Wow! The depth achieved is impressive! My art teacher told me to bring a book, sit in the corner and read but my maths tutor explained my spatial awareness needed work. While depth, perspective and other spatial skills do not come naturally I believe I can achieve some great results with this technique. Thank you so much for your clear and precise instructions!
I just have to say that most successful artists were told by their art teachers to forget it. Never let 1 ignorant individual define what you can or can't do. Just because they are a 'professional' doesn't make them anymore than anyone else. With billions of us we all see beauty different. Enjoy it and find people like lou, lou withers and sheene Douglas that are actually good at teaching the techniques. Good luck x
Oh my. This is beautiful. The colored pencils over the "bleached" oxides makes the flowers so elegant. I love the look of color over the white pencil. It adds a unique depth that's just stunning.
Lou, this is such a beautiful card ❤ I love the colored pencils over the distress oxides, I never would have thought of this. Thank you for sharing your talents with all of us.😊
What a stunning card, Lou! I love the effect you get when you remove the colour and your colouring is just beautiful. Thanks, as always, for sharing your clever techniques 😊
Oh my word! This is absolutely stunning!! Beautiful, beyond words!! Thank u for sharing!! I sure hope they do another run on this set! I’m awaiting word! Thanks again from 🇨🇦
Wow! Such amazing and beautiful cards, with incredible results. Like these a lot. Awesome you and Christine Stokes are working together. Even better. Love the birds in the background. 😊 Added bonus. Thank you, Lorraine
This is my first time watching your channel and throughly enjoyed the lesson. I haven't seen this technique. The card is beautiful. Thank you. I will definitely try this one.
Beautiful……. I do appreciate, when you say, just use what you have in your stash. youll Suggest these items, then you always follow it up with, use what you have in your stash……
Beautiful card Lou.. although both Chrissie and yourself used the same colours and die set just how different the end products are using different techniques but both inspirational… thank you x
Absolutely beautiful. Just discovered your channel. You're one of those gems that I stumble upon every now and then. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I look forward to learning all that I can.
Stunning result. Though I liked the glitter card (looked like sizzix opulent cardstock), on those colors I love the high shine of gold mirri. Thank you for sharing!
Such a beautiful die and stamp set. Love the Magnolias and how you used them as seeing them in the packet does not show the full beauty or size of the product. Love all the hints and tips scattered throughout. Thank you Lou. x
Lou, This is a beautiful card! Great idea to use distress oxides and color pencils I'll have to try this method. Thank you for this beautiful presentation.
Lovely card! Really got me motivated and into my craftroom,i thank you.(Sweet with the birds in background) im always interested in bigger dies n stamps etc like these, for 6x6 format.
This is unbelievably gorgeous! I am stunned. Never would have thought of putting aged mahogany with salvaged patina. I wonder if spraying the backside with pixie spray would work. The adhering is always the issue. My hubby said that should be hung on a wall (with no sentiment. ) well you sold me on this die! Wowza.
Absolutely stunning! I love my oxides and use them for many of my cards….but I never would have thought of “washing out” the flower petals with water, then using the Prismacolors. Prismacolors have been my favorites for decades! Such quality! Your library of strips of oxide blends is such a great idea. This is the first time I’ve watched a video by you, but I am subscribing and so looking forward to seeing more! I also like that your video was 20 minutes, instead of fifty-something minutes, like one I watched this morning. I like hearing your thought processes, such as deciding to change to a different color of colored pencil, and seeing why the glitter card stock didn’t work. Glad you left all of those things in, for us to learn even more! TFS!
Lou, you always amaze me with your incredible talent. I just love to watch you bring a piece of white card stock in to absolute beauty.
So beautiful. This has got to be one of the most stunning cards I’ve ever seen. Lou, you’re brilliant and so talented👍🙏❤️
Thanks so much 😊
