this is why you should study thermodynamics.
the room will only get hotter, its like keeping the refrigerator open to cool the room , it will never cool. will only get hotter.
The hot side of the peltier should be directly exhausted out of a window, then this will work well.
@@Synthematix You are correct about that
I‘m trying to make a version of this where the hot heat sink is in a big container with cool water inside of it so the coolness is coming from the water and also ice if I put it in there... want to cool down a medium size room with it.. What do y’all think?
@@parzival9639 there are soo many things you are doing wrong. Firstly if u have that large amount of cold water. Just use that to cold to cool ur room . Why use the peltier module ?
Second. You can't cool ur room with a peltier module it can't remove such large amounts of heat quickly . The heat entering ur room will always be greater than what ur removing with a peltier module.
Also there is a limit upto which u can increase the temp difference between the two sides of a peltier module after that it fails . U can't keep making the hot side colder to remove heat there is a limit to it.
3.They are highly inefficient . If u are planning to connect multiple number of peltier modules to cool ur room. Just use a air-conditioner. It might be more efficient.
Juned Mohamed thanks for answering! To your first point: I don’t really have a way to cool my room with the water because I don’t want to use evaporative cooling and blowing air onto a hatsink which is connected to the water doesn’t have that much of an effect... To your second point: my room is pretty well isolated, but my question (not retorical) is: If I can’t cool down my room with peltier modules, how can I? Because I’m essentially blowing air from a -5 degree celcius heat sink into my room... I don’t have anything that is colder than that so I would have to use a different technique but I don’t know of any other. To the third point: I want the cool side to be under freezing point, can I sustain that temp for a longer period of time? So effectively my question is: what should I do?
Sir aapki mehnat ke liye like + subscribe to banta hai 55°c room temperature 🌡️🥵hai tab bhi aapne itni mehnat karke video banai kya bolti hai audience like +subscribe karo jaldi‼️
There are several mistakes in this video:
(1) The box is not fully attached with the cooling part of the module. May be the warmer side can be cooled by it's own module! Really it's an innovative idea!!!
(2) Power supply 12V 5A = 120 W. I think it need to be recalculated.
(3) Exhaust Fan fitted in opposite direction. That is why module didn't work. So he heated the thermostat with a lighter to 50+ degrees and waited in an AC room till the temp. went down to 24 degrees and he immediately stopped the video. Good thinking!!!
You're right. All fittings are wrong.
It was very good,
just want to give an idea, instead of connecting the tablets in parallel and connect in series, and a tablet is 6w and another 8w and instead of being two windows back and be only one with the two tablets stay on top one of another (tablets) will have a consumption instead of 9.9w goes to 3w and the temperature falls in parallel if it has 29 degrees in the environment descends to 13, but if it has in series with the same external temperature of 29 degrees there already but it will work well as well as with more consumption and less cooling.
Dayyyyyymmmmm you made a heater
The hot side of the peltier should be directly exhausted out of a window, then this will work well.
yes the conservation of energy agrees
or have the hot side water cooled with pc water cooling parts with the radiator outside (of your window or put it in another room) so heat is move out of ur room to the other.
Wowe, great video, thats how u measure the temperature and not like those people who place the temp. Sensor direclty on peltier...
What kind of gel like did you use?
His room temp is so hot 😂😂🔥
50°C😭
Haha 50c
Probably heated up the sensor for a more dramatic effect.
His temperature room is 24 and he heat up the sensor to 50 so all its fake 😭
50°C 😂
Nice..,but it can be possible to run continually..,
Fun project! However, this wouldn't work at all unless you move the heat collected from the Peltiers to another area isolated from the volume you try to cool down. As shown, this design will only work as a heater, essentially. Another thing I noticed was the direct connection of the hot side with cold side with screws. I would also dare you to make this using no glue at all.
Agreed, he is adding more energy into the system. Room's average temperature should increase.
Isso era pra ser um ar condicionado???
Hi bro can i direct connect to current
Please tell about the costing of all items used
Wow that's good thing I need more information about it
The big heat sink is for the hot air right two fans going out or going in..
