I liked when you brought up the “legacy” thing. I wish I could spend an hour interviewing you... I don’t do much social media except family on Facebook and don’t have the best talking ability or personal look after this long dealing with my spine injuries and the medications(that have wrecked my teeth..). I did just move to the west coast though and hope the weather here around Sac-Town might give me a bit of relief.

2 of his discs in his neck are fused. he was once told he cant wrestle again but kept doing it anyway. i think thats why he has the fighting approach he has today
I heard that Yoel doesn't use his wrestling more because he has fused discs in his spine from an injury. His head is almost "fixed". Wrestling might mess it up more.

Regarding Izzy being able to dance before the fight one thing is his mind set but the major factor is his believe in his skill set he knows his skills are so great other fighters have doubt because they don't all have the skills they often rely on heart brains or power they don't all have the whole package

Yoel did a back handspring and then dropped into a bent-knee, partial front split - he didn't backflip into a front split. Back handsprings and backflips aren't hard so much as they have a lot of hype and fear around them from the average person. Everyone in the UFC should be able to do either one with a bit of coaching. They're not as dangerous as people think either, as long as you try to do them correctly.
In the tumbling class where I learned to back handspring and backflip, we had short fat guys, tall guys, people in between - men and women. Almost everyone learned to do these things, including the short-fat and tall guy - which I mention because part of the mythos surrounding backflips is that tall and fat people probably couldn't do them.
So..it's not what you think it is. You're just not familiar with these things - like most people.
Also, someone could maintain a steroid-enhanced physique from a young age to an older age. Yoel has an awesome physique, but not a freaky bodybuilder level physique or anything close to that. I'm not saying that Yoel takes/took anything, but looking roughly similar (maybe better now) over a long period of time, from a relatively young age doesn't preclude it.
Just saying..no need to believe and close your mind based on insufficient data.
This background info does kind of undermine some of the fun of the story..but..well, anyway, I'm glad you post a lot of videos. I watch nearly all of them. {^_^}

LEON EDWARDS gets alot of stick, rightly or wrongly but its true. That guys been inactive alot recently and seems to have little clout with the fans and promotion. BUT throughout this inactivity has constantly been popping up in the media and into fans heads... Must be doing something right
Nobody has the "eyes" for PED's better than the tests LMAO. Though Chael and some are good at it and have some experience, it's just not the same anymore.
I have pretty good eyes for it as well-- wrested almost as long (not nearly as successful) as Cael, was into body building in last teens and twenties (more drugs around me than any wrestling or fighting, ...10 fold), and a diehard MMA fan since UFC 2.
There are some that just don't need much or any PED's but we'll be suspicious. Jones comes to mind-- yeah he probably had some "help" for a short time but what many don't even think about is the harder it looked for him to win as time went by is completely natural.... the competition got exponentially better, everyone got to study somebody the more that somebody wins... it's not that he was previously helped that much if at all. Maybe mentally. Compare Shogun Hua (no disrespect-- great for his time) to Santos, Gustavson, Reyes, DC? Come on. That's showing a murderer's row of badder dudes, not loss of PED's LOL!
Besides... Everyone had a chance to be popped with all the products for simple workout recovery etc... without even knowing. Those with obvious results, I'd say a hell of a lot more likely were enhanced than Jones ever was.
All the other heroes that tested well within the trouble zone, far more than most,, yet many look the other way, so it's political as well.
Yoel, as Chael said... always looked different. Maturity brought on more of that mass than anything, but he's been a specimen as long as us wrestlers can remember. There are others out there as well, that didn't go into MMA.

You forgot to mention the most impressive part; after the backflip and splits he got back to his feet without using his hands. He just squeezed his thighs together. His adductor strength is INSANE!
I saw a video of one of his last fights were he got up without using or pushing off the mat with his hands and I ran the video back about 3-4 times to see what the hell I saw! It was like a Vampire rising from the casket type of thing!

Yeah, your comment gave me back some insights from Masvidal about joel and izi fight,saying ''IF'' joel comes in shape would be tough for izi, and your right the whole problem with joel is his cardio, that's why he takes rounds off , and goes hard on the 3 i believe.. he has to slow his pace so much to not gas out.
Izi ''won'' that fight but he didn't do shit to joel, he was blocking everything izi thrown like if it was a sparring partner using the pads .. joel's defense is very strong, his body is so fucking tanky that he doesnt have to avoid shots (even tho he has some great moment when he is held against the fence) as other fighters ''agility'' built like izi, sugar o'malley .. very talented with the movements and precision but not body able to tolerate the damage.

Adding to what Chael said I found this really interesting quote that shows Israel Adesanya's mindset. Right after his only knockout loss - "I remember bits and pieces leaving the ring with my coach Eugene. I remember being outside, I remember it being warm, and I remember I didn't really talk. To respond to Chael, there is an interview of Yoel in spanish where he says he always wanted to be in boxing but it was forbidden to him by his father for it being too dangerous and was pushed into wrestling instead, his uncle would teach him boxing behind his father's back
The only time I have seen Izzy with a face of total defeat was the look he had when he saw Joel do that back flip and split.

Chael isn't it obvious? He had a neck injury and seared his skull to his neck in surgery. So there for he doesn't stay on the ground for long at all for risk of chokes. Also Yoel cannot be knocked out as clearly seen from the Costa fight when he took a shin to the face and still came foward. He's a juggernaut.

He got knocked out before his neck surgery. Since the surgery, his neck has lost a lot of rotation, which makes it almost impossible to knock him out now because his neck won’t turn, no matter how hard you hit him. He is still taking a massive risk when he gets hit to his head as he can easily cause damage to where the surgery was done but to protect himself he has developed really big muscles around his neck. I kinda know what I’m talking about as I myself have had my neck fused from my skull to c2, which is even less movement in my neck than Yoel has.

I heard a rumor about a neck injury being the reason Yoel can't wrestle anymore, which makes sense to me because I see no other reason an Olympic Medal Wrestler just never uses his wrestling.
The problem is he either needs the endurance to be able to ground and pound is opponents after the takedown or have the bjj skills to submit them. Yoel probably has neither. It's the same thing for Justin Gaethje. Mma dive did a good video on this topic.
It is so obvious he has endurance issues. To makr believe that "he could just use wrestling and wins titles" but chooses not to is stupid. He can't for some reason
I dont think with that muscle mass, at his age, that he has the cardio for sustained grappling exchanges, or at the very least he doesnt want to risk fatigue leaving him unable to use his explosive strikes

I love the way you tell stories, it’s the way you break things down and split them up in to sections. It was 10x better than the way joe goes about it. I am Cuban and I saw a lot of people in Cuba with the Joel Romero type of body(even females from the Olympic Team). In my time we didn't even know what steroids were. My uncle is like 60, and he is like a f... T-62 Tank , comes from a wrestling background also.

Think he also gasses fast while wrestling because wrestling is an extremely explosive and fast paced sport where they have to keep it up for a short period of time instead of 5 minutes
The thing is he could really improve his striking by just going for some takedowns.
If his opponent is worried about they will drop their hands he can send those bombs, if they dont then he can take them down, get back up and win rounds. This is the gameplan for Khabib and it worked so fucking well, it boggles my mind how someone who supposedly has that skillset does not use it.
