Love how much you love your plants! It's so fulfilling to watch someone who has the same passion! It's validating too. Sending you lots of love, sweet girl!
I'm proud of you for sharing your experience and recognizing when you need to take a break. Mental health is something that should be taken seriously. You leading by example is something I admire so much. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing all sides of you. Loved this video!
What a nice big window. You’ve got your plants lined up against the sill like I do. That’s my living room window like I do. I can’t close the shades down either.
I won’t be the first person to say this but prioritize yourself over creating content! It brings me joy to hear you’re feeling better than before. Also, before you toss your variegated hoya compacta give it a tiny chop. In my experience hoya go crazy after a trim but of course everyone is different ☺️
Oh chicky know you seriously never alone and your thought of often ❤ I’ve been unwell lately and today I turned on TH-cam and really didn’t want to see anyone then I seen my trusty girl uploaded and you got me up and going so know you changed my day today 🎉 give dear little Olive lots of belly rubs and Xo my goodness she is precious ❤ the plants are looking lovely girl keep up the green thumb !
I suggest trying putting some worm castings in your variegated Hoya compacta. Mine wasn’t growing at all and once I put that in, it took OFF. So try sprinkling about a teaspoon in and see if that helps! It’s done so much for all of my plants. I’ve used worm castings in every plant I have, besides plants that like more acidic soil I’ll use coffee grounds.
I was watching one of Becca's videos when you posted this and no shade to Becca at all,,, I love her so much,,, But when I saw that you posted a video, I had to click. Fern is always priority 💕
Love the energy and love, you give to your plants x Would you please guide on substrate you use for carnivores plants especially that fungus gnat catcher one you have. Mine seems to be not doing much since a year.
Just wanted to tell you, I love you and your my favorite youtuber! Your amazing Fern, beautiful on the inside and out!! Thank you for being such a wonderful influence on my plant journey. I just started collecting plants the beginning of this year and I have learned so much from your videos. I love bringing home a new plant and being able to come home and watch one of your videos on the care or advice. It’s soooo helpful being able to go back to your videos for help!! Can you please do a updated nutrient water video and show us how you fertilize all of your plants. I just started using “great white mycorrhizae”, I’ve heard great things about it. Anyways love you boo!!!!
your varigated Adansoni's new leaves changed my mind about this plant😍😍and moved it from my dislike list to my wishlist. the varigated Adansoni I have seen here, all had just yellow varigations and also browned leaves so they looked like sick plants not beautiful varigated ones. but yours is so gorgeous
I hope the nano tape works! If it doesn't, you can try the large 3M Command Strips. The amount of weight each strip can handle is written on the packaging, so you can estimate how many strips you'll need based on that. We use them to hang wooden frames, acrylic easles, mirrors and metal sheets (magnetic boards) in our toddler and preschool classrooms. If those strips can handle kids, I'm sure they can handle a grow light!
Ooh your plants are looking so good!! What if you try chopping your compacta? Maybe that will activate some growth points? Good to see you in better spirits girl 💙🌱☀️
Okay, love you and I fully understand your struggle with the Hoya compacta variegata but it’s gonna hurt my soul if you chuck it 😭😭😭 Hoya compacta are my fav!
Omgggg don’t cave on the Hoya compacta yet! And if you do send it to me😂😂😂 so happy to see you feeling a bit better. I hope you’re doing as good on the inside as you seem on the outside! You da best!!!
As usual loved your video. Where did you get the black corner shelf and the black shelf in your Milsbo cabinet? Love them. I have a Milsbo with shelves but love the black.
Do you know if you let the hoya trailing it will activate a difrent grow point and it will form another plant and is true i did it with my polynera albo and now she growing a diferen plant next to the old cutting :)
I'm glad that you are doing better now. Loving your plants and loving hoya chicken farm and I got her now and sarawak, finlaysonii. I still need to find me a polyneura, H. Jennifer, cumminghian, callistophylla, Suleswesiana. Ect ect. You take care of yourself dear and when you're down and out reach out to someone.
About the LECA situation… me too! I find it’s a great medium for rotting roots - favourite flavour seems to be anthurium ;-). I have only my Philo patriciae still growing in LECA. Aroid mix for everyone else. Your Monstera dubia is totally solid. I hope to someday be able to grow a - Ta l l - plank of shingles and eventually get a few mature-form leaves (illuminated elevator shaft required?) As always, love your videos. We’re grateful for everything you offer.
fern!!! i’m pretty sure your epipremnum no id is a juvenile epipremnum skeleton key! 💖 looks just like it. they look so crazy and cool as they begin to fenestrate and mature
I have that same no name plant. It was sent to me by hirts garden when I ordered a cebu blue pothos. It arrived as a single vine that was 3 feet long. Not sure what to do with it. It’s 4-5’ long now.
Hey Fern!! Since you are a philodendron queen and Philodendron Pink Princesses are hitting Canadian big box stores, could you try to get your hands on one and do a care/growth video? Since I've been watching you, you've given me philodendron fever 💕
maybe you should move your billietiae on your coffee table so it has room to spread out with little obstruction and move your dragon scale somewhere else, since it does well in relatively low light where it is!! i love your videos so much and i can't wait for the upcoming one!