Going Out
what a smart idea
How hot is in exhausto side
I can understand your struggle for this urgent ac! 51c• not a joke
Cómo puedo localizarte para comprarte uno
Good
I like this
mujhe ye bna bnaya chaiye body nahi prise btaiye
I have the same idea only bigger
Really sorry to be picky. But Mr hacksaw's logo is a wood saw. Not a hacksaw.. lol
Try this, mini cryogenic stirling piston. 2 1/2 copper pipe bent into a coil. Coil filled with gallium aluminum scandium alloy then end cap sweated on sealing on end off copoer coil. A copper sleave inserted and sealed into one end of copper coil to insert mini cryogenic stirling piston. Get a large cooler place a hole in the lid close to one edge. Place the other hole on the bityom side of cooler. Make riser and secure blower motor and mini cryogenic stirling piston to riser leaving an area bellow for condensation that you can use the coolers drain plug to drain. Then use foamed aluminum panels to line the inside and make a holder for the large copper coil and duct the air flow to pass through the coil then cooled air forced out PVC elbow on the lid that you can swivel. Add thermostat to switch off blower fan in order for the mini cryogenic stirling piston to super cool tge large copper coil . A 24 volt air conditioning system. 😊😉
Interesting, would like to know more, any suggested links?
Even I would like to know more about it !!
Amazing, I was looking for a cheap way of making the ac and a convenient manner ,could u please tell the room tempreture
Should it install like big window AC in which back side is outside of room... Coz peltier too is hot on back side.. from front it blows cool air and from back it blows hot air...
How room become cooler??
Plz let me know the how to install it?
Yep. These videos claiming to make an A/C box with no venting of the heat pumped OUT of the room air are all BS.
Kaç derece faydası oluyor
Great home made portable air conditioner I would buy one
Muje bhi chahiye ye coolar
Sir large and small heat silk kya kam karta hai iski prise kya hai.yah kaha milta hai and peltier module ac nahi hota hai?
I hate it when they upload a interesting vid and then do not tell what they are doing . They just say here look at this, I am realy smart, now you try to figure out what I did.
Wonder how are going to get rid of the water condensation
Can the body of van be the heat sink?. I'm in a small cargo van that has two large fans (one inbound in the front and another the outbound in the back). Ventilation is great and it very small space (like
Did you ever try this out? How did it go? I'm trying to figure out how to make a mini air conditioner that will run on solar...but not evaporative cooler...they dont pass the test and take up precious water when off grid
@@apedfish Hi..I found land in florida that is cool at night even in august. Learned to sleep w a 12v roof fan. I want test geothermal cooling of a small space. In my van I just run the engine for an hour with ac blasting before bed. This serves two purposes.. cools the van. Tops my battery. I'm waiting for Ev vans that can run ac overnight.
@@12vLife glad you found a way to survive the heat 🙌 Im looking at these very small air conditioners that are coming out on the market now like zero breeze but they are expensive.
@@apedfish I've never heard anybody real say zerobreeze works.
@@12vLife darnit yea that would be too expensive to find out it didn't work. I actually started thinking about trying to make my own air conditioner but thats just because my dad is an engineer so I have inherited that inquisitiveness but not the actual ability. That's how I ended up looking at this video to see what kind of air conditioners exist. However, I can't imagine that anything I could make would work any better than the zero breeze so back to square one.
IN THE THERE IS NO ANY WHOLE FOR AIR FLOWING, THEN HOW CAN U GET AIR?
cut up some aluminium cans and jam in slots on heatsink to increase fin size and maximise air to cold surface contact area just like a real AC uses an evaporator. Also, water cooling hot side works better with salted water.

I WONDER, WHERE DID HE BUILD THIS ODD "WHATEVER"?? TEMP WAS 51C.!??! IN SAUNA? NORM ROOM TEMP IS ~19-23C. IN THE END TEMP WAS ~30C.!! 😅😅😅
Amazing 😁😁
Pero y que es esto? Por dnd sale el aire?
We can supplier the high efficiency peltier module
50.c° ?
you are pulling in heat off of the hot side of the peltier modules since it in not insulated.
gabus nya apa ga meleleh boss
Simply use cold water and fan
At 9:38 it shows 51.6 C! Buddy your ambient temperature is 51.6 Degree Celsius??!!! Where are you from?!
Hector Domino my guess is his thermometer was probably way out of calibration
unless he's in the desert.
