Don't get gooey emotional about your failures; don't let them mount you from behind, turn around, grab failure's face, look into its eyes and say "You complete me." Love that failure, copulate with that failure, learn from that failure, then move on because it's not marriage material.
Thank you! Saying Ryan messed up in the movies that flopped is a gross misassessment of what happened, haha The actors are there to act and maybe ad-lib some scenes, but a great actor cannot save a poorly written or directed movie! Take his first Deadpool incarnation, it was totally fine until they sowed his mouth shut! Everyone was annoyed at him, he was literally the "merc with the mouth"... and for whatever godawful reason they thought getting rid of that part of his character was gonna be a good idea?? Not Ryan's fault at all for Green lantern or any of the others, his acting was totally fine, the underlying story and direction were what caused them to flop
Yeh I was gonna say the way he put it in the video made it seem like the movies flopped because of his acting but the script for those movies were terrible and his acting is the only saving grace for most of them.
The thing I admire most about Ryan, besides his incredible humor, is his ability to acknowledge his failures, learn from them, and openly admit his flaws which is something a lot of us can learn from
To be honest compared to the other MCU movies he also did with way less than what they had and achieved more. All about pacing yourself so that you have the time to be able to put in the maximum effort that you want because you're passionate about something which trying to struggle to make release dates won't let you do.
Unfortunately he totally lost it in the 3rd one... It was WAY too much for someone that isn't tryhard fan of MCU. Beside that it was still a great movie, cause Rayan and DP itself are great :)
The best part of his story is that he didn't just hit the jackpot, he worked hard as h*ll to get to that jackpot and stayed consistent and determined regardless of the odds and the failures. Like he says, the old-fashioned way, maximum effort! 💯
Not only is Deadpool a really entertaining film franchise, everyone can learn something from it. Ryan clearly did, and has proven what he learned ever since.
The majority of fans are 13-35 males. These aren’t movies that will go down in History as ‘great ones’ or ‘must sees’. They’re comic books made into movies. Not classics.
I’ve had mint mobile for years now and I’ve had no other company send me a Christmas card EVER not ATT or cricket and every Christmas I get some sort of card with Ryan’s face on it which is hilarious and also very sweet bc they did not have to do that at all no one else does!
The marketing campaign on Dedapool 1 was PERFECT. I love those type of stories, where some small brand (in this case, low-budget superheroe movie) with very passionate people take care of the brand and does very graet ads because they understand the customer, they treat them with dignity (not like stupid people) and in the end you crack a laugh or two. Not only videos, but also graphic campaign was awesome.
I remember seeing an ad for Mint Mobile that explained that they were able to keep prices low because they didn't spend much on marketing. If that claim is true, then I think thats a genius move. Marketing doesn't have to cost millions of dollars, especially in this age where things are sold through word of mouth more then they are sold through big budget TV ads. Also most of his Mint Moble ads were just him standing in front of a green screen with one guest or prop. In a way, that's actually really refreshing.
