I know some people have been critical of the Blade Runner 2049 score, but I, for one, love it...and my goodness, this isn't a dead-ringer for some of those theater-shaking sweeps....! Huge props.
awesome, that was great, i didn't even know that my Monologue, can do that, and that such a beautiful thing is even possible with it, now i see it with completely new eyes, thank you for the inspiration, great job!
On this edition of Hearts of Space, we'll take you on a dark, deep ambient space expedition. We will start the program with a piece by Alex Lim titled Resonance. From his latest album: Ambient Jam. Lol! Inspiring work Sir! Love it!
I was halfway thinking about selling mine because I felt like I was working with a very limited sound palate...but perhaps I just need to learn more about synthesis, which was my whole goal in buying this particular synth. So, back to work I guess. Thanks for the little push this video gave me to work harder!
Monologue comes with some crappy presets from the factory. Create some of your own and you will be amazed at how good it sounds... I was. Yes delay/reverb helps everything sound better.
You sure this is a Monologue? I've only seen this thing do Acid like sequences and people playing the presets. I guess a lot of the ambient background audio is from the Shimmer though. :-)
That is impressive! I've made some fairly good sounds with my Monologue but nothing as spectacular as this. I've not used my Monologue since I got the DSI Prophet Rev2 and the DeepMind 12, but you've inspired me to give it a go again. Maybe using a Ventris Dual Reverb using Shimmer and True Reverb combined with the Flashback delay I might be able to coax something nice and ambient. Maybe....
still not sure if i should buy one... i got a minilogue and i dream of performing with it and a silver monologue.... but there are so many behringers this year
I've the sounds but a patch or tutorial would be nice since I'm actually having a hard time believing that's actually the mono...why overide the sequence as well?
Ben, if you don't have someone to score the film yet, let me know. I've done a 10-episode webseries here on TH-cam and looking to get more experience in scoring. My current setup is based around Logic Pro X and Native Instruments products. Cheers!
@@epicon6 i know, Right???? everytime somebody mentions the Monologue, that same comment comes up.... dude needs to chill on the copy and pasting..... lol.....
@@Knoc_Whearity but he's Right. Without the Valhalla Reverb this Synth wouldn't sound Ambient at all. Reverb is essential for Sounds like OP is making.

Floating in the ether as time stands still for 9 minutes and 33 seconds
A tutorial on getting this sound man? It's incredible
Please stop dude! I'm trying to stop myself from buying a Monologue... And then I see this... Awesome jam, well done my friend
I just bought one myself cause of videos like this, and I don't even know what to do with it.
Try to run it through some effects like reverb an delay:)
why would you "try and stop yourself"??
you only try and stop yourself from buying Buchla/Make Noise/Moog.....
€245? you should be trying harder!
Thanks for your efforts...Monologue owner of 4 weeks....I'm encouraged to push it harder

Alex you nailed it!! Big swells etc etc , shimmer really sets this on it's journey, and to think that the monologue is leading - brilliant ;-)

This sounds great. I had a feeling there was a Valhalla effect somewhere in there!
Damn it, I want a tutorial on getting this sound...
Nicky Hendriks Logic Pro effects are doing a lot of the magic here. You can achieve this with effects pedals too
amazing work... great to hear ambient drones done on a mono synth 😄
could you share the patch or make a sound design video?? amazing!

this... this is my goal. So amazing!
I’m glad you decided to keep this tiny beast!!! It makes soundscape others simply cannot!!! It’s tones are unreal!!!
I cant get my monologue to make any of these drones/ambient sounds 😢

Bratislav Metulski Good work copy pasting your comment everywhere.

youre not using external fx or anything?
The signal chain is in the description. I believe he’s using pedals but they might be plugins. I’m not familiar with the names
