Its a breed that has never appealed to me because I feel so bad for them trying to breathe! It just seems like so much effort for them just to exist. Why do people insist on buying unhealthy breeds expecting healthy dogs? If you're so desperate for a flatface you should adopt them from shelters rather than support breeding.
@riohenry6382 definitely! My mixed breed (god knows what 50 breeds she was lol) lived for 18 years and if I didnt get her put to sleep I think she would have went on another 6 months at least however she would have been suffering if I let her go on longer.
there are so many bulldogs who need that pallet flap cut off. it’s a shame. why don’t they just cut the darn thing off as soon as they get old enough. why not breed them back to the way they used to be at least part way? they’d still be cute. poor doggies.
I've heard of some groups trying to breed back longer muzzles for bulldogs and pugs, a few groups trying to breed a larger version of a toy spaniel (I forgot which one) so that they won't have skulls too small for their brains. And some groups trying to breed healthier dalmatians (something to do with their urine or bladder?). But still these groups are few compared to all other breeders (official and backyard mills). D: Tis sad when breeders don't care how the pups will live due to their genetics.
Pug, Bulldogs and all breeds that look like they have been whacked in the face with a frying pan shouldn't be bred. They live depressingly short, painful lives for the enjoyment of their owners.
my cairnterrier lost his nail like that twice. once when he was a young dog jumping up onto our pool deck, and once when he was like 14 when he caught his toe going out of a caravan. it was the only times he was sick in his entire life until old age got to him. he passed away, almost a year ago now, just a few months shy of 16 years old! i was just 6 when i got him so we grew up together and had a very special bond. i’ve been chronically ill for most of my life and he always knew when i felt unwell and stayed by my side. he even knew where i was hurting on a particular day and often licked that area. cairns are amazing and i’d definitely recommend that breed to other people! fly high zingo, sissy misses you ♥️

That Wallaby had similar problem as our cat. Our kitty cat had scratched his ear one night (despite being treated for mites and fleas) until I guess he broke a blood vessel. No sores on his ears, so we didn’t know until it started swelling. Very small, at first. Then over next few days, it filled up. The size of a ping pong ball! We took him to the vet and the vet did surgery. She pierced the bump on his ear, drained the blood...and sewed a button on to his ear!! She said it was to allow it to dry out! He had the cone of shame for a couple of weeks before she removed the button. Until the day he passed away (in July 2020), the tip of his little ear was folded down like a page in a magazine. I hated that pain and surgery for him but, it was the cutest look. People loved his folded ear and one pizza delivery lady wanted to adopt him from us.

Hugo is either the most trusting wallaby ever or he's been pre-sedated. So calm and sweet for a brawling troublemaker. Beautiful beautiful face and gorgeous eyes.
One of my dogs hurt her nail once. She was just running around the yard, suddenly screamed, and stopped what she was doing to limp back to me. It wasn't immediately obvious what was wrong since her fur was black so I didn't see any blood and her nail was sort of hanging on in a way that it looked normal. I thought maybe she had gotten stung by something, or there might have been some broken glass, a sharp rock, or something that she stepped on. Definitely one thing I never thought I'd have to go to the vet for.
The situation with the dog could’ve been prevented if they trimmed the nails, if you know your dog is “accident prone”, you should take extra per cautions.

@@Shimezu I figured that's what it was. This has to be the most asinine youtube policy there is. I wish there was a way to petition youtube to rescind this senseless policy. Veterinary procedures should not be censored in shows about veterinary practices/medicine. The audience for these shows is overwhelmingly interested in seeing the procedures. Bondi Vet, please consider embedding links to uncensored versions in the descriptions of your youtube videos . The sanitized & monetized version will still be what automatically comes up in a search but at least, after opening the sanitized video, your audience will have the option to access the uncensored version.
My experience with drama queen dog is that when they are actually in pain it shows. I'm really surprised Chris didn't give him something for pain immediately; they usually do that before any examination of an injured animal.
I’m so, so, so glad God has given men & women the love for all animals so much, they choose to become Vets, in order to help our beloved fur babies of ALL breeds!🥰
If you don’t like watching your beloved pet struggle to breathe, don’t buy a breed that struggles to breathe. It’s downright torture to continue breeding those dogs. They do not deserve this. They are not cute. Their health issues are not cute.
