Madge Sinclair 1938-1995 she voiced Queen Sarabi
Robert Guillaume 1927-2017 he voiced Rafiki
and James Earl Jones 1931-2024 who voiced Mufasa, my favorite quote from the movie was this, Look at the stars the great Kings of the past looks down on us from those stars so whenever you feel alone just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you and so will I

It doesn't matter how many times I've seen this movie, the scene where Simba finds Mufasa dead in the gorge always gets me in the heart. Especially the fact that Scar gaslights Simba into thinking it was his (Simba's) fault and Johnathan Taylor Thomas' line delivery.
Also, I am very glad they cast James Earl Jones as Mufasa. As much as I respect the actor, they almost cast Christopher Walken.
Side note: Some of the character's names have meanings translated out of Swahili
    Simba: Lion
    Nala: Gift
    Mufasa: King
    Sarabi: Mirage
    Rafiki: Friend
    Pumbaa: Slow-Witted
    Zazu: Movement
    Shenzi: Savage
    Banzai: Skulk or lurk
    Taka (Scar's original name): Waste
Timon (His name actually comes from Greek): Respect or Honor

I think the moral of the story of The Lion King is that you may inherit a kingdom, but there are obstacles to overcome before you can. People will want to take you down, overthrow their hierarchy of the kingdom, etc. So Simba was overcoming obstacles due to a tyrant lion that wanted control over everything. It could have been considered a run of the mill story for 1994 standards, but it was how the story was executed that made The Lion King arguably the best film of the 1990s for Disney.
Salute to Abby and Hannah. And I hope I don't get heat for saying this, but Hannah looks beautiful in this video. In the words of Rocky Balboa, Hannah would be breaking hearts the way she is looking.

also it's implied that scar wouldn't be opposed to challenging mufasa he just knows better. its also heavily implied mufasa would unalive scar if he did challenge him since its subtlety implied that's how you get rid of rivals ethically" thru combat without it being "murder" the way scar shifted that on simba when mufasa died. scar got around that via "accidental death" of mufasa and technically simba v scar was supposed to be to the death anyway.

The thing about Lion King is how loosely it's based on Shakespeare's Hamlet. The plot is relatively the same with the only difference being the number of deaths within the respective productions. In Hamlet, a WHOPPING nine out of eleven characters die, whereas in Lion King, only two characters die.

After this are The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride, The Lion King 1&1/2, two animated shows, the award winning Broadway production, a remake and the remake's upcoming prequel. Notable performances in this include James Earl Jones, Madge Sinclair, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons, Rowan Atkinson, Whoopie Goldberg, Cheech Marin and Nathan Lane. fun fact Males with darker manes had higher testosterone levels, were more likely to recover from injury, spent more time resident with prides, and had higher offspring survival. Thus, mane color appears to convey information about male aggressiveness and potential reproductive success. females lions find them more suitable, downside they overheat and have low sperm/defective sperm bc of it, so they need to be in the shade constantly and often viewed laying about.
hyena fun fact: These carnivores are one of Africa’s top predators; however, there is a common misconception that they are primarily scavengers. On the contrary, about 70 percent of their diet is composed of direct kills. They consume animals of various types and sizes, carrion, bones, vegetable matter, and other animal droppings. Their jaws are among the strongest in relation to the size of any other mammal. Their jaws and digestive tract allow them to process and obtain nutrients from skin and bones. The only parts of prey not fully digested are hair, horns, and hooves - these are regurgitated in the form of pellets. The high mineral content of the bones makes their droppings a highly visible, chalky white. According to campers, these animals have even been known to consume aluminum pots and pans.

Actually, Rafiki is a mandrill, mandrills are closely related to baboons. But for some reason they gave him a tail, mandrills don't have tails 😆If I would be an animal in this movie, I'd probably a warthog, like Pumbaa 😂Or maybe a hornbill, like Zazu, who, by the way is voiced by the one and only Rowan Atkinson. My favorite character? Ed, probably 🤪 20:27 Hmm, I have seen this movie a few times, but I don't remember the part where Timon and Pumbaa turn into chipmunks 🤔And I never made the connection between Zazu and Sebastian, but you're right, they both give off that annoying "your parents told me to keep an eye on you" vibe. The Pride Lands look like shit when they return because it's the dry season, and Scar never bothered to move with the herds, so no food, and no water. Some king, huh... But you can see the rain starting to fall, bringing the Pride Lands back to life. The Lion King 1 1/2 is kinda fun, it shows the events in the first movie, but from the perspectives of Timon and Pumbaa.
By the way, your background music is 🔥And the picture of Eddie behind you is cool too.

But the movie Hercules I can Go the distance is impactful for me because of being 3 years in remission of cancer. Also fun little fact that the actors James Earl Jones and Madge Sinclair who play the characters mufasa and sarabi we're also in the movie coming to America as king and queen of the country for Eddie Murphy's character, and one of Madge Sinclair's best movies in my personal opinion was the movie convoy
