Sepultura y Angra los escuchaba en casette a los 11, 12 años...de grande aprendi que son de Brasil, pense que eran nordicos o yanquis...la puta madre...hay buenos acentos y foneticas en latinoamerica, pero creo que hasta ahora, para mi, Brasil tiene un rock en ingles magnifico como ningun otro de latinoamerica...que buena banda!

Se existiu uma Banda de Rock no Brasil, em tôdos os tempos, com certeza se chamava ANGRA, a qualidade dos músicos, em especial a do vocalista André Matos é surreal! No alto dos meus 71 anos nunca ví nada igual! E a música "Time" é transcedental!
Uma das maiores vozes do Rock mundial se foi. Em um país onde o lixo musical reina, ele era uma das poucas referências de boa qualidade no Brasil. Infelizmente nunca teve seu devido valor reconhecido. É uma tristeza ver Anita e Pablo Vittar terem mais sucesso que esse cara.
O reconhecimento no Brasil somente vem para quem é amador e caricato. Profissionais como o André e o Kiko por exemplo só são valorizados por um público minimamente culto, coisa que está sumindo assustadoramente no Brasil.
Contemplador Acho que o Metal nao faz tanto sucesso no Brasil por que o gênero foi taxado como "Musica do capeta". Infelizmente existe pessoas ignorantes que julgam antes de conhecer e nao tem a capacidade de pesquisar sobre tal letra e tirar suas próprias conclusões. I have known about Angra for at least twenty years, but the first time I gave their music a listen was two months ago on the day it was announced that Andre Matos had passed away. Two months later I have every studio album and live album they have done. I love all of them, especially Angel's Cry,Holy Land, Fireworks, Rebirth, Rebirth World Tour Live In Sao Paulo, Temple Of Shadows, and Angel's Cry 20th Anniversary Tour. I love all three lead singers that Angra has had, but Andre Matos is easily my favorite. He had a PHENOMENAL voice and was an amazing songwriter, musician, and Composer. I also love his other band Shaman and got their live album RituAlive and it is a MASTERPIECE. I wish that I gave Angra a chance a long, long time ago because I have become a huge of theirs big time these past two months. May Andre Matos Rest In Peace
Me perdoem os fãs que preferem a fase Edu ou até mesmo a do Lione (respeito e aprecio cada uma dessas fases à minha maneira, sem com isso desrespeitá-los), mas na fase do Angra com o André Matos é uma verdadeira avalanche de ótimas composições (sem deixar de mencionar que nesse período, ter numa banda de heavy metal um vocal "afeminado" era um diferencial e tanto!), atmosferas e criatividade!
São as influencias do som 80/90. Se for ouvir albuns de 90-94, vai achar muita coisa que cai no mesmo estilo e gosto. Me lembra 'Take The Time', que é do ano anterior em termos de sonoridade.
André et angra ont imposé leur style jusque dans ma petite ville en France . Grand respect ! J’ai commencé la zic un peu grâce à eux! D’ailleurs kiko a signé ma première guitare.

Houve uma época que eu escuta esse album todos os dias antes de ir pra escola na infância, gravado em fita k7 passava o dia com as músicas na cabeça, depois ganhei um cd do meu tio só alegria, pura nostalgia essa música. Angra amor desde criança.

Andre marcou geraçoes dos amantes do rock, tinha um agudo, uma oitava como nenhum outro cantor, a banda Angra tem que agradeceer a muito o que Andre fez para a banda, se Abgra é conhecida nacionalmentee ee mundialmente foii atravez de sua voz....Marcou uma parte da minha vida minha adoleceencia de rockeiro, hoje me encontro aos 34 anos e quando ouço as musicas do Angra das antigas me bate uma saudade.

He wrote most of their music on their first couple albums. Was an educated composer, and played piano as well. Wrote all their lyrics, arranged and wrote almost every note of their early work. He was a genius.

