... I didn't know these composition of Duke Ellington and I partecipated to a recent version here in Italy in the Basilica of San Sigismondo located at Rivolta D'Adda (Cremona) with a classic string quartet and the big band and vocalist.... amazing ... a great suggestion.
