Sincere condolences to Bob, his family and friends. I truly enjoyed seeing him in his episode with the other cracker box. Growing up in Canton Ohio area there were a ton of cracker boxes hauling the likes of coal and steel with that distinct Detroit 2 stroke power plant.
My dad had a 69 Transtar when I was a kid. 250 Cummins, Roadranger transmission. I remember we stopped and he got a cup of coffee. He handed it to me to hold while he drove. We were bobtailing, half the coffee ended up in the floor and on me. I always loved the Transtars.
Wow, Dane...a "Corn Binder"!! When was the last time I heard that expression??!! How cool is that!! Absolutely loved the interior shots of that classic truck. I was "crazy" about those trucks as a kid...now I (finally) got to see what's "inside the box"!!! Thank you so much, my friend. 👌👌👍👍
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Good morning brother! Thanks for the tribute to Bob! I so enjoyed meeting him last year & I loved his Crackerbox! I always encourage people to share their hearts/appreciation to those in their circles for you never know when you get to see them again. I loved hearing his story of the truck! Your KW is coming along. I think they changed that hole on the back of the cab a bit over the years. It never struck me before now. Did you ever notice that? I hope that you go ahead with the arrow design on the side/back of your cab. It doesn’t have to run onto the front of the cab. You can make it work. That Transtar 2 is quite a nice looking truck. Someone will get a nice red top Cummins IH & be proud of it! They were really nice trucks. Just goes to show you that you never know what may be out there each time you travel. Blessings my friend. 🥰🤩✌️
Yes your right Paul, it’s sad to see how many we have lost in the 10 years I’ve going to the shows. 😟 Ya I’m leaning towards the movin on “theme Truck” on this one. That Transtar will be a prize for someone for sure.
My Transtar 2 had a 10 speed and a 350 Cummins , Hendrickson suspension. No Jakes. The interior had the exact same carpet. My dash was flat black. AC, power window on the passenger side. Moto mirrors on both sides. Heated of course! I had 3 amber chicken lights on each side and the mirrors had lights ( factory) on the front of them. There were soooo many variations on the Transtar tractors. Thanks again for the great coffee and a chance to remember the time before! Keep growing up Grasshopper! God bless and safe travels!
Man oh man Dane you have the knack for that stuff.👍 Smith Pies had a fleet of those old Transtars, they all had 350 Cummins with a 13 speed transmission, I remember them as a kid back in the late 60's early 70's.
Good job everyone at the truckers lounge keep the hammer down hope to see more old school trucks running from the truckers lounge take care and God bless all of you at the truckers lounge
Grasshopper is looking great!!!!!!! That's a good looking transtar will clean up good keep up the great work Dane have something going to Send you think you'll enjoy 😊😊😊😊
Very moving and heartfelt tribute to Bob…we’re losing so many, so soon of our greatest generation. But that heavenly family reunion is getting sweeter and sweeter with our every loss…
R.I.P. to BOB and Condolences to the Family, Dane ole Grasshopper is really taking Shape , love what your doing with the rattle cans and look at that "" Bling "" on those steer axle wheels NICE !! , Sharp Transtar, either that truck was well taken care of or a Restoration had been started at some point but that chassie is CLEAN !! as always Dane thanks for the weekly update and to repeat SAFE TRAVELS ALWAYS 👍👍👍👍
Awesome job on the Grasshopper, every single time I watch your videos you hit on something that jogs my memory. That Transtar was just like the one I drove to deliver storage trailers to the original Woodstock. Detriot with a thirteen speed. Thanks Dane.👍👍
Love the old Transtars and Astro cabovers, drove them for a North American mover in W. PA. The Transtar would fly down the highway getting 2 mpg, yes 2. LOL. I was boogying down the highway. Another driver on the CB said, do you realize that bed bug trailer is top heavy... LOL, yep I slowed down. Memories
All thoughts and Prayers & condolences to the family of Bob who has passed away! I certainly hope that you all continue having & sharing all the wonderful moments & memories of Bob, including all the love and happiness Bob brought to your lives!
I couldn't have said it better Terry Bob was an awesome guy love that ASTRO and the transtar 2 trucks Dane we have a lot of stuff to look forward to this year keep us updated with your videos your friends from Minnesota
R.I.P. to Bob, and condolences to his family and friends. I have a soft spot for old Transtar II/4070B’s…the example for sale isn’t a bad one, could make for a good hobby truck. A set of Jakes for it would be sweet! “Grasshopper” is coming right along…..for a rattlecan painjob, it looks fantastic! Got a date set for the rear “cutoff” swap?
Sorry to hear about your friend. My father drove a transtar cabover for freezer queen foods out of buffalo NY back in the mid 70,s ever since i have loved the old cornbinders! I would love to get the one that's for sale but im sure it will go to a good home.
Hello Dane, Doing a great job on Grasshopper! As for the TV show "Moving On " . A fact , the first season the K900 had a Cummins V8 903, with a 13 speed. The 2nd season had an NTC 350 with a 10 speed. Why the change is beyond me. For just using a spray can that paint job looks great. Good luck to you Sir. That Transtar must have been an Eagle , to have the wood grain dashboard, most were plain black. Plus the padding in the bunk. If not an Eagle, definitely a step up from the stripped models most companies would use.
Transtars were everywhere when I was a kid ... still think they are one of the most attractive trucks out there 😊 Movin-On .... great vintage series FYI ...currently streaming On Tubi TV ... Tubi is free
Hey driver! Love your shirt when video first starts, all glory to God! I saw the chrome simulators you told me about! Looks really good on the front! Also killer music while painting, you can't make the videos fast enough, really look forward to every video no matter how long or short. Truck coming along great I think! Keep up the great work and videos, it gets me through the hard times I'm going through. Thanks pal , 10-4 driver im gone

Sincere condolences to Bob, his family and friends. I truly enjoyed seeing him in his episode with the other cracker box. Growing up in Canton Ohio area there were a ton of cracker boxes hauling the likes of coal and steel with that distinct Detroit 2 stroke power plant.

Me too! 😬👍
Foo can paint?
a guy here in PA built a replica of the Moving ON truck he usualyl brings it to Mcungie.
Pretty sure I know the truck, he’s been to Ashland and the DBD Show in Columbiana as well.
Do you or anyone know of any truck shows in the South? Tennessee or Mississippi possibly.
Check out the ATHS website and ask, I’m sure they can guide you. 😬😬
I drove a 75 transtar with a 318 with a 13 speed drove it between Toronto and montreal
RIP old buddy 😢
You forgot the Mcungie truck show June 14th,15th which is the weekend after the York show.
No problem I need a flyer please 👍
I think too much detail like the arrow shapes would be detrimental to the look of the K100. But it's not mine!!
RIP Bob
My mother wrecked a old international just like that one 😊
Hope she didn’t get hurt? 😮
