In this video i will show you how to make a portable thermoelectric air conditioner at home, in this project i have used thermoelectric device(peltier module) for cooling purpose
    Material Used
    1- 2 Peltier Module

There are several mistakes in this video:
    (1) The box is not fully attached with the cooling part of the module. May be the warmer side can be cooled by it's own module! Really it's an innovative idea!!!
    (2) Power supply 12V 5A = 120 W. I think it need to be recalculated.
    (3) Exhaust Fan fitted in opposite direction. That is why module didn't work. So he heated the thermostat with a lighter to 50+ degrees and waited in an AC room till the temp. went down to 24 degrees and he immediately stopped the video. Good thinking!!!

    It was very good,
just want to give an idea, instead of connecting the tablets in parallel and connect in series, and a tablet is 6w and another 8w and instead of being two windows back and be only one with the two tablets stay on top one of another (tablets) will have a consumption instead of 9.9w goes to 3w and the temperature falls in parallel if it has 29 degrees in the environment descends to 13, but if it has in series with the same external temperature of 29 degrees there already but it will work well as well as with more consumption and less cooling.

this is why you should study thermodynamics.
the room will only get hotter, its like keeping the refrigerator open to cool the room , it will never cool. will only get hotter.

The hot side of the peltier should be directly exhausted out of a window, then this will work well.

I‘m trying to make a version of this where the hot heat sink is in a big container with cool water inside of it so the coolness is coming from the water and also ice if I put it in there... want to cool down a medium size room with it.. What do y’all think?

    • @ImJuned09
      @ImJuned09 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@parzival9639 there are soo many things you are doing wrong. Firstly if u have that large amount of cold water. Just use that to cold to cool ur room . Why use the peltier module ?
Second. You can't cool ur room with a peltier module it can't remove such large amounts of heat quickly . The heat entering ur room will always be greater than what ur removing with a peltier module.
Also there is a limit upto which u can increase the temp difference between the two sides of a peltier module after that it fails . U can't keep making the hot side colder to remove heat there is a limit to it.
3.They are highly inefficient . If u are planning to connect multiple number of peltier modules to cool ur room. Just use a air-conditioner. It might be more efficient.

    • @parzival9639

Juned Mohamed thanks for answering! To your first point: I don’t really have a way to cool my room with the water because I don’t want to use evaporative cooling and blowing air onto a hatsink which is connected to the water doesn’t have that much of an effect... To your second point: my room is pretty well isolated, but my question (not retorical) is: If I can’t cool down my room with peltier modules, how can I? Because I’m essentially blowing air from a -5 degree celcius heat sink into my room... I don’t have anything that is colder than that so I would have to use a different technique but I don’t know of any other. To the third point: I want the cool side to be under freezing point, can I sustain that temp for a longer period of time? So effectively my question is: what should I do?

Fun project! However, this wouldn't work at all unless you move the heat collected from the Peltiers to another area isolated from the volume you try to cool down. As shown, this design will only work as a heater, essentially. Another thing I noticed was the direct connection of the hot side with cold side with screws. I would also dare you to make this using no glue at all.

Try this, mini cryogenic stirling piston. 2 1/2 copper pipe bent into a coil. Coil filled with gallium aluminum scandium alloy then end cap sweated on sealing on end off copoer coil. A copper sleave inserted and sealed into one end of copper coil to insert mini cryogenic stirling piston. Get a large cooler place a hole in the lid close to one edge. Place the other hole on the bityom side of cooler. Make riser and secure blower motor and mini cryogenic stirling piston to riser leaving an area bellow for condensation that you can use the coolers drain plug to drain. Then use foamed aluminum panels to line the inside and make a holder for the large copper coil and duct the air flow to pass through the coil then cooled air forced out PVC elbow on the lid that you can swivel. Add thermostat to switch off blower fan in order for the mini cryogenic stirling piston to super cool tge large copper coil . A 24 volt air conditioning system. 😊😉

The solution is to put this thing in the window , cutting away part of glass of the window itself ( not more difficult to install than splitter ) ...

Cloud Strife I'm building one of these for a 1989 van that doesn't have AC, and what I'm doing is making the hot sides of the peltier units water cooled with the two water lines going through my floor to a small CPU radiator mounted under the vehicle. The hot side will also be insulated so no extra heat can radiate into the van.

Did you ever try this out? How did it go? I'm trying to figure out how to make a mini air conditioner that will run on solar...but not evaporative cooler...they dont pass the test and take up precious water when off grid

@@apedfish8374 Hi..I found land in florida that is cool at night even in august. Learned to sleep w a 12v roof fan. I want test geothermal cooling of a small space. In my van I just run the engine for an hour with ac blasting before bed. This serves two purposes.. cools the van. Tops my battery. I'm waiting for Ev vans that can run ac overnight.

@@12vLife darnit yea that would be too expensive to find out it didn't work. I actually started thinking about trying to make my own air conditioner but thats just because my dad is an engineer so I have inherited that inquisitiveness but not the actual ability. That's how I ended up looking at this video to see what kind of air conditioners exist. However, I can't imagine that anything I could make would work any better than the zero breeze so back to square one.

Yep. Net loss in the whole system if all you're doing is pumping MORE heat out the back than the cold that you are creating in front. Stand back a few feet from this thing, and you will feel that the room is getting hotter, not cooler.
