An interesting video and plenty of information on your process. I have just 'discovered' you by watching Watercolour Challenge and am presently enjoying your Sketching for the Absolute Beginner. Though I've been sketching a bit for a few years their is no end to learning, thank goodness. I love your style of painting - keeping the bead wet and introducing colour variations as you progress through the wash. An exciting process. I am also keeping fingers crossed that a further edition of your watercolour book will be out soon, as I've already ordered it and am impatient to see it!

I started watercolours in March 2020 (no surprise there!) and am making good progress, but I need to study your style more, because I love how you create such a lovely atmosphere and details without actually defining every nook and crannie - your style is subtle and wonderful! Thanks to your book and vids, I'm learning now to get things to "read" rather than painting the worm's eyebrows and every other detail, and it's so exciting! Thank you 💕
Hi Peter - many thanks for uploading this video. I bought your book earlier this year as I was keen to try your method. I have struggled but I think watching you will help. I think something that might help me is to try and sketch a very simple scene with just basic shapes and start from there before gradually building up to a scene with more recognizable shapes like houses and boats etc.
Likewise.. saw you on Watercolour challenge and dead impressed with how you paint and how get information across. I’m really rubbish at the moment but hope to improve as I go along.. North Wales isn’t far from me so inspired to get over there. Any tips you have for learning would be appreciated.. cheers!
Really like this, I tried to buy your watercolour book but it isn't available anywhere 😪 I haven't painted or sketched, since I left school. I did manage to get your sketching book though, lots of great tips in it.
