Each version of Tomodachi Life has EXTREME region differences. This affects items, dialogue, NPCs, events, dreams, voice quality and accent, clothes, random Mii activities, and SO much more. This is why multiple modes of the save editor are needed for each region.

@@novelnygma sorry, I thought it was pretty straightforward! You just type in the number of items you want and hit save! You can overwrite the 99 items you have by setting it to 0 or 1!

8:55 id like to add that you can use ftpd instead of turning off the console and taking out the sd card download winscp on your computer and you can just edit files through a server for older 3ds its not rlly an issue but i have a new 3ds and having to screw the bottom plate everytime i want to change something would be so annoying without it

@@Pinku-no-hoshi No worries! So in checkpoint you select the game you want the save files of, then you press “A” on the game. Then to extract the save data you press either the extract button or the left shoulder button, and to restore the save data after you edited it you press restore or the right shoulder button!
i'm not exactly sure what you mean, but i'm guessing that youve not followed the steps correctly in checkpoint. first you back up your tomodachi life save data. then you load that data into the save editor after you've edited your save, you save it to your sd card in the same spot the original data was. then you go back into checkpoint and restore the new data into your tomodachi cartridge. and if theres a corruption then restore the backup that the save editor made.
Do you know how to do this with citra? I've been trying to save a relationship with travel tickets and I can NEVER get any, if not do you have any tips on raising chances for stuff like that?
I don't know much about citra but you can definitely use the editor if you can access your save data. Sadly there isn't a way to increase the odds of getting items.
@@HeroFoureverOn the topic of item odds, do you know if items have set probabilities of showing up after you play with a Mii? For example, the gold ingot I’ve noticed shows up once in a blue moon, but the hotel toiletries show up almost every time on my save file. It doesn’t change anything because as you said the odds can’t be changed, but still curious regardless

Hi! So in the mii inventory section the clothing number represents which clothing item the mii is wearing. Every item in the game has a number and you can type that number into the save editor to change a mii's clothes. But there is no way to know the numbers, they're not the same as the numbers in the catalogue. An easier way to do it is to go to the items edit menu, and click on the shirt icon to give it an orange outline, this unlocks ALL clothes in the game so you can then gift you miis any outfit you want!!!!
I wish this works for Japanese tomodachi life, will plan on editing my SD card version on my modded 2ds! :) (i don't wanna corrupt my cartridge verson of the usa one :v)
Hi, i have a questioon. Im using the save editor, and so far its gone good (No corruptions yet) . however i used the save editor to unlock all the items. But when you unlock a full item set, theres a news report to celebrate, and for some reason now every time i edit my save i have to click through tons of news reports about it. I checked, the unlock all buttons are deselected. So what im wondering is how to i fix this if possible?
@ I’ve tried that, and unfortunately it hasn’t worked. It stops for a while, but as soon as anything gets edited by the save editor I have to click through all the news report again
@@imjellyblob Are you exporting/backing up your save in checkpoint every time you edit something? before you edit you want to make a new backup, you can't reuse what is already on your sd card

I've never edited the interiors, but they're probably numbered based on their ranking as a vector index or something like the miis are. Like how in the editor the miis are numbered 1-100, but the index used to call the mii doesn't match that number. You'll probably just have to figure out the interiors yourself, maybe its alphabetical?

That should be safe yes! If something does go wrong just reinstall the backup and it'll be like you never hacked it in the first place! But I've done that before and had no issues!
Stupid question, but how to tou forced babies? Ive tried the " we had a baby" interaction, but it never seems to work. Ive tried putting the tagrget as the spouse or the mii, and i even have tried giving them both the same interaction but nothing works. They're married and soul mates. You seem to be the only active ytber with knowledge on the editor, so i would appreciate the help.
which version are you using? I've found that almost ALL of the newer and ex versions don't work with the baby interactions. Try 4.0.1 and set one of your married miis to "I was thinking of having a child with mii...", remember you have to wait 2 days for them to give birth lol, though you can force it with the save editor AFTER helping with the original baby prompt.
Ok. So I’ve been trying to break up two Miis because they’re my friends irl who broke up. Do you know how to do that? I’ve tried to do the interactions and changing their relationship but it corrupts my save file right away. I don’t know if I just didn’t listen properly or if I’m doing something wrong but I really want them to break up 💀
@@Husky0704Gamer The breakups can be a bit hard to mess with. Try going into the mii relationships section, selecting one of the two miis in the drop down menu, finding their lover in the list of their relationships and setting it to “ex”. Make sure you hit save and then restore the save file. If it still corrupts then try an older version of the save editor
everytime i fix things and import it back into the game it says it corrupted and I have to go and fix it again.. is there anyway to fix this or should I just do one thing at a time..? Also do I backup my save data again everytime I go and am going to edit it?

...you pressed the "friend all" button didn't you?/hj In all seriousness this is the exact corruption I meant when talking about the empty mii slots. Your data is corrupting because one of the empty slots is friended to a mii, go into the save editor and set all the empty slots to unknown and it'll fix it!
@@kinzy816well in my personal experience I didn’t have a problem. The miis for me are gay and in a relationship and both use male pronouns and are referred to as husbands, I haven’t made them have a child yet so I don’t know if that’s where it becomes problematic
1. try checkpoint instead of jksm. 2. try a different save editor version 3. is your game up to date? 4. is it the right region? 5. are you putting in the right file? the Tomodachi Life save data is a txt file named savedataArc and you can't change that name/ Hope this helps!

yeah it's very glitchy, my buttons do that too sometimes. With the save data there may be a problem with the save data extractor you're using or the region of your save or your pc. AND THANK YOUUUUUUU!!! My persona is so fun to draw :D
@@xynium. well you can still streetpass people although it’s uncommon now. There are also streetpass save editors you can use as well. Spotpass is shut down now but there has been a lot of archiving done in the hacking community so you can still download them using a modded 3ds!

It should be in the same zip folder you downloaded! If you removed the Tomodachi Editor app from that folder then it may be in the same directory as the app. Also you won't have a backups folder if you've never used the editor before, it'll make one automatically so don't worry!

yeah I mentioned it in the video but just started using it today, new favourite method! My 3ds sd slot is SO finicky so I hate removing it.
also i remembered on the new 3ds models you can access it (microSD data) through the settings and connect to a computer on the same wifi!
This came out at the perfect time, I was just about to start using it haha.

My Tomodachi life save has been getting rusty for awhile; maybe I should play it again
Hey so when loading cheakpoint after getting stuff on save editer it would not let me back it up and no changes where made to my save
and i cant even restore my old save

Click through all the news reports, theres a lot but its not infinite lol. as soon as its over save your data and then you'll never see them again!

no the cartridge will still act like the region it is

No! My pc also doesn't have an sd card slot, just buy an sd usb adaptor on ebay or amazon, they're very cheap!

no you cant force two miis to be gay, it REALLY messes with things. you have to make one of them trans/set to the wrong gender

my save editor isnt letting me load my file :( it keeps saying "invalid save file" and ive tried using luma AND jskm... help
1. try checkpoint instead of jksm.

yeah it's very glitchy, my buttons do that too sometimes. With the save data there may be a problem with the save data extractor you're using or the region of your save or your pc.