Wow, those sheep clued in really quickly! The net gun was pretty cool you see those in cartoons, not real life lol. The poor pup with the nail and torn ligaments was sad, that must have been so painful. I do understand the woman's reaction though, I did make the comment that only one of my guinea pigs could get such a rare form of lymphoma because I've had a few guinea pigs develop really uncommon almost never seen in guinea pigs illnesses. At some point you do just expect it. Hugo was so cute!! Hopefully, his ear healed up alright.
I know that experience of going to the vet because your dog jumped out of a car and got hurt. My 12 year old shiba has been doing that since she was 8. We now have a ramp for her to get in and out of our Jeep.
I never know why zoo's don't put large areas of gravel and concrete down in enclosures of animals that need to wear down their nails / hoofs. Also mini mountains of bounders and rough things for them to climb on. Would save having to catch them and do the feet work..lot less stressful.
I felt so bad for the terrier! His owner's reaction seemed really odd to me. I treat all my animals as my furry children. She treated him like her dog. I may be totally off as we only see a few minutes of her interactions. But it doesn't give me a great feeling. And I liked the heart on his bandage :-). Steve knows his soft palates; so happy he was able to help. The wallaby is lucky that his caregiver loves him, and got him help fast. And poor Tim got the worst of it catching those goats. He is a good friend to help with that chore. I absolutely love these episodes, and thank all those who make it possible to see what happens behind the scenes. I am hooked!
Dogs being treated as children leads to behavioral issues. Most of the time and working as a dog groomer for 4 years, I've noticed the smaller dogs that are babied more have more behavioral issues. They need structure and leadership.
@@saraharrison1349 And I constantly have big dogs jumping on me. They all need to learn to behave but that has nothing to do with treating them like they're our babies. A big difference. Just like children need to learn to behave.
She took him to the vet as soon as it happened. So she clearly cares for him & thought it was serious. Some owners aren't always "all over" their pets.
His hair hanging in his eyes probably doesn’t help either. If you can’t see properly, you’re more likely to misjudge distance / angles etc when you jump.
To be fair to Fergus's owners, I have a small dog who's dramatic too and sometimes it's hard to tell when they're actually in pain because they hurt themselves or just want attention. We've spent so much money on emergency vet visits because she wanted attention and pretended to be sick, only to get to the vet, realize she messed up, and be right back to her normal self. We've also had to bring her in for so many small, silly injuries that sometimes all you can do is laugh after the initial shock and fear wears off. Of course we love and pamper her (we take her in any time she even sneezes wrong and the long long list of medical bills we have can prove it) but there's nothing you can do but have humor when the situation isn't life threatening. The fact that they brought him in proves that, even if they thought it was probably something minor, they still cared and didn't want to have him be in pain just in case.
Can we get the episodes with the medical procedures still in the video, maybe upload them as unlisted videos with a link in the description, vet ranch does it, and i dont see why you guys at bondi vet couldnt do the same thing
@@victorialuccitti4325 yeah, but then they tried to do youtube kids and uh-oh hello pre-existing child media safety laws axing that because youtube didn't want to put in the effort to fix their fuckup and they're putting the cost on the content makers
Poor Fergus... The dog hurts himself, and his mom cracks jokes, and insults him... definitely adding insult to injury. I'm sure they still love him. Even after they recieve the Vet Bill... 🤣

holy heck I'm sooo impressed with the transitions, they're so smooth that I've wondered a couple of times "wait did or didn't I miss something just now" XD GREAT JOB Editor(s)!! :D
Great show. Thank you. 🙂🙂🙂
...watching this show, you get to see all of the genetic issues these purebred animals have.
Breathing issues, Dachshunds with back problems...large dogs with back strokes, seems many issues brought in, are size or breed specific. :(
I love that the dolphin squeal lines up with the “IIII e IIII I can depend on you!”
Every time the intro comes on, I'm focusing on how pitch perfect that dolphin is :D
I watch this everyday chris u have stolen my heart you have a heart of gold such a loving soul an such compassion for all animals an feelings of people your one of a kind love ya
Best channel on planet earth ❤
I absolutely love this show
So glad to see you back in the limelight of being a vet xx
Those sheep are absolutely gorgeous! : o I thought I'd seen 'em all.
Brian is such a cute bulldog. Awww
I have 2 Cairn Terriers. They are such gorgeous dogs and they have the best temperament.
A sense of humour and so smart & very stubborn.
Love you guys!
Did you cut out the surgeries? Why? The button surgery was fascinating to see when it originally aired
youtube would have demonetized the video because of their rules on censorship.
