Of all the weird shit that's in these stories, what tickles me especially isn't any of the mind fuckery or dinosaur shenanigans but the goddamn robot bomb going around a neighbourhood apologizing to the inhabitants for the inconvenience of its upcoming detonation. That's got some incredible comedic potential and it's just a footnote in the last story mentioned.

The beginning of the third story hit a little close to home, since my father is currently dealing with glioblastoma. Did the author of that last story base it on a fever dream? Because a lot of it feels like someone trying to explain a weird dream they had after scarfing down an entire wheel of cheese before bed.
It reads like someone just woke up from the strangest dream they’ve ever had and they absolutely NEED to tell someone about it, not even attempting to hide the grossest and most nonsensical details as they painstakingly describe every second to their friends.

    1. Hmm... I'm trying to think of a place where this could 'connect' to the modern age. But can only think of the yonaguni monument. Which is out by Japan. However idk if at the time Japan would have broken off yet.
    2. The greatest dying sounds interesting. Reminds me of that little tail we found of a dinosaur. Personally I think the metor may have been the final nail in the coffin. From what I recall it was getting to the point of many dinosaurs getting to hyper specialization. So at some point that began to collaspe BEFORE the metor. I can't remember where I heard this theory.
    3. Reminds me of an Adrien Brody movie called the Jacket. Same sort of premise. I think the implication is that this guy BECOMES the first spark of life.
    4. ..... Chuck Tingle is that you? This definitely sounds like Chuck Tingle.

I think The Feynman Saltation is supposed to be a bit philosophical about the nature of cancer and humanity. Cancer is just a cell glitching out and being unable to stop reproducing, which is usually a good thing. Cells reproducing is literally what we call life, but as life became more complex this itself became an issue as cells became specialized within larger organisms and thus their excess reproduction took away from other parts of the body. Like cancer, chemotherapy is indiscriminate, you are basically just poisoning yourself hoping it will kill the cancer and not you. I think it's pretty obvious we're supposed to see his journey through time as a "return to roots" to the most primitive and natural form life can take, which is how cancer operates. His hallucinations/dreams start from the chemo chip (which I presume is supposed to not be working right) because the chemo is killing him too, even if it temporarily rid him of the tumor. I don't know if he necessarily meant it but I think he unintentionally wrote a story that kinda implies cancer treatment is just as vicious as the cancer itself and also just wanted to discuss something he was interested in. Idk, this is how I interpret it as someone who also is into dinosaurs, evolution and went through a cancer research phase too.

@MrArgus11111 So you get mad that a story written to not make sense doesn't make sense, then when someone points out that you're overreacting, you get more defensive than a prepper in the 50s and project your rage onto someone who expressed only exasperation at a comment made in bad faith that bashes a story for achieving its literary goal. I'm sorry that my first comment to you was interpreted as a slight against your entire bloodline, I genuinely only meant to be a little scamp and pick on a something with obviously no goal but to be unnecessarily mean about something the commenter( it is becoming more more apparent) missed the point of, but now you're not only a massive hypocrite, but also someone who refuses to actually own up to their own words. I'm aware that this interaction has no real impact on either of our lives, I had several more important things to do before i could respond with this, but your words have sparked a feeling in me that I rarely feel. An unapologetic, irrational, consequence free retaliatory anger. Not a "hulk smash style rage" but an irritating burn in the back of my mind. I almost want to thank you for this rare feeling, but I also don't want to give you that. This will undoubtedly have such little impact on our lives that I probably won't even remember that this happened a few days from now, but it felt important that I put this all down here, I don't know why. I don't even know if I expect you to read all of this, but if you do congrats, you spent all this time reading a self-important, long-winded way of saying " c'mon man, thats such an overreaction that it makes dynamite look tame by comparison."