Imagine if Ryan Didnt leaked those footage😢😢😢😢Sometimes you have to do the right thing even if its illegal and Ryan Reynolds did not disappoint us, Ryan Really wanted Deadpool on the big screen for us 😢😢😢God Bless Ryan and his family, He gave us one of the best superhero movie, deadpool now joins the ranks of Tobey Maguire Spiderman,Robert downey Jr Ironman,Hugh Jackman's Wolverine,Batman Begins...
I think that Ryan was authentic in his love of the character and he had the power to craft the story and portrayal. The difference was that someone just trying to use the material as a cheap character development and advertising hook. I think there are some great adaptation writers out there, but if they over extended artistic licence it can betray the fans who know the material better.
HUGE WIN. HOWEVER, MOST ON SET ACCOUNTS HINTED THAT THE GL DIRECTOR BASICALLY TORTURED RR TO GET THE SHOTS HE WANTED. IT CANNOT HAVE BEEN PLEASANT ENDURING SO MUCH FOR SO LITTLE RETURN.
The main thing About Ryan Reynolds is He doesn't treat us like Idiots, like so many recent woke mcu movies do,they treat the audience like stupid people which is why those movies flopped well most of it,Ryan narrates or speak to us the Truth in his classic sarcastic dark humour Jokes with pop culture references which is why we love watching Ryan Reynolds, breaking the fourth wall so to speak....and right now Ryan Reynolds is just at the peak, like on Fire in his career right now...like everything he touches turns to successful money making machine and he should capitalize hard on this because oneday this buzz or flame will slowly become lesser and lesser which is a sad reality but the truth...But who knows he may change that too... The only thing he should focus on is being himself because we love watching Ryan Reynolds himself and his humour, once he changes he loses that flame...we just love seeing and watching this loud mouth, sarcastic swearing and dark humour Jokes Ryan Reynolds does with hints of truth in it....
14:35 Indeed, in fact I wasn't bothered at all by the small budget for the first deadpool because at the time I was sort of tired of superhero movies trying to be big, I was ready for a small little adventure, but that gave us exactly what we wanted from the genre.
the problem with Hollywood isn't directors, actors or writers. The problem is bean counters and execs that are dead inside. When people bitch about fatigue of a certain genre of movies, they're really talking about stupid execs.
This is why Ryan Reynolds movies works well. Because he's the producer, a writer, and an actor all at once, so he has a say in keeping things on track towards a labor of love, and no executive can make horrible, greedy calls because the producer has the final say
I found that movie way before Deadpool and absolutely love it. My other favorite is The hitman's bodyguard and the hitman's bodyguards wife OMG he is so funny and those movies!!! I watch these movies over and over again as well as Deadpool 1 and 2. Manny many times over and over again! And The Proposal I love that one so much too he makes me laugh so hard! 😂😂😂
he is this generations Jim Carrey but more business savvy. The reason why i compare him to Jim is because Ryans Humor is top tier Canadian humor. Nobody knows this kind of dry humor more than Canadians.
Great job on this video! Not only was this video entertaining and informative, You did a great job in editing and getting your point across. We need to see the opportunity we are given in every failure
Thank you so much for making this video. It reveals Reynolds' obstacles and genius to surmount them! Also, Ryan deserves so much praise for his success and leadership in the Deadpool franchise. Leveraging the TH-cam marketing was innovative. We often see only the success results -- the latest Deadpool film was amazing -- but we rarely reflect on how his path got us here.

