- The year 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the original release of the iconic Hornet off-road buggy! To celebrate the milestone, Tamiya’s designers have cooked up a fun variant that is sure to please new hobbyists and veteran hobbyists alike!
• 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit.
• The 0.7mm thick polycarbonate body has the same shape as the classic body from the original Hornet.
• The 2WD chassis has the same bathtub frame as the one used in the original Hornet. (Item 58336)
• While the color scheme of the original Hornet is carried over, this kit features an updated sticker design.
• Includes 540 Brushed motor and ESC.
• Required to complete: 2-channel radio, steering servo, 7.2-7.4volt battery with compatible charger, and Tamiya PS paints.
New EVO Features!
• Suspension: 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension.
• Rear gearbox: Sealed gearbox with differential gear from the DT-02 chassis.
• Includes full ball bearings!

I got the first one as a gift 40 years ago when I was 7. I'll see if I can convince my dad to buy me this one as well!
This is a must-have. My original Hornet is a shelf queen. This one will get enjoyed.
My first RC buggy. 40 years later, I'm still running Tamiya cars in the street.
I'm going to have to buy this. After all these years and the iconic slapping Hornet rear axle and now finally Tamiya comes out with this. I don't care if it's not the fastest car on the track or cannot keep up with modern buggies. I just feel kind of strange though because we all needed this 40 years ago. Now I'm an old mid 50s adult and have seen way better off road buggies from Associated and Losi and Schumacher and I could be spending my money on one of these professional racing buggies , but I am a lifetime fan of Tamiya.

I like it, I would have been happy with the ball bearing set. This is unexpected, oil filled Dampers front and rear, Bearings, independent rear suspension with the DT02 Differential.
Definitely want it for my collection.

We know the extreme quality of your products and services, because we in automodeling trust you a lot, in the last 2 years, unfortunately, here in Brazil, we are without your Ps spray product, for exactly 3 years we have not used Ps spray products to , we paint our bubbles . These sprays are extremely scarce in Brazil, which creates discomfort throughout the modeling community, there are numerous modeling stores in Brazil that consume these sprays Ps, however the national representative Tamiya does not import them, generating discomfort and giving up modeling in Brazil, in The consequence of this is the reduction in the consumption of tamiya bubbles, whether internal or external, since these Ps sprays are extremely important to complete the work, and it is worth highlighting that the absence of these sprays , generates other impacts on the consumption of Tamiya products, as mentioned for example, the bubble!
