K Project was really ahead of its time when it comes to battle animations. Going back and watching this scene still leaves me in awe with just how damn smooth it is. And the music fits perfectely.

Even though the series is long dead by now (RIP) you have no idea how much that statement rings true. If you think it's normal now, knowing there's two Kings going at it, wait until the other 5 (6?) show up. 'K' is so aesthetically pleasing because with an interesting plot & story unlike most anime is exactly why I love it. Because bruh, you can tell just from this opening fight scene, the visuals are OUT OF THIS WORLD & the amount of detail they put along with the music is so 👌. Like I don't get how this anime is so underrated.

8 years and K was still ahead of its time. This is one of the best openings iv ever seen in an Anime. From the gorgeous art work to the incredible music. I was so disappointed when it ended but i was glad they didnt try to milk the hell out of the story ruining it. I put the K OST on sometimes when im doing work the music is just so good.

I watched K roughly a year ago at this point, the OST and the animation of some of the battles lives rent free in my head. Easily one of most slept on animes 🔥
Every time I watch K, it never truly feels like HOMRA and Scepter 4 are ever really at odds with each other. Yeah, they’re working against each other yet it mostly comes down to methodology. Case and point, they’re patiently waiting for Reisi to show up, and despite the back and forth banter, none of them ever seem truly intent on killing each other despite every chance to. I know that’s kinda the point, but when you apply that to the show itself, you start to see it more and more. Homra and Scepter 4 aren’t enemies, their methods simply clash. When hunting down Shiro, Scepter 4 wants to bring him into custody, Homra wants him to be burned on the spot. Throughout that conflict, we see them fight yet it’s never malicious against each other, merely an understanding that they can’t be allowed to go unchecked without causing even worse problems. Mikoto proved that when he willingly accepted the sword through his chest after zeroing Shiro-he had a goal he aimed to complete, once it was done, he let Reisi solve the incoming conundrum because he had total faith in his fellow king. It’s not even like Homra were hunting Reisi, either! They all understood that it was assisted suicide because Mikoto’s Sword of Damocles was about to cause massive problems for everyone, and they accepted it. They’d been hunting Shiro because, far as they could tell, he killed Tatara in cold blood. While I’m definitely treading water, it’s simply a detail I love about K more than its animation (which is altogether ahead of its time): the factions never feel malicious towards each other, merely operating under different methods, which pushes everyone to try and understand the other clans’ mentality so as to help without hurting anyone else. Homra’s kept in check by Scepter 4, not because they *need* to be, but simply because their methods are wildly emotional and a lil delaying the inevitable never hurts when it comes to getting a read on what the fuck’s happening. When Shiro realized how bad things were getting, being clued in on how much this meant to everyone, he understood and took the L with full knowledge that it’d work out because he understood his fellow kings and the clans thereof. Tis beautiful, no?
This is probably one of my favorite openings to in anime in a long time , it's a lot on the first couple of minutes but if you're a real fan you'll understand how loving this scene is because it's like they hate each other but like toskua says its like dancing and having a convo it's actually quite beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ or maybe they're just fighting lol but I'd like to think it's more 😁
