It is one of my favourite too! Specially with the RR engines. In 2008 it was the plane I flew the most, over 40 times. What a great year ❤️ So always good to be back on one!

Great video, Alex. That seems more than Flaps 1 for take-off. I love the howling of the A 330 engines. The GE90 on the B777 does not do that. Just surprised that there were no A380s visible at any of the airports.
Flaps 1+F, quite certain there. No need for flaps 2 with such a load, the plane would lift off at 120kts 😂 The howling is the best! KL gets the EK A380 but only at night, and at HKG there are more but not at the time that I arrived. Well observed!
28:46, That's my plane that I flew last June from Ho Chi Minh to Shanghai, connecting to London and the 1st flight is not good, the seatbelt is on for the whole flight, but some passengers, including me, use the lavatory, even though there is no turbulence. The 2nd flight is okay, 11 and a half hours, but the cabin is hot because there is no air vent.

24:26 Responding to the avgeek challenge: engines equipped on CX’s 333s are RR700 series engines, but the engines on the screen seems to be PW4000 engines.
Now that's what I call a relaxing video made even more so by having 20 pax only. Cathy could have cancelled or consolidated or even downgraded to a A321. I am no expert on that. The lounges at KLIA look so good especially the food servings. Too bad about Anthony Bourdain not here amongst us anymore.RIP Great video. You really do take us on the journey
I think the flight has now been downgauged to an A321neo since then. And probably the inbound flight was full thus the flight is maintained. The purser told me this flight is usually not full. And yes, bless Tony. I was sure I would meet him at some point but I didn’t manage. Luckily I’ve been to many restaurants he has been to so it’s close! Thanks for writing 😉
Fantastic video! Its very surprising that MH still operates a First Class lounge even though they dont provide first class service (the cabin in the a350s is marketed as Business Suites). I think the mistake is that the aircraft in the map features does not feature RR engines in contrary to the real aircraft. Keep producing great videos like this! What are we getting for the next video?
Correct about the engines! And I have my suspicions why there still is a First Class lounge in KL despite them not featuring First Class.. But hey, can’t complain! It makes my day more fun! I’ve been attending the Australian Open for the past 2 weeks and experienced a cool flight in EK Business to Melbourne, so I wanted to show that before it’s too outdated. After that I’ll post Qantas A380.

Thanks a lot for the very kind words Vince! So glad to read them today. I just film with an iPhone 13 Pro Max and edit with a free editor called VN. The recline was perfect, it’s just a rumor online. I never had a single issue with less recline. It’s in fact better as nobody is seated behind you! The lavatories can be bothersome but I’ve got noise canceling headphones so I don’t focus much on that. Happy flying!
Nice trip, like the last time i was in Dubai. On the flight home to Sweden with Emirates we were like 80 passengers and was treated like kings and queens.
12:45 They don't check the brakes. It's a comon noise at all ( ! ) A 330's. It's the hydrolic pump that releases the brakes for the aircraft to roll. Same noise when the pilots step on the brake pedals. No checking.....
I’m 101% certain that the brakes are checked by all Airbus pilots as soon as they start taxiing. I’m in fact right next to an A380 F/O, former A319/320/321 pilot who confirms this as I am typing. She says the brakes are checked as soon as they start rolling and this has been SOP in both the airlines she worked at.

At 5:12 on the video, the pilot lowers the nose attitude of the aircraft a bit on climb out to try to maintain a certain altitude given by the tower controller or departure control
Not sure how you get 102 flights per hour, as the arrival rate for the north runway at maximum is 34, and depature rate is roughtly at max 32-36 pending the sequence and wake turbulece of the aircrafts Other than that nice report
Qantas will come out in the next 2 weeks. It takes a loooot of time to edit! And again, I can’t only take long flights.. I fly for work and have a family so it is what it is!

This is what happens when they treat the pilots and cabin crew like trash during COVID. Many staff are gone to other airlines and many flights had to be canceled, thus Hong Kong passengers flocked to other airlines for travel with more stable departures.
You love to know the fares! I can’t really remember.. But it’s not cheap. If you buy the cheapest fare you don’t get miles so I have to pay a bit more. It might have been ballpark $400 US

I can see that MH133 is operated by an A330-300 on many of the dates! It’s mixed with A330-200.
