I don't think Revit makes steel fabrication drawings.

What about inserting a single parts such as plate, vendor parts!?
That’s of cause no problem! We are working in a usual SOLIDWORKS assembly and of cause you can insert other components. If you create a plate using the SolidSteel part template you can use the DXF Export, NC data export etc also for the external part for example and all external parts can also be listed on the BOM.
@@apps4swx I thought that Solidsteel part's codification is important in numbering and consolidation, so we can create a plate using Solidwroks features ?
@@leo198995 Yes! If you use the delivered SolidSteel part template, then you can create a plate using SOLIDWORKS features and this plate will be part of the numbering, will be supported by DXF export and many more.

Please have the solidworks buttons in English..in German it is difficult to follow.

This looks like a waist of time. I think the software designers should learn how to make steel structures. I never seen a 45deg connection in any building. what about a library of clips. what about aligning the brace to 45deg and the bolt through the web. who welds on the flanges like that. know wonder our modern architect have no idea about structural steel construction.

Libraries of clips, alignments and things like that are all available in the software. Here you will find all information about the different functions:

It's not Architects responsibilities to figure out structural steel construction. It's a structural engineers job. You should know the hierarchy of a construction.
