Perfection, even against huge players with very old and "has been" technics... the speed, low setting and hit in 2nd is the new ways of beach volleyball. SWE represent everything new in this sport.
This is where other teams coaching staff are to be blamed.. Lack of vision and willingness to evolve... Razzie and team at Sweden are so humble and willing and not forgetting open minded.. But respect to everyone out there doing their best and all the best in the Olympics
The swedish young Guns Jacob and Elmer won the U22 European championship today. They are 18 and 19 years old. Same style as Ahman/Hellvig and train a lot with them.
It has been tried and tested by previous teams, but never to such an extreme, never with this level of skill and athleticism, and never at such a young age.
Simply the best. After Paris, it will be interesting to see whether new, young teams appear on the scene that copy the blueprint of Åhman/Hellvig's playing style. Pfretzschner/Winter have the makings of one such team, though as of yet not on the same level, of course. Still, they had a strong showing in Ostrava, beating Andre/George and narrowly losing to Boermans and de Groot.
On the top of beach volleyball i would expect countries like Brazil, USA, Spain perhaps instead of Nordic nations, Germany, Netherlands. How it works? Do they train indoors?

Unstoppable. They lost what, one set in the entire tournament? Insane.
Hellvig is a beast at the net

Esses garotos são extraordinários!
Próximos campeões olimpicos!!!
Reinventaram o volei de praia e hoje são os melhores do mundo!
This level of domination is reminiscent of Mol and Sorum when they were young. Hope nothing but continued success for these two! GO SWEDEN!!
Hellvig was massive at the net this game
L'ultimo punto della partita: semplicemente sublime.
Sweden is such a revolution. I have never seen volley like that.

Супер
I never understood the rule of second touch in beach volleyball. Sometime i see that players just throw ball into the enemies field.
Why the thumbnail says pool play?? 🤦🏻
Simply UNPLAYABLE
@rosscreations plays for Netherlands ?
Legend says David Ahman got blocked by Chuck Norris once before the Earth was born.
Boermans: diago, diago, diago...diago! Hellvig...Blocks!!

I think there should be more players playing, like 3 on 3 or 4 on 4
🇸🇪🤓🏐🤓🇸🇪
can they even lose?
This is just becoming silly at this point...