New shows and movies are throwing anything cannon away angering the audience/fan base (Looking at you star wars). Is anyone else in Hollywood watching what Ryan is doing?
Ryan’s dedication to Deadpool's canon shows how much Hollywood needs to pay attention to the importance of respecting source material, especially with how often it’s being overlooked in other franchises. 😊 #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
I would definitely love the chance to work with someone like him. He's a very humble man and has more honor than most people in today's world. And the Internet will probably hate me for this but I actually enjoyed the Green Lantern movie even though I never read the comics. Sure, the movie could have been better but it was definitely light-years better than anything I can produce or act in. I definitely give the guy credit. I wonder what meeting him in person would be like though.
Meeting him in person would probably be as impressive as his on-screen presence, he seems like a genuinely remarkable person. 😊 #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
Ryan has always been a great actor, very few bad moments. But those scripts. Man those scripts were rough on those movies that failed. I love that Ryan keeps preserving and striving for better.

I remember watching someone play the Deadpool game, and laughing my ass off at how funny it was. and I'd never heard of him before... so I was very ready for the films when they finally did come out :P
Swear Ryan Reynolds went from van wilder to this , he's come a long long way , and he's a decent person compared to everyone else in Hollywood rn . Love this guy
Just being Genuine is something we Normies respect and love, he doesn't act rich he acts like a Human being! and accepts his faults and mistakes that is why I respect him
The main thing I take from this and what it has always been known in my 40 years+ of watching movies: The fans know what we want. Studio executives have no fkn CLUE what the fans actually want other than what would put money in their greedy executives' pockets. You got a bunch of older bureaucrats running the show and they have absolutely no clue how to write or how to direct movies that entertain and please certain fan bases. And it should be a no-brainer if you already have the SOURCE MATERIAL provided for you: Comic books, Japanese Manga, Novels, and animation. Anyone who has a brain should know that its not rocket science. But the studios are to blame for a lot of failure in movies and TV shows. Take Game of Thrones season 8 for example. True GRRM never finished the damn books, however you see the results when idiots take over an idea they have no clue what they're doing. Ryan imho has saved Marvel in the 2020s decade. We had only TWO movie worth watching After Endgame, thats GOTG 3 and Spider-Man No Way Home. Everything else was terrible piggybacking and lazy writing. Thor 3, Dr. Strange 2, The Marvels, Eternals, and nearly every Disney+ show completely sucked. If not for Deadpool and Wolverine, I honestly lost interest in the MCU. She-Hulk was a feminist agenda fueled disaster. Wanda Vision was weak, Falcon & Winter Soldier, Loki were the only decent shows worth watching. And Secret Invasion was an embarrassment of storytelling. Ryan Reynolds knows exactly what he's doing with his marketing and the Deadpool character. He literally was the only person able to bring the Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine. Let this man cook! And as a side note he is the only person or character who could replace Stan Lee as the Cameo for every single Marvel film from here on out.
Hollywood hates risk, they mitigate it with sequels and spinoffs. On that same token couldn't it be said that Hollywood then also limits the amount of success they might have. Sequels will get fans of the franchise to witness how the story concludes, unlikely you get repeat multiple viewings from said fans. Spinoffs never do as well as the original story. Personally I think Spinoffs serve only to hurt the reputation of the original film Look at the New Ghost Buster movies featured on Netflix as recent examples, I don't know what Hollywood was thinking with Egon's daughter, but the whole thing is just wierd.
I can't remember the name of the little sci-fi movie that came out on Netflix for Ryan Reynolds meets his younger self that little kid mimic Ryan Reynolds perfectly and is fantastic and I love that little sci-fi time traveling movie. So he is on fire and whoever that little kid was that was playing the younger Ryan Reynolds has a bright future ahead of him, there was nobody better to play a Young Ryan Reynolds than him
4:23 Expanding the horizon means why not add value to the MCU & Foxverse casting of Sinister Cavill? 4:46 lets not just make the best R-rated movie but the best Superhero movie that so happens to be very-R-rated too! 4:49 there is no character development of Cavillrine. SinisterCavill on the other hand brings a fan engagement no other franchise as tread. 4:51 I remember seeing Blade in theaters when my father was alive. As wrestling fans Triple H was a vampire, making more sense than him playing a good guy… was Ryan in that one? 4:55 Hannibal King, at the time, was just the mercenary from the TGIF down in FL. if I even remember the characters I consume… which is why 5:03 I dig you trying... Now shoot DP3 the same and alter him from the beginning to the end as SinisterCavill like choose your own adventure. You'd revolutionize streaming and not just fanservice but fan engagement, metacommentary, while driving viewers to Disney+ with the most Sinister of a switcharoo.
There are only a few people left in Hollywood that I consider actual Hollywood Superstars and Ryan Reynolds is definitely in there ride along with Tom Cruise so if either of those actors are in a movie I'm going to show up also same with Keanu Reeves so any movie that has any of those three actors in it I'm their day one
Absolutely, focusing on strong storytelling rather than undermining established characters would make a huge difference. 👏 #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
You can't blame an actor for a film flopping. Writers/directors are the ones most at fault. Yes, green lantern wasn't great, but can't fault Ryan for that. I only own that movie because I honestly feel that having Ryan in it is the sole saving point.
I went to art collage in Wrexham In 1992 it had a nightclub within it called the Cotton club used to run Saturday night there. Its a town over shadowed by its posh English neighbour Chester but the hard working people had a great community
Sounds like you have some great memories from Wrexham! It’s cool to hear about the vibrant community and local spots like the Cotton Club. 💕 #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
Good video, but it kind of distorts the truth at 12:36. The video says at 12:44 "The studio had no choice." Not quite accurate. The studio still could have said no, but the "accidental" release of the short pilot footage showed the executives it possibly could make money as a stand along movie. It is why they made the first Deadpool movie on a shoe string budget of only just over $50 million. It made more than double that in the box office and was a hit. Primarily because Ryan got involved in the script for the first time since the character appeared in any of the movies (Wolverine for example he had nothing to do with it). He is a good screenwriter and he used those skills and humor ability to make a movie that worked, and now made it huge with his skills in the 3rd movie.
I don’t think he learned much from green lantern. Heavily relying on cgi. Can someone explain to me the movie “IF” that story lacked character development and story line.

