Champagne glass at the footy? You bloody betcha! I remember people bringing in slab’s of beer over their shoulders to games… This is when footy was real. People were real. I went to my first game in 1977 at the Junction oval, Fitzroy vs South Melbourne when I was eight years old. I fell in love with the game on that day, lived it, breathed it, dreamed it…Until the AFL murdered my Roy Boys in 1996. Now I couldn’t give a stuff! I want to thank you GEZZA so much for all those awesome memories. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, but I just enjoyed it anyway. Thank you once again for all those great memories. If you could post any more with Fitzroy in them I would be eternally thankful. If I had just one wish I would ask to go back in time to the 1981 First Semi Final, Fitzroy vs Collingwood at the G. Even though we got done by one point in a finish that broke our all hearts it was the greatest game I ever witnessed…Go the Roys!

Yep... It was more a players game. Now its a coaches game, placing robots in their positions... I went from 3 games a week to ONE game per Year... and only then if it was forced upon me !!! Conmen run the game as a non profit organization and a one million dollar "wage" for doing so... Oh so noble !!!
@@Gezza1967 what i dont get is why your great soap neighbours needed uk funding when home and away didnt and couldnt still be showing on an aussie autstralian tv channel and not needed to be on freevew
@@Gezza1967 i just assumed you would know being a melbourne guy and that neighbours not being shown on uk channel 5 five anymore was major news headlines all over australia oz