ToriAnn true, but that really sucks😕
@@deborahcohen7025 exactly! That's what VetRanch did!
@@ShimezuI know - I know. That was really smart, A win-win solution. I miss Vet Ranch. . They rarely put out any new videos any more.
I had a Westie named Fergus. Brother breed to a Cairn. That little cairn terrier looked lovely might have to get one of those in the future
From a rescue, I hope.😊
I live with a Cairn, he’s the toughest little dog. If he was acting like poor Fergus, I would be very afraid.
That’s hilarious even the camels & other animals were running with the goats 🤣😂
Jason has the cutest buck teeth.😁 Scary moment when the sheep butted him.😣
I’m a groomer and my two cairns are my favorite duo. They are so sweet and full of personality.
I can Depend on this show to make my Day!!
I really want to go to Australia to meet Chris! And would love for him to come to where I’m from
My experience with drama queen dog is that when they are actually in pain it shows. I'm really surprised Chris didn't give him something for pain immediately; they usually do that before any examination of an injured animal.
I’m so, so, so glad God has given men & women the love for all animals so much, they choose to become Vets, in order to help our beloved fur babies of ALL breeds!🥰
That was a strange episode...no fotage of any of the operations?
They cant show footage cuz if they do they cant make money off of it
@@KandAProductions4 hmm? But in ever otgr episode they did ahow it and I still had adds
TheBlakia TH-cam has taken a turn for the worse and this is how it turned out and it is just devastating to lots of channels
OMG! Fergus looks like my dog! Just make him darker, floppy ears, and a curled tail and you’ll get a doppelgänger! He’s so adorable!
If you don’t like watching your beloved pet struggle to breathe, don’t buy a breed that struggles to breathe. It’s downright torture to continue breeding those dogs. They do not deserve this. They are not cute. Their health issues are not cute.
I love this channel
Love this show waiting....
A few minutes is all it takes for somebody to say nasty things.
Dogs being treated as children leads to behavioral issues. Most of the time and working as a dog groomer for 4 years, I've noticed the smaller dogs that are babied more have more behavioral issues. They need structure and leadership.
@@saraharrison1349 Wrong.
This Show Makes My World A Better Place!!
Chris's jawline looks extra manly in today's episode ehh?! 😍
Those sheep are stunning animals.
Go Dr. Steve! What a good man!
Job well done Dr. Chris Brown. Can't wait to see another new video. Greetings from San Francisco.
Watching this while eating takeout from Outback....✌🐨
These dogs live in discomfort.." it's really hard to watch" Imagine living that way.
The dogs nails are too long so no wonder hes caught it on something
Agree. Nails too long
His hair hanging in his eyes probably doesn’t help either.
“This is going to get weird...” The first words I said when I saw the title.
Ferguson is so cute and sweet. His mom seems kind of hard hearted. 😢
Love watching all these videos!
I worked at a vet 10 hours today... Then I came home, treated my own dog and now I'm watching this... I might have a problem...
Can we get the episodes with the medical procedures still in the video, maybe upload them as unlisted videos with a link in the description, vet ranch does it, and i dont see why you guys at bondi vet couldnt do the same thing
Vets are my new heroes!! ❤
Why didn’t we get to see Hugo’s actual procedure in it’s entirety?
youtube would have demonetized the video because of their rules on censorship.
@@Shimezu they use to allow it though
@@victorialuccitti4325 don't know what to tell you, they don't now unfortunately
@@victorialuccitti4325 yeah, but then they tried to do youtube kids and uh-oh hello pre-existing child media safety laws axing that because youtube didn't want to put in the effort to fix their fuckup and they're putting the cost on the content makers
I can't believe how the owner is blaming wee Fergus for his torn ligaments, after she suspected him of faking his injury. Hard woman.
One little toe can cause a world of pain. Try to drop a couch with metal legs on your little toe, and you'll soon find that out. Poor Fergus! 😢
Brian is a gorgeous puppy 🐶
Y’all don’t understand that Barbary sheep are fast and can jump 2m from a standing position. They’re not easy to deal with 😂
Poor Fergus... The dog hurts himself, and his mom cracks jokes, and insults him... definitely adding insult to injury. I'm sure they still love him. Even after they recieve the Vet Bill... 🤣
I'm very surprised people who get brachy dogs are shocked brachy dogs struggle to breathe. It's time to reverse what have been done to destroy these once healthy breathing dogs. Shame on the kennel clubs for allowing this
More with Jason and his team! Please!
