    You make flying look so easy, I love it! I've only ventured into 75mm 2s and I prefer it outside. But then again in February this year I could barely make it across the Livingroom in my condo. 85mm for me would be an outside quad for sure, just not this time of the year here. Decent looking HD footage out of it all things considered. I do find BetaFPV quads to be a little heavier, but those frames are solid so decent trade off for me and I kinda like the decorative pieces. Good to see video options are starting to look like rx options. Most popular BNF's seem to be in a Analog, Walksnail and HDZero version with all the normal radio selections and DJI for the bigger ones. Thanks for putting these videos together for us, keep warm!

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      2s whoop 75mm is a nice progression, probably after we have 1s down somewhat well. Flying inside is very unforgiving, inside space design can make it a bit easier.

  • @sixtofive
    @sixtofive ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I've flown 2s 85mm inside, but it's slow exploratory only. That's a bit too much power for my skill level to let loose and go plaid. In my opinion, 2s 85mm is the ideal combo for outdoor whoop flying. Having taken these BetaFPV frames through the crashes of several seasons of IGOW, I'll say they are a lot more durable than the 65 & 75mm frames even in the cold. Plus, if you want even more durability they have the carbon fiber cross brace you can add underneath if you don't mind the extra couple grams of weight. Just realized while typing, my profile picture is still set to one of my favorite 2s 85mm builds. I have found the Gemfan 2023 triblade props to be my personal favorite for this size, and have cut the battery holder off to just go with a battery strap for 300-650 mah batteries depending on what type of flight I'm going for. Right now I'm debating whether to use my first 1s avatar board from the VRX preorder for a 2s 85mm whoop or a 3s 3" toothpick. Either way should be a lot of fun!

      @sakfpv8444 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree about the 2023 triblades, I just got the meteor85, analog edition, 44g!!!! I was having weird bobbles at full throttle toward the middle of the battery life I had left, and it would just act weird after 1:00 of flying. All I did was swap to those triblades, and I got a little extra flight time, about 3:45 with the camera angle at full tilt, and fighting the wind. Oh, using a gnb 450mah battery. I snipped out those little braces in the meteor85 frame to fit better batteries than the betafpv batteries. I use rdq 525, rdq 650 even fits. But my favorite are the gnb 450mah, 100c batteries. I'm OK with 20 seconds less flight, with much more agility.

    That washout almost looked like demag. I just got this quad with Walksnail and mine seems to be about 50.95g and I calibrated using a 50g calibration weight to be sure. My DJI Firefly Nano baby 20 weighs 41-42g without battery and indoors it feels like much more of a handful then this does. Might be tune/power difference but I feel more confident with this indoors. Just wish the Walksnail goggles didn't suck so bad. The eye holes are so tiny compared to my DJI V2's and they have some kind of chromatic aberration but the eye hole size is the biggest issue IMO. Mine came with pack from RDQ for $185 and Tattu 2s 450 95C HV's fit just as well as the stock pack maybe a little better.

Haven't jumped on the Betafpv Walksnail train yet though. Once I get the VRX and see how that goes, I'll likely be looking at them again. C rating only matters if comparing with in the brand. C rating isn't a standard unit of measurement in fpv/drone batteries. The c rating doesn't have an impact of if it can be used on one quad or another. The cell count of a battery or the overall voltage of a battery does determine if it can be used on one drone/quad or another.

    I’m not a fan of the Meteor85. It’s due for a makeover. That thing’s a monstrosity imo. I mean, at least put a black antenna, or why not use their grey frame instead since the new 75 is black. But yea, the frame and canopy were designed in the 1980s.. I don’t understand why 65mm gets all the colors and 75mm and 85mm are clunky black.
    That said, I agree that 2S is definitely the new 1S because of HD.
    Edit: just looked at their site and they use the grey frame and colored canopy/matching props for the analog version. Still think more colors and an updated design would be nice. The knight helmet and other cosmetic things looks childish. These do look like toys, but it’s mainly adults that are buying these things. I wish they would shift towards a more professional look and practical things like weight than putting cat ears on their drone frames.
