  • Following on from a video of vintage reels I posted in 2017, here are 50 more old reels I’ve enjoyed over the past few years. Maybe you had one of these reels when you were younger, and maybe you still have it. Fishing the traditional way, full of nostalgia. theretroangler.com

I'm still using a Zebco Cardinal 6 that was given to me unused by my Uncle. It was top drawer stuff in the late 60's and early 70's.

Those Mitchell 300's were like Rolls Royce's in comparison to the others. I must dig my one out and give it a cast!!!

Abu Cardinal 54, 55, 57 + Hardy Altex, but I'm sure everyone has their old favourite iconic reels. Perhaps you should do a 100 reels 😃. Nice little video.

Nice collection! But, no Penn?? I'm on Long Island and Penn reels were everywhere. I still use my 70's mini Penn on an Ugly Stick for fresh water. Love the vintage stuff! If it ain't broke.......

I had a sea fishing Penn which I sold a few years ago and you can see here: www.theretroangler.com/reels I still have a Bakelite Penn on display in my shed on an old solid fibreglass rod next to my Jaws poster!

@@theretroangler5494 I saw a the bait caster. We all had those growing up. Very reliable. Like I said I still use my Penn mini for light tackle. It's a mid 1970's. Thanks for replying keep the videos coming. Old guys like me are very interested.

The price of older Penns ( early 70s ) are crazy for decent reels with box & papers

Lots of rear drag reels- don't seem too vintage to me but I'm an older guy. Nice video though.