Or he actually heated the sensors beforehand with a lighter... His actual room temperature may actually be only 28ish... He must have done it to show how good his "AC" is... To have brought down temp from 50°ish to 24° in no time lol.. Even real ACs can only dream of doing that... In an uninsulated environment...
May be he lives in Sahara Desert!!! we dont know!!
Maybe he's living on the Mars.
Idea is good but back side hot air take back side add box hot air back..
In box aid boss pipe out if window and put sumal fan ri out air it me me a.c
from where u have got the Peltier module? it is the smart way to cool if designed properly.
Nice project👍..i will prefer to use 12V 10A or 12A. to suffice peltier in parallel. 10A @ 12V will produce 120W.
if the big heat sink is exhaust will i use also a big heat sink in the other side to make it more cooler????
Where does the air escape?
Link is not working can you pls post new link
Exhaust fan is running opposite I think as per video
Finished at 24.4 Celsius degrees !! This is not cold !!!
24.4C and equal to 76F
do you think you could make a 700 btu air conditioner using tec?
I'm not a big fan of that royalty-free music track.
It's the sound track of bad youtube ideas. jk on this one tho.
Lol fan being the operative word.
Nice idea...
For how many hours or how long can you use this airconditioner continuesly?
goood effort gais
If it was with the explanation, it would be better. The failed videos are the ones that lack verbal or written explanations.. and we have to guess what you are doing.
Mind blowing 👌
Wahts the last music ?
this doesnt work the heat the tec generates at the other side just dumps back into your room
Yep. Net loss in the whole system if all you're doing is pumping MORE heat out the back than the cold that you are creating in front. Stand back a few feet from this thing, and you will feel that the room is getting hotter, not cooler.
Keep it at the window.
Hot at outside the room
And Cool side at your room
U noob😂😂
You need to put a pipe for hot air outside the room
Then it will work
For much time you can use it in one go
Large Heat Sink
Sensor peltier
Thermal compound
Small Heat sink
I can assure you that this will not work as an air conditioner. Unfortunately, TH-cam is full of these videos without any explanations and calculations. 2 Peltiers will maybe cool down a cup of water in several minutes if you directly attach the Peltiers to the container, but it will not cool down your room for sure. A general AC takes around 1500-2000 W from the outlet. If you are using 1/10th or even less of it, imagine the result...
Great,,the front side blows cold air and the rear blows hot air so the air is just fighting one another how can it cool your room?:)
you have it set up so the exhaust is blowing out of your room and the cold side blows in, simple
The Peltier's hot farts go out the window. 😉
The solution is to put this thing in the window , cutting away part of glass of the window itself ( not more difficult to install than splitter ) ...
Cloud Strife I'm building one of these for a 1989 van that doesn't have AC, and what I'm doing is making the hot sides of the peltier units water cooled with the two water lines going through my floor to a small CPU radiator mounted under the vehicle. The hot side will also be insulated so no extra heat can radiate into the van.
Cloud Strife exhaust the hot air like a window unit aircon
You could reverse the flow of electricity and get a heater.
Hello, can you tell me what is the name of that box that you used to connect the little ones? Please
I am confused. The large fan was sucking in air, yet it was getting cooler. Shouldn't the large fan be blowing cool air, Out?
No? It is blowing out.
Why are those thing going in the opposite direction if it was blowing out air?
Yep it was sucking in
right it's sucking the air in 🤦♂️
DO YOU Have you one ready, give me your site
this project wont work... rads from peltiers arent fully inside styrofoam box... most of cold and moisture are coming outside - see 6:23 this is major flaw
You are pumping absorbed heat into the same room. It gets only hotter because power supply is heating too.
Trew Mika damn this is so fcking true
Energy saving rule xd
@@wolski3714 That is not problem. Just put water block on the hot side and put heatsink somewhere outside. That's it all.
120W eso consume mucha electricidad
Man, how the air enter in the cooling box?
9:35 we need AC not fan
so cool bro
Thanks
And one thing its not a thermoelectric ac. Thermoelectric means converting wastage heat to electricity and u r doing the reverse
Gooood!!!👍👍
Thanks
Can it cool to 16°C in 4x4 room?
no
