Plz correct, punto dosent have swift engine, Its swift who get punto engine. Still punto has original multijet engine with original ECU with italian gear box, which swift dosent

Swift engine is 75 bhp and punto is having 90bhp engine and make it in your mind that car makers like Tata,Maruthi, MG Motor they all use Fiat engines. Please check the difference between Harrier, Hector engine and Compass. The quality of Compass is better than other 2 vehicles.

It been 7 yrs I hv been driving punto diesel. Never disappointed. I hv touched 140 km/hr. Still sturdy . No Big costs. As far I know , whoever owns punto are rarely selling even after using for 2 lakhs.
My 2011 Fiat Punto runs like its new. Just travelled from Bhubaneswar to Kochi last month a distance of 2000 kms. No issue. Traveled at 120km/hr.

The first time I saw the Punto was in NFS most wanted. It was the car I picked and I've always loved it ever since. Was a kid back then, now I can actually afford to purchase one but they don't sell it anymore.. I keep browsing olx for one in good condition but they're so hard to come by.. (Probably the owners love it too much to sell it away.)
If you fell in love with it from NFS then you should search for Abarth punto 145 hp and 212 nm torque in stock tune. Maybe you'll remap it and take to stage 2 or 3...it'll be sooo crazy
Maybe try asking in one of Fiat's dealerships. I bought a used Evo (mileage around 1.2lakh km) thanks to my town's dealership as I couldn't find it anywhere else. People who own a Punto won't usually sell it off as it is that good of a car.
Also, if you are going for a used model, make sure to check if the compression is proper (especially if it's a diesel and the car has more than 1lakh km on the odometer)...
However, it's worth buying for as a used car because you get a much more refined engine (since it has run for quite a while) and if you're not too space-conscious and have the money than just go ahead and buy it.

That's actually there teams fault who didn't studied indian market well in India .. every 3-4 years a car gets facelift in India .. whereas these companies didn't updated there stock .. fiat Punto running same from 2002 no update at all ..... Chevy Cruze sold in good amount but didn't get the facelift .... Some companies fail due to service ... Like Chevrolet and jeep services are too expensive and there service takes too much time and no service centre in small cities ...

Cheaper than fiat Punto in terms of maintenance and service cost. Parts availability is superb and mahindra service is also good.

@@RahulJain-fy2cz My Punto use to cost me around 15-18k per service after first 3 services. Whereas, XUV costs me between 8-15k and so far I have got 5 services done. Punto is a damn good car it's just fiat miserably failed in India in terms of after sales service.

I used Fiat Punto for 3 years and believe me guys its just an amazing car. I still regret selling it.
@stunning pratik it used to cost me Rs 4-5 k for servicing which is equivalent to any other hatchback maintenance. The only issue is finding a part which need to be replaced. Parts are not easily available in market and need to buy from authorized dealers only.
