Ai gets a lot of love for being Aqua and Ruby's mom, but I wanted to also give a spotlight to Miyako for trying her best in being a wonderful mom to 2 kids that she's grown to care a lot for. They both deserve praise for everything they've done to help Aqua and Ruby throughout their lives.

Nah because she still spoke with them when they were alone, which means she still remembers two small babies speaking like adults.. unless she just really did think it was her being drunk and blamed the latter conversations with the babies on "early blooming" or something
@@ktostam35 I chalk it up to her thinking it was a dream. Miyako, is and always will be a good person but she got saddle with being the primary caretaker of two children because Ai (who she barely knew at the time) was selfish. So when she had to take care Aqua and Ruby along with her job it put a mental strain on her. Before Aqua and Ruby pretended be Gods, Miyako was sleeping and was woken because Ruby needed her diaper change. So when the twins pretended to be Gods I believe Miyako thought it was her subconscious telling her what she was doing was wrong.

We talk more about Ai for obvious reasons. She was their blood mother, and even though she was afraid her words might be a lie, it was clear that she loved them more than anything else... which made her death that much more tragic. Still, god is it good to see Miyako being acknowledged for the way she stepped up. It's funny in hindsight, considering that she initially considered outing the family for her own benefit, but in the end found herself genuinely considering them to be family, and cared for them as such. She's a strong woman, especially considering that Saitou just up and *vanished* around the same time she took the kids in.
Constantly thinks about them too, she knows both of them have emotional shells that hide what hurts them, meaning she can't be sure if everything is ok. They are lucky they ended up with such a great mom after losing Ai.
He's depressed on what happened and decided to work on his own by finding the main culprit of Ai's murder.
Miyako definitely has shown a LOT of development. And I think it's really wonderful considering where she started.

I think a lot more people talk about ai because she is the face of oshi no ko. Her eyes and design are as captivating as her character.

I love the fact that Miyako treats them as equals and looks at them from an caretaker *and* mentoring standpoint. She never treats them as "dumb kids", but she's there to guide them when needed or to comfort when they need someone to lean on. But nonetheless, she never takes the option to lie to them. Instead, she tells them, like she told Ruby after the rejected phone call, that *that's* reality for you.
And man-... I respect that so much. Even if it's harsh, not everything should be sugarcoated. Because some things can't be sugarcoated.
Miyako is one of the most Underrated onk characters.
Her development is honestly so slept on
What I love about Miyako is how she treats her children differently because she sees their different personalities and different needs. Miyako is more openly supportive of/affectionate with Ruby, because Ruby is more affectionate and childish with her. Aqua is often just as protective of Ruby as Miyako is and sometimes steps into a pseudo-parental role and Miyako lets him not because she's trying to force him into that role...but because she can see that treating him like an adult and accepting his input on these matters/letting him have some control reduces his anxiety. Besides if she didn't accept his scheming, he'd just do it behind her back anyway. But at the same time, if she feels that he's taking on too much or isolating himself more than usual, she's quick to remind him that ultimately, she is his mother and cares about him as one. That she loves him and is proud of him. It's not easy to parent someone like Aqua, who is a lonely, vengeful adult and a traumatized teenager trapped together in one body...but by god does she try.
Reading the side story and further into the manga and learning more about how much Ai’s childhood fucked her up makes her trying her best as a mother hit so much harder

I honestly feel amazing for them Ai and Miyako are amazing moms, we don't know much about doctor goro parents , and we know about Sarina parents , but for what we know, for them the only mothers they , specialy for Sarina , Ai and Miyako are the only mothers they had ever meet.
As a manga reader for subtext these moms that step up are a blessing of a second chance for them

She's not a gold digger. She's a former model that experienced a lot of sh*ts behind entertainment industry. She became part of Strawberry Production because Ichigo saved her from someone, looks like a politician, who wants to use her as a mistress. Ichigo also promised her that he'll show to her the brightest light she'll ever see, talking about the old B Komachi dome concert.
1:51 This is such a beautiful (if brief) scene. Ruby walking like she's expecting to fall with every step is, of course, a legacy of her previous life as a bedridden cancer patient. The whole reason she was so drawn to Ai during her life as Sarina was because Ai was the epitome of everything Sarina desperately wanted to do but was never able to: run, jump, sing, dance, interact with and be adored by crowds of people. At this early stage of her new life as Ruby, all of those same fears are still present until this moment, where it's Ai herself who encourages Ruby and tells her to be confident that she can do all of those things. Ruby is essentially receiving the gift of everything she'd always thought was unattainable for her, from the very person who always epitomized them in Ruby's eyes.
Of course this is also one of the scenes that shows Ai being a good caring mother, and showing the sort of love that she always doubted she was capable of. But it has a deeper impact for Ruby than even Ai could ever have realized, and we see that reflected in Ruby's ironclad determination to become an idol herself. With that context, imagine the level of excitement Ruby had to be feeling when she performed for the first time with the new B Komachi group - she's standing on stage, standing in Ai's shoes, singing the same songs and dancing the same dances that had inspired her but also seemed impossibly unattainable for her in her original life. And it was Ai herself, in this moment here, who first told her to believe it was possible.

What gets me every time is the kids couldn't even attend her funeral... Because of this damn secret. What would it have really done, at that point to say Ai was a mother who died? Strawberry Productions was already in shambles with her death, what was even the point? To keep media off the kids? Ai's death got forgotten with the news.
Perhaps the kid's safety. Since it's "bad" for an idol to have relationships and kids, the fans or bullies would harass them.

Now that you remember me, i wajt to raise an argument, because I'm insecure about: aqua decided to not get breastfeed because he thinks is pervert. I think it was a wrong thought. Afterall he wasn't anymore the professor, but the kid with the memories of the professor. If someone know something more, doesn't mean he must act differently by his age. If a kid discover how kids born, doesn't mean he must act differently. Afyerall what he fears? To get aroused? At 1 year? I know it's impossible before a certain age.
