I had forgotten just how good Ryudo's VA was in this game. Melfice was amazing as well. It's been years...can't believe how much has changed since I first played this game; but I'm amazed that my nostalgia seems to be warranted. The game appears to be as good as I remembered it.

This game was such an epic masterpiece for its time. I remember back when I was 13 years old playing this game how gripped I was at the story behind Ryudo and Melfice. I may have to bust out the PS2 again just to beat this game again.
I had to listen to the scene before the final fight so often because I always lost (because I didn't know how to use SC and MC at that time^^") and now I know that part by heartXD I always speak with the charactersXd I love that scene^o^
I think Melfice's laugh is quite alright and not annoying at all, actually. It's just one of those charms. A design choice. The music, sound and voice acting are top notch. If there's any series I can say without any hesitation is one of, if not my favorite. It'd be the Grandia series. Noriyuki Iwadare is by far one of the best composers there is and the voice acting, well, it too is some of the best. If anyone wants to get into voice acting, this is a prime example of pure quality.
the game will be 3d and we are making a armour which looks like melfice's armor too and the best of all once we are done we will be more than happy to share the game with you guys for free however it will take us some time to finish the whole thing since we need to think of new settings, characters, musics etc (dont no about voice acting though)
I just dont understand something. At 4:30 why not drop the impact bomb on the incomming attack on melfice body to cancle it. At 5:03 the same with Maregs Beastfang cut or defend the attack from melfice sword. T_T why
Grandia 2 had a huge impact in my life, it got into RPG's and is one of my all time favourites, It's in my top 20, my top 15, my top 10, my top 5 hell, it's even in my top 3 games of all time list's. the Story was decent but sure hey, you dont play a game for story (you read a book for that purpose) The Characters were colourful and lovable, the music was amazing and the Gameplay was so unique and revolutionary that im suprised it never big on the field.

this game was super hard for me as a kid i never new wat the blue bar was so i always ran out of combos with the red bar but i still beat it. took me yearsss
You guys i checked on google news and it seems that game arts need a little bit more money in order to start the development of grandia 4, which can mean that if they had enouh money they might make another sequel well we just have to be patient but the best way is we should write a letter to game art too :)
this was the first jrpg that i liked and it introduced me to the genre, pretty much. it's still my favorite to this day. and heck i could never find a turn based combat system this good ever again. funny, thing, my second favorite jrpg is mario RPG, and it was the second game in the genre i played. third was ff7 but i don't really hold that one with nearly as much regard.
character development ;) though ryudo is still one of the most manliest jrpg main protaganist ever, even if this scene comes across a little cheesy, he's well aware that power corrupts and that sadism is flat out wrong and he tries to convey this to his brother, the guy who he grew up with, even the manliest of men would get emotional over it, heck even dante cry's when vergil dies.
Well, healing was something I got everybody advanced on, so that was never a problem for me. Melfice was just so damn fast and Millenia during her freak outs matched, probably surpassed that speed.
