I have the Janome 4400 i have only been sewing for about 18 months, my husband got me this machine today, i havent played with it yet, was just watching some videos for tips on using it, im excited about the different patterns on it, great video explains the basics on it.
I love this review. Please keep doing more. I also love the videos showing the internal working of machines. I have sewn for over 50 years and you tell me something new every time.
I have a Bernette B38 * besides my Brother Inovis F420 * and Janome reminds me a lot of Bernette Sewing Machines. This one, you really got a bargain at hobbycraft. Lovely machine by the looks of it with LOTS of stitches.
Do you have this machine? If you have a computer sewing machine, I would love to know what your favourite and not so favourite features are. Let me know what you think x
I have this machine (the GD8100), I am a beginner and tried making some box style make up bags with fusible fleece and found it struggled with all the layers but this could have been a pilot error 🤣
Very informative and I enjoyed her demo, especially about the stretch fabric she demonstrated which was a bit of a disappointment considering having tried and tested various ways to improve.
Please can you tell me how to open the casing on the left in the case of thread getting stuck. I have loosened the screw at the back but the cover will still not come off.
For the stretch fabric. I had that problem with my old mc 6600p which was/is a really good machine other wise. So I am wondering if it's a janome thing rather than a "this machine" thing.
Hi Abi, I bought the hc8100 roughly two weeks ago but when I try to sew with the decorative stitches the machine jams up, the thread jams up underneath the needle. Any help would be great.
Thanks so much for the video. I'm considering getting one of these. Can I ask whether you think it would be ok with thin leather (with a walking foot I guess), and also how high would you say the foot goes? Thanks!
in the same way I saw it in John Lewis and it made me the same . Only more expensive... Do you thing that ist better janome o brother fs40? What do you thing?

I’ve just got this machine and so far so good

From watching Abi’s videos it has given me the confidence to open and service my own machines now. :)
❤️ your kitten Abi, could watch her all day! 😻
I got totally distracted by your beautiful kitten 😀
ABI you love a new sowing machine and it always puts a smile on your face .

Thanks for sharing! The Bernette is a Janome Bernina collaboration
Thanks for making this video. I've had this machine for a year or so and there were a couple of bits I didn't know about 😊

Thanks for this Abi. Ive had this machine for about 18 months now and I'd really love a guide to cleaning or home servicing if possible?
Hi Abi. Great video again. can you show the best way to set up the janome for twin need sawing. please.👍😘
Also with hobby craft you can book a sewing demo for the sewing machine you want to buy. You book on line for around £5.
Ooh! Good tip!
Have you tried to sew stretch fabric between tissue paper? I've found that this help out. I have a Janome MC 9900, and are very pleased with that one.

Are there any differences (other than the looks) to the John Lewis machine or is it literally the same internally?!
exactly the same :-)

The brother FS sewing machines are awful. Terrible and should be recalled in my honest opinion