@@EvanCarmichael I got inspired to write 2 songs, they're on my channel yet I developed kidney failure and now I'm depressed again 😞
Ryan has always been a great actor, very few bad moments.
But those scripts. Man those scripts were rough on those movies that failed.
I love that Ryan keeps preserving and striving for better.

0:02 DP&W featuring DC’s Golden Boy Gone Gothic is a ONCE in a lifetime wait.
0:07
The CONNECTIVE Tissue of Foxverse MCU Phases 2, 3&4 is the DCU’s Superman recast as Sinister in DP&W!
0:11 The Storytelling of DP&W featuring SinisterCavill makes Stryker’s X2 Computer a goldmine of easter eggs 21 years deep in EXCESSIVE Essex Teases worth the property of Marvel & Disney+ budget to see!
0:15 11 years compared to the first Deadpool & Sinister tease in X2 seems shortsided by comparison.
0:17 against all odds, Warner gave up an actual Englishmen to play the Vulgar Victorian…
Sadistic Sherlock & Ungentlemanly expert in unethical eugenics play Sinister in their Raunchy R-Rated Multiverse romp to kick off a Mutant Saga only for Disney to drop the ball in casting the man of steel as the adamantium mutant’s cameo variant.

I remember watching someone play the Deadpool game, and laughing my ass off at how funny it was. and I'd never heard of him before... so I was very ready for the films when they finally did come out :P

I never disliked Ryan. He was one of my favourite actor. I enjoyed every movie he was in. Till now he is 🔥🔥🔥
Totally agree, Ryan’s performances have always been top-notch and he’s still killing it! 💛 #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
Swear Ryan Reynolds went from van wilder to this , he's come a long long way , and he's a decent person compared to everyone else in Hollywood rn . Love this guy

As a happy Mint Mobile customer, you can't beat $15/month, or Reynolds' marketability and marketing strategies.

The main thing I take from this and what it has always been known in my 40 years+ of watching movies:
The fans know what we want.

RIPD was goated and he was born to play Deadpool. Is voice is perfect, he looks like wade, Deadpool said Ryan Reynolds’s should play him

Personalmente! Me gustó Linterna Verde y Wolverine Orígenes así que desde su comienzo me ha parecido que Ryan es un gran actor

@EvanCarmichael just a well done video with great insight on your part.
Thanks for watching Daniel :)
Appreciate you for sharing. #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
This is inspirational

Reynolds might be my hero. He is best Ryan :p Gosling close second though ;D

Let's hope they bring the highlight of this video to the forefront again: Good story telling NOT SHITTING on the cannon of a character.
Absolutely, focusing on strong storytelling rather than undermining established characters would make a huge difference. 👏 #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
I loved RIPD regardless of what people say. It was funny and chill Weekend movie

You can't blame an actor for a film flopping. Writers/directors are the ones most at fault. Yes, green lantern wasn't great, but can't fault Ryan for that. I only own that movie because I honestly feel that having Ryan in it is the sole saving point.

I went to art collage in Wrexham
In 1992 it had a nightclub within it called the Cotton club used to run Saturday night there.

Thanks for the feedback. #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
13:40 It's funny how going R is the ONLY time they seem to worry about alienating the fans. The rest of the time, that seems to be the goal lol.

you could say that deadpool save him , while he also save deadpool. Now they both save peoples from irrelevancy

I don’t think he learned much from green lantern. Heavily relying on cgi.
Can someone explain to me the movie “IF” that story lacked character development and story line.