I don’t know too much about plants but I think your “ NO ID “ plant is an Epipremnum pinnatum Skeleton Key (young plant). Which gets the fenestrations. May want to do some research but it may be that! 😉 Either way, super cool collection!
Hope you continue to feel better! Yeah I only have few plants purely in leca now... an alocasia micholitziana, a strelitzia, asparagus fern and a ficus benjamini.... Some plants I find just hated leca and it's probably sth to do with the pH (too lazy to measure it lol) all my scindapsus in leca all gave up on living hahahaha the cuttings I would put in there also never rooted. I just moved everything to a custom pon mix with vermiculite to work as a pH buffer. I love my plants, but I am not testing the pH of over 100 of them and buying pH up and down etc... I have everything set up so they take care of themselves with very little maintenance due to my schedule 🤷♂️ Your plants are looking absolutely amazing btw! That obliqua and majestic are just 🔥prestine🔥 and that painted lady... oof, it's always amazing for our mental health to see thriving plants hahaha Thx again for the awesome video and stay healthy 😎💪🏻
I get them in person at a plant shop called Garden Works! Not sure where youre located but North shore tropicals also sells them on their website. And I think crystal star nursery does too... repotme.com also has a ton and cool colours - they are a US website. Hope that helps!
I’m a beginner living in the southwest US. I love your videos. I watched all the older videos. It’s nice to see you happier and pretty. 😄 i am interested in knowing what you did with the old self watering pots. I’m doing a collection of sansiviera that live mostly on my screened patio fall through Spring since summer I’d 110° a lot. I also have other heat adapted succulent that are well established on my outside south facing porch. Inside I’m concerned about humidity. I’d like to get other plants but can’t get too humid in the house because of needing not so much humidity wirh air conditioning. Most of my indoor succulents are in front of a north facing sliding door and east facing kitchen window. Any suggestions on any other plants except succulents for a bit dryer environment indoors?
I have the same issue with my variegated hoya compacta! I've had it for almost 2 months now and no new growth. Still a beautiful plant, just very tedious
@@wildfern 😱 it’s so little I don’t know if I should take it out of the cabinet or not the leaves definitely got brown but I don’t know if that’s just from shipping or not! I’m torn 😂 my cabinet sits at like 75-83% more the higher end but I just took a few big ones out so it might start a little on the lower end now.
Fran, HELP! How do you maintain and keep track of all of your plants' care? I'm new to this and only have about 50 plants and can not keep up with the different soil needs and watering. It isn't so much knowing who needs what, but with depression, I can't keep up, but I can't give up my collection. Adding to it is what makes me happy. Any ideas?
Side bar: i ordered a villosa and it came okay and i have it in coco husk and moss and perlite and it soooo happy. It lives in my 60%-80% milsbo and even gave me a couple shingle sized leaves without something to shingle on… try again Fern!!!
It survived when everything died in my great depression too… not a brag but i killed one before this one and it just seems to like me now 🤷♂️ try a better established one and dont cut it?
Yayy yes boo i love fall i get more depress in summer wish is crazy and my terapist told me lots of people get depress in winter but im backawards i love fall and snow cant wait 💚💚💚💚
Nice to see you're feeling better 😊 I'm glad your variegated adansonii is enjoying life outside of the cabinet! It's looking great 👍💚 I just got philodendron majestic today! And it's all your fault haha no regrets though 😂🌱

Thank you for sharing your plants with us. You’re so open and honest with us. Hope you keep feeling better.
I recommend you chop the obliqa runner so you can encourage more leave growth and then prob the runner for more baby plants! 👸🏼👍🏽🙏🏼🪴
I’m so hyped for this video
Oh boyyy - that's a big move! You've got this though 🙌🌿 thank you so much for watching + I'm wishing you all the best on your move!
@@wildfern thank you so much!! 🖤🖤🖤
I’m moving soon from Savannah Georgia to Seattle Washington and going to be moving my plants (about 90ish plants). Best of luck to your move!!!!

Hey! The noID epirmnum might be a epipremnum pinnatum Asian form. I’ve got a couple in my collection that look pretty similar
I loved seeing all your plants and their progress. Thanks Fern for taking your time to give us these wonderful videos. God bless you girl. 🙏💚🌿🪴🌱💚
Your updates are my favorite. It's a calming experience. 😊
I kept my variegated hoya compacta outside this summer. It wasn't super happy inside but grew like crazy out there. New leaf everyday almost.
The epi nonid... I was sold one as an epi blue as well. Its not a cebu but its somethibg.. darker green and the leaves growing on a plank got huge
With leca I leave water in it for 5 days and then the two days I let the roots dry. Then back to water solution.
i love how much you love your plants and how excited you get when you see new growth 🥹
I wonder why some do better outside of the cabinet? the humidity? very interesting 🤔
My Hoya compacta took so long to start growing but be patient it’s so worth it 😍
