Because she is a food scientist, she can describe very well and her explanations on some food becoming sweet things are incredible. In other hand, Emmy is not that bad for making this, including making chocolate bar (through science that she's got).

Essentially all you’re doing is stamping tiny divots in the chocolate, but because the size of the divots are roughly the same size as a wavelength of visible light they interfere with them causing a rainbow

When you realise how ripped off you're in your country, because $1800-$2000+ is normal to cheap for a mattress....We would easy pay around $5000-$8000++++ for a specialised mattress.
Urgh once again the world seems more affordable haha
@Bad Kitty 369 That's crazy cheap! We pay that for just the top part of the mattress. The under mattress (the actual mattress) carries the biggest cost. Then the bedframe cost needs to be added to all that, and then pillows, and then bedding.
Normal price for cheap bedding here is generally about $45-$65 , but if you want a little nicer stuff it's about $125 and way upwards. It's ridiculous.
You can of course get lucky and find cheaper stuff, but you have to really look hard.
@@ts4686 I used to regularly sell $100+ pillows. I bought a few on sale and you know what? Worth it actually. I've never felt comfortable on the cheap pillows they sell at like kohl's.

It's just that most people and families can't afford those steep prices. One day I'd like to invest in really qood quality mattress and pillows. I've already got great duvets, but I know the first time I will sleep on a good mattress with proper supportive pillows, ill get shock and wonder how I ever slept without them haha

If you add edible glitter or lots of color dye in the chocolate then yes. Granted with the dye it may turn her poop into a blue green shade.

Since the effect is created when the chocolates goes down into the ridges, I wonder if you would get a better result if you sort of scrape the chocolate deep into the paper first, then add a thick layer on top. Maybe do a second try with white chocolate?! That would be so pretty :D

I'd just try frosting the cake per usual (with a lighter colored frosting?) and then taking broken pieces of the previously made holo chocolate and affixing it to the iced cake then.

The fact that Emmy didn’t remove the plastic strip wrap around her sous vide is so funny because most Asians (such as myself) also don’t remove plastic wrappings around some of our appliances to make sure it “looks new” or “stays new”. But, she also could’ve just forgotten too. Lol
As someone who sat on decades old sofas wrapped in plastic growing up in the Philippines this gave me a good laugh.🤣

"Sous vide", in French, means that the air has been vacuumed out of something (here, the bag where she put the chocolate). It doesn't have to do with the machine but the technique of cooking with an air tight bag.
Oh god. Just yesterday I was filling out a self referral form for beginning an autism diagnosis.
One thing I put down is that I have some specific adverse sensory reactions. One of the worst is..... LENTICULAR PLASTIC.
The second that sound was made on that plastic, I had all of the reactions. Thanks for reminding me exactly how ridiculous I am, and confirming that in fact, I hate that sound so bad that I would knock someone out.

You can use compound chocolate like candy melts
I suspect it’s a tempering issue. Properly tempered chocolate is glossy, but the areas that didn’t get the effect were matte. I suspect the effect requires the glossyness of properly tempered chocolate to hold its structure. The ridges are really tiny, so the texture has to be just right. Tempering is difficult to get exact!
Sooooo, I love this vid. So cute and helpful for ppl who are learning. Lil tip tho: if you are tempering chocolate you shouldn’t use the fridge to set it due to the moisture. If your freezer is dry, that is the best way (least amount of room for error) to set it if your room is too warm. Leaving chocolate in the fridge too long can cause bloom
