As long as the owners love it … that’s all that really matters. With that being said … it think ultra luxury/luxurious design is not as easy as it looks to execute. At this level … putting costs aside … the line between tacky and stylish is quite thin. For Reno’s not in the ultra Lux category …The safest I believe is mid century modern/post modern design and transitional. Forget about scandi…if one is not skilful enough … end up looking like ikea … which most sg homes who attempt this style end up looking like. Don’t get me wrong … hiend mid century modern can be high cost too… Eg … an armchair can cost $15 to $20k. Having gone a home reno for the first time this year… this is what I’ve learnt from some research. Got big bucks? Take a look at the design of hotel W at Sentosa and ritz Carlton. I’m sure there are many others. One example and style I’ve come across which I find superb in the big bucks category is Sophie Paterson… a designer from the UK who has a channel on TH-cam. She’s amazing.

Isn’t the correct term to use a PENTHOUSE? Does the channel editor even know what a duplex is?? What a bunch of amateurs. If not from this line of work don’t go and make such videos lah
If you didn't know, there are many high end condominiums in Singapore that are duplexes. If a condominium unit has 2 storeys, it is not necessarily a penthouse. Penthouse units are on the top floor of the building. This unit is not on the top floor of the building. Hope this educates you and saves you from an embarrassing conversation