Isso sim fez sucesso internacional, Angra e Sepultura com talento musical conseguiram levar o nome do nosso país para longe. Diferente de Anitta, que fez várias músicas cantando em inglês e espanhol, mas nenhuma música que chegou a impactar o mercado. E fazer participações com outros artistas no caso dela é mais lance de gravadora do que do próprio artista.

I have known about Angra for at least twenty years, but the first time I gave their music a listen was two months ago on the day it was announced that Andre Matos had passed away. Two months later I have every studio album and live album they have done. I love all of them, especially Angel's Cry,Holy Land, Fireworks, Rebirth, Rebirth World Tour Live In Sao Paulo, Temple Of Shadows, and Angel's Cry 20th Anniversary Tour. I love all three lead singers that Angra has had, but Andre Matos is easily my favorite. He had a PHENOMENAL voice and was an amazing songwriter, musician, and Composer. I also love his other band Shaman and got their live album RituAlive and it is a MASTERPIECE. I wish that I gave Angra a chance a long, long time ago because I have become a huge of theirs big time these past two months. May Andre Matos Rest In Peace
Me perdoem os fãs que preferem a fase Edu ou até mesmo a do Lione (respeito e aprecio cada uma dessas fases à minha maneira, sem com isso desrespeitá-los), mas na fase do Angra com o André Matos é uma verdadeira avalanche de ótimas composições (sem deixar de mencionar que nesse período, ter numa banda de heavy metal um vocal "afeminado" era um diferencial e tanto!), atmosferas e criatividade!
São as influencias do som 80/90. Se for ouvir albuns de 90-94, vai achar muita coisa que cai no mesmo estilo e gosto. Me lembra 'Take The Time', que é do ano anterior em termos de sonoridade.
E como eram boas as músicas com essas influências.
Vey eu particularmente gosto da banda Angra não importa a formação, se bem q o Lione prefiro ele no Rhapsody outra banda q gosto muito
Curto vocais assim, que nem dragonforce, skid row, e até mesmo o plant do zeppellin tinha essa pegada bem aguda, acho muito louco!
Difícil escolher entre estes três. Mas, realmente, o André está num patamar acima.

2:15-2:20 I love this song for so many reasons, but I adore how they tease a line of the bridge here before abruptly shifting back to another verse. Makes it hit that much harder when the full bridge leads into the chorus. Songwriting excellence from their first album! Hail Angra! RIP Andrea!

Houve uma época que eu escuta esse album todos os dias antes de ir pra escola na infância, gravado em fita k7 passava o dia com as músicas na cabeça, depois ganhei um cd do meu tio só alegria, pura nostalgia essa música. Angra amor desde criança.
Lee MottaS aconteceu parecido cmg. Deixei um depoimento desse tipo na entrevista do Angra em 97 que postaram aqui no TH-cam. Não detalhei no caso a parte do colégio, mas tal qual vc, eu escutava sempre antes de ir para a escola e passava o dia inteiro c as músicas na cabeça tbm...hahah

Haha Tb passei por isso. O legal da k7 é que meio q forçava a gente a ouvir o álbum todo. Sei todas as músicas do Angels cry, pra mim, o melhor disco de heavy metal das américas.

Andre marcou geraçoes dos amantes do rock, tinha um agudo, uma oitava como nenhum outro cantor, a banda Angra tem que agradeceer a muito o que Andre fez para a banda, se Abgra é conhecida nacionalmentee ee mundialmente foii atravez de sua voz....Marcou uma parte da minha vida minha adoleceencia de rockeiro, hoje me encontro aos 34 anos e quando ouço as musicas do Angra das antigas me bate uma saudade.

He wrote most of their music on their first couple albums. Was an educated composer, and played piano as well. Wrote all their lyrics, arranged and wrote almost every note of their early work. He was a genius.

Isso sim fez sucesso internacional, Angra e Sepultura com talento musical conseguiram levar o nome do nosso país para longe. Diferente de Anitta, que fez várias músicas cantando em inglês e espanhol, mas nenhuma música que chegou a impactar o mercado. E fazer participações com outros artistas no caso dela é mais lance de gravadora do que do próprio artista.
