I had the 17 Ram in NY during the blizzard of 18 we had 16” and the truck was a savage! Went through everything I was so impressed with how savage it was
Used to have an '04 F250 gasser with Duratrac's on it. Damn near unstoppable in the snow. Great fun to drive. The tires made all the difference. The ground clearance helped too.
I am jealous. where I am we barely got any snow the last few years and the entire time I had my '04 Hemi Durango 4x4 I never got to play. now I have had my '19 Ram 1500 CLASSIC Quad cab 5.7L 4x4 for 6 months and am hoping for some snow to play in like you are doing in this video. I currently have 10 ply All Terrains on my new wheels but have thought about putting Mud tires on my stock wheels for the winter. any thoughts?
I would steer clear from mud terrains for winter. They might seem like they would get good traction because of the big lugs, but those only come into play in deep powder off-road. Typically you want a taller, skinnier tire with lots of tread siping that's mountain snowflake rated, or a dedicated snow tire since they are made of softer rubber to contour the road better in the cold and snow. I do have a video about winter tire buying guide if you're interested. I run the Goodyear Wranger Duratrac because it's an all terrain with the mountain snowflake badge and also does pretty good in mud. The BFG Atll-terrain TA KO2 is another good choice. Otherwise like I said, a dedicated winter tire. The silver Dakota in this video was also running Duratracs.
I can tell you are in an area where snow is not common. Your 4x4 with mud or all terrains will still not be as good in the snow as your moms civic would be with dedicated winter tires. If you really want to play in the snow you should get a second set of tires for your truck.
😳 Bruh!!! First you got the Parkway Drive intro, then you're playing Light The Torch 🙌🏾😭🙏🏾. As soon as I heard Howard's voice I thought it was Killswitch Engage 😎. You and I should totally be neighbors 😂. Ram hemi trucks + metal goes the best together = Hemi metal 💪🏾
@@TonyTheTruckGuy For sure bro. I grew up a rocker and will always be a rocker since the late 90's early 2000's. From stuff I grew up with, bands like Incubus, godsmack, disturbed, Linkin Park, chevelle, Trust Company etc, etc, and so many more memorable from back then growing up. It's still all I listen to still today. I got saved after high school and eventually discovered Christian metal and heavier Christian deathcore and deathmetal too afterwards so I listen to that too. Most people can't tell the difference when I'm blasting it from my car though 😂.
@@TonyTheTruckGuyNo doubt. Whenever you get a chance check out this band called Diamond To Dust. They have a song called corpus christi. Listen to breakdown at the end of the song. It's HEAVY like OMG HEAVY 🙌🏾😭😱
Sorry for the late reply, 300+ comments were "being held for review" for some reason. My truck and the Dakota were running Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Can't remember what the Ford was running.
Yeah im laughing at my older sister's 04 exploder even though she doesn't care about four wheeling. Feels nice to own a toy and laugh at those who decided not to buy a truck.
Finally a great video shows RAM’s power in the snow.
agree

"You gotta Ram it!" Lol great video man 🔥
I live in the foothills or Reno and have a 97' "Dakota" and have drifts wave over my hood and have never been stuck.
Love the parkway drive intro
🤘🤘🤘
You have to watch those Ford lovers!
Turn ur traction n ecs off by holding ur traction button for 8 sec when in 4x4 lock hi beautiful result's
Yeah it’s unfortunate that you can’t do that in 2wd haha. Luckily I got the Tazer DT so I can use that to fully turn off stability control
Oh dam lol I TRYIED that in 2wd wouldn't work eaither lmao but 4wheel it's a beast
What tires do you have?
275/60R20 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac
Looked like fun. Not that much snow tho. Seen way worse, you still had lots of place to put it lol

Where are all the videos of the RAM doing work
This could be a testimonial video for Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's
They are a pretty darn good all around tire. I dare say the best.

If you have Winter dubb tires You Will See the different .
What is a dubb tire lol
Ru up there in Alaska I noticed lic plates plus your location looks like east anchorage
Minnesota haha. Close enough in terms of winter climate.
Damn both states almost look alike
@@eric-fz1np Some parts haha
@@TonyTheTruckGuy Tony I know I had some parts right
The explorer has trash tires if it had duratracs it would do a little better
For sure haha
you have the 19 ram but the Dakota sounds better? Dude you gotta fix that!
To be fair, the Dakota was mine before I bought the Ram 😂 I did end up putting a Borla S-type cat back on the Ram. I have 2 videos on that actually.
Was that in Minnesota??????? WooooW
Indeed!
call this the "stuck"video
Where in mn are you? Im in mn
North metro!
Pretty close to Osceola wi then huh. Hell yeah!
Yeah I actually used to live in Forest Lake but ended up moving back closer to the cities for now.
Looks like the old Gander Mt. In Blaine MN. LoL i will have to take my 2018 Power Wagon one of these snow days!
That’s exactly where it was haha

this is too funny because my younger brother has a '06 4.6L exploder 4x4 with crappy new tires that probably would work worse than this guys.
