You're absolutely correct. when I first heard him I knew right away he was going to be a grey-star. I could not believe my ears that is singer after so many years what come along and knocked me straight into heaven. Dimash let's gifted just like Elvis Presley Michael Jackson now him. Those who do not understand what they just heard alright stupid people with no education. Yes, 3 years ago a 22 year old young man from Kazakhstan, sang a French song ( from the French Rock Opera "Starmania") to a Chinese audience that had never heard him before...and the rest is musical history...Please go to his Official TH-cam channel...and take your pick...no copyright problems there....and his voice continues to mature..he is now 25...A Master composer "Igor Krutoy" has come out of retirement to compose for him....Believe me, you haven't seen anything yet...You might want to invest in a seat belt...you just might need it....

Syd, Dimash is really a big male voice in the current song. As a young man, he suffered prejudice and criticism over his soprano voice in Kazakhstan contests. He declined the invitation to be an opera singer, devoted himself to his three voices, mixing classic with pop, rap, ballads and it worked. Made the best choice. The 3 voices make it different, unique, rare. The music just won, with these great voices from Dimash. Hugs BRAZIL.

Thank you. Yes, you are right, and, to your point; Dimash was severely critiqued in his early years. It was suggested to him that his type of singing did not have an audience appeal. He persevered, continued to study, perform and to improve his Art of performing. He proved them wrong.

I am another one who loves your reaction and facial expressions. You are very enjoyable to watch and your advice is perfect. Dimash will be the first to tell you that the voice/talent comes from the creator. but the development comes from hard work. Dimash started studying music when he was 5 yrs old and has not stopped learning and practicing since/ He is extremely serious about his music and last year graduated from university in a degree in music. Dimash also comes from a musical family. Both parents are professional singers and his mother is a soprano opera singer. Dimash is music

Yes indeed, but first he completed a Broadway Musical master class in 2009, then he graduated from University in Classical Music (2014) and began his studies in contemporary music, (Jazz, Pop) graduated in 2018 with Major in Vocal. Now he is taking his Masters in Composing. I've never met someone before, who is such educated in Music. So he is taking his craft very seriously. God bless him!

To add from your comments about doing the style you want and don't bother what other people think, I saw a video of young Dimash he was 17 at a competition show and the judges were discouraging him to sing the way he does with these very high notes, he thanked them but pursue his way of singing . He did not let them thrOw shade at him and see where he is now, makes me love and respect him more than ever.
I just found Dimash a couple of weeks ago and have been listen to and watching him frequently. I can't understand a word he sings but he never ceases to amaze me. I think that says how universal music can be. Best regards, Steve

The word that always come to mind when I see people reacting to Dimash is dumbfounded. It's like a cross between confused and amazed and i love it. As i understand it there is a word for his style of singing he's a counter-tenor. he's literally a duet between a female soprano and a male tenor in one body. It's not human really 😂

Now that I've finished watching your reaction fully, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for saying some very important things. So many people when they react to Dimash, they want to refer to him as an angel, as an alien, etc... exclaiming "He's not human!" and "This isn't trained. You can't learn this." etc. And as singers, both you and I know that's not true (I was classically trained for 8 yrs in my youth). This kid worked for 20 yrs of his life to get this good. Yes, he was born with talent and longer vocal cords than normal. He was born into a family famous for singing who had enough money to get him the very best teachers. But at the end of the day, it's Dimash's love and dedication to his art that made him this good. You aren't born singing like this. Nobody is. This work took hundreds, possibly thousands, of hours of extremely focused work to accomplish. So thank you so much for speaking of this in human terms and giving him credit for hard work.
--- BTW, he was on an American talent show, The World's Best, earlier this year but please don't react to it. They treated him horribly and they did not act in good faith (and I will not have anything to do with RuPaul ever again for his behavior). So we Dears have decided collectively not to support any of it. But obviously it's completely up to you what you decide to do.

During Singer 2017 Dimash performed 13 times, 5 in English & 8 in other languages. For almost all of the non English you can find stories & performance with subtitles on the channel Gloria Wu. Be sure to include the story for Autumn Strong & Daybreak. Both songs are very emotional though you might not cry like I ALWAYS do.

Great Reaction! As a Senior Dear that has followed Dimash since 2017 I have kept a small journal on his progress. Here are a few facts about my Di I have picked up just watching the specials on him & his family. From the moment Dimash was born, he was exposed to people and things related to music. He grew up listening to Kazakh lullabies. So, from a young age, he has been exposed to music. He graduated from the National Art University of Kazakhstan & continues his education. His Mother Sveta, is an Opera Singer, & Father, Kanat is also a singer-songwriter producer & his Manager. Dimash plays Instruments: Dombra, piano, drums, guitar, xylophone, cello, vocals (all). His vocal range is 6 octaves + Notes: C2 to D8, spanning from the baritone to soprano and whistle registers. Dimash has performed songs in twelve different languages, his native language Kazakh , Russian, Mandarin, English, French, Italian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, German, and Spanish. His formal name is Dinmukhamed Kanatuly Kudaıbergen

When he appeared on this Chinese show, "The Singer in 2017, he was there by invitation because he had won a couple Asian music awards, hence the invitation to participate. He was the only non-Chinese, non professional singer there, and the youngest. You can tell by the other participants they were floored by his musical ability, by the big WOW at his performance. He was by himself-no family, only a translator for the Mandarin language to be able to speak to them & the musicians. They were not impressed at first, then when he, drew on his strength, I believe, he showed them what he wanted musically & he did that. The reactions from the backstage participants, was WOW! they weren't expecting what they received. AT the end of the 10- week episode & the official judges, not the 500 audience judges made their decision. He took 2nd place. This was a competition in China they have the best singers from around their country and a outsider which was Dimash this was the first anyone outside of Kazakhstan had really heard him you can see by their reactions, this competition set him on the road to stardom. His singing teacher had him sing girl and boy parts because I heard there wasn’t many girls hence his range also he would swim under water holding his breath so he could hold the notes longer. He is by far the best singer in the world probably ever.l saw him live in London a year ago and he has gone from strength to strength amazing. It would be good if you reacted to this competition first then you can see how he improves his English gets so much better as well. I am glad you like him . Oh your subscriptions will definitely go up

dimash does a cover of Lionel Richies HELLO. just as amazing. I listen or watch dimash everyday without fail and have been ever since i started watching on TH-cam about 18 months ago. no one else compares
Dimash is a wonder that is for certain. When it feels depressing to think about his astonishing octave range, I put on some Billie Holiday and remember you can be one of the greats and have a narrow range. It's not just what you have, it is what you do with it that matters.

Yes, you are on point as always. He has a godgiven talent that he has taken good care of since he was 5 years old worning very hard to achieve that technique. And Dimash loves different styles pf music and always appreciate other singers and musicians. Never saya anything bad of someone else. He is raised well, he has dreamed of being on stage forever, yet he frequently says, "we are here to be humans first of all, one day I have to step down from the stage and that day I want to be able too look my fans in the eyes". He is such a role model compared to many singers seeking fame and becoming divas. All americans who may go to Dimash concert in NY dec 10th are so in for an amazing experience! This song was the first performance on the 2017 Chinese show called "The Singer" and it's in French. He was the youngest performer at 22 and he came in second place.
