  • Today it's going to become yellow! Well, at least a little. I'll show you how I created a floral card set using easy stamping techniques and a wild mix of various ideas, techniques, and styles - all harmoniously combined. If you know me, you know the likelihood of an accident happening with such a project is high. And that's exactly what happened today. However, it was a happy accident in the truest sense of the word because it made my cards truly unique. But see for yourself!

What a wonderful blend of so many techniques! That save using the tiny bit of lace is a life saver! I can't tell you how many times I've done that and the frustration that goes along with it. Thank you as always for sharing your projects!

Hi Luise! Wow I so love these cards! Calling them cards seems like the wrong term because they are little works of art really! I was watching Miss Paintalot and she was demonstrating making this card after watching your channel. Hers was gorgeous and so I had to see just how the card was created by the original maker. I had also seen your stunning makes on Tim’s live and my jaw dropped….so so gorgeous! It was so helpful to see the process and how you turned your oops into a more interesting card. You’re so talented and I love watching your projects come to life. I haven’t been able to watch your more recent videos since the move but will be catching up and I hope you’re loving the new apartment and I’m sure you are so happy to have that move behind you….lol. Thanks so much and take care! 🥰

I have the stamp set, Tidbits and the same smudge thing was happening to me. I ended up finally just taking my scissors and cutting the extra rubber away from the stamp. I know it seems like blasphemy to be cutting on a brand new Tim Holtz stamp set, but that extra little smudge that I was getting on my stamped impressions was going to drive me to drink.

    Hey Luise!
I am enjoying watching your vlogs with your voiceovers, as always!
I have some more vocabulary words for you! Consider the words COMPREHENSIVE and CONTEXTUAL.
Also we don't say "too extremely", we would say just "extremely" without "too." You might say "too extreme", but not "too extremely", as "extremely" is an adverb (how it is done), whereas "extreme" is an adjective (what it is like), and so you could say "this color was too extreme."
However I would suggest to try to use other words instead of "extreme". You might consider the words SEVERE or CONTRASTED or DISPROPORTIONATE. You can also just say "this was far too much."
Let's say there is a scale between 1 and 10 where 10 is the highest rating. when you use the word "extreme" that would mean 10 or even above 10! This is how extreme EXTREME can be in terms of describing something, it is the utmost or the most unusual, in terms of its degree. Extreme is beyond intense, beyond measure, really. There are rare instances where this word is used, and if you use it too much it loses its meaning and people will not be able to understand what you mean by rating a color or its application as extreme. So perhaps consider using EXTREME on rare occasions. You might consider words like INTENSE or EXCESSIVE or HARSH, so you could say "I found this color too harsh, and the contrast was too intense for the effect I hoped to accomplish."
Opposing words would be words like, SUBTLE, COHESIVE, BALANCED, UNIFIED, HARMONIOUS, FAINT, or UNDERSTATED.
I hope this is helpful! Tschüse! 🦋
