Now we can hear you twice as much.
Andrea gallantina no way this is definitely a hard Rock song structure with mostly clean vocals. It's what Stone sour has been doing the whole time. A few of their singles were pretty weak, but this is a fairly standard Stone sour sound across all albums

Stone Sour > Slipknot Damn great pair of songs these! Made me think of Iron maiden rythm, mixed with Metallica vocals/guitars. Only better then Metallica. :) Reminds me of some of the early 90's stuff I love so much. HUGE thumbs up!

+SMTG Slipknot will always be messed up mentally and even the softer songs like Killpop and Snuff have a chilling mood to them that Stone Sour could never create as good as they are. Slipknot is getting softer (naturally with age, you have to slow down) but the music is actually getting better in some ways. Stone Sour has always been heavy (Get Inside, Mission Statement, etc.) but you can tell which band is which. I am loving how both bands are evolving and I can't wait to hear their new albums. I think Corey said the new SS would be more rock 'n' roll-ish in an interview and he said during his recent book tour that the new Slipknot album may be a concept record so i'm excited.

the problem with slipknot is it sounds like a mess a lot of the time with the different members almost competing to see who plays their instrument the fastest. mick is a poor guitarist considering hes in such a big band and members like Sid and Shawn although being talented just make the music a mess of sound which works in some songs but not in others. whereas this band have two great guitarist a great bassist Corey's singing and a quality drummer and it works perfectly

It is a matter of tastes to be sure. I would definitely prefer to listen to an hour of S/S compared to an hour of Slipknot, but, Slipknot takes the speed and dissonance concepts of metal and pushes them to an extreme, in place of melody. S/S has more melody which, personally, I prefer. Rock on.
