Thank you for sharing, Mr. Scharff. Can you give me some tips on answering "tell me about yourself" that is typically asked during the initial interview process?

Okay... there is a fine line... you don't want to have 50 questions and ask them all as the interviewers probably don't have time for that and have another interviewee waiting. However, you should ask a few. If you only asked a few and they made this comment - I'd say this may not be a place I'd want to work. Remember, the interview process is a two way street... you should be looking for a good fit for you (just as they are trying to find a good fit for them).

Really. I'd say it probably is a warning sign that you don't want to work there...

I ask the interviewer one time why he chose to work with the company I chose and he got mad. He blurted out an answer and said cause I need the money and I'm about to retire. Then when he got done he said you don't ask the interviewer questions like your interviewer in them. I apologize only because I was trying to get the job but I said that to say not every body go for critical questions. I didn't get the job but I did wanted to report him. He was very unprofessional . It's not fair that people like him get to hold positions with nasty attitudes.

what is the perfect answer for tell us about your background and experience?

I've not been asked this or asked this as it is generally on your resume... I would just go through the jobs you've had... They may be asking just as an easy ice breaker to get you comfortable and it allows them to see if you have good communications skills.

GOOD advice! Too many teenage guys / young guys do NOT wash their armpits EVERY DAY ...... and thus smell HORRIBLE. PLEASE make a video underlining that they must NEVER go to an interview with an odor of SWEAT emerging from their armpits or feet?
