Something satisfying about watching any solder paste melt, go into motion, and finally settle into place. It is a magical journey I enjoy each time I pull out the hot air. 😀
Sorin is going from funny uncle Sorin to business uncle Sorin.
Which makes him (at least for me) less interesting...
@@ruudvansteenis Like others the only thing he thinks since the beginning is cash, money........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Poor world!
@@sergelavallee7331 🤡 Yup thats why you see him posting methods and videos on his diagnostics for free, sharing hinge repair method and hard laptop board reoairs a lot of people dont like to show.
You're more than welcome to work for free if you want. Sorin monetizing his channel is perfectly acceptable and welcome by his fans and learners who have gotten knowledge for free and made money from watching him.
@@sergelavallee7331Are you surprised?

Good job Sorin i am sure one of the competitors will be envy about the product to prove his products are best in the market.
The guy you talking about doesn't stop to mention that his chinese product that you can literally find for 10% the price on Aliexpress are the best products... I unsubscribed to his channel ages ago because of that
Anyway I trust sorin more
@@TzviHershtik Are you talking about that tard of NorthridgeFix? I did the same, but in my case, was when he promoted his "own designed" overpriced microscope camera, that is the same one that everybody can find on aliexpress for half the price.

Your eBay description needs to be amended. 140° low melt solder is *not* a general purpose solder. Low melt soldier is used as an aid to help removing difficult (to remove) components. Low melt solder is much more brittle standard leaded solder.
There are different types of LMS, it's application dependent on the alloy's chemistry.
That said Sorin should provide a SDS disclosing it's composition. It's actually required by law for transport/shipping.
The description shows it’s a lower temperature all purposes solder , not the lower temp one used in removal of components.
Also seems to have amtek 539 as well lol.
@@SerenoOunceat 2:52 , the composition is being told.
@@SerenoOunce The Alloy is SnBi. Don't know the ratio.
Many of you commenting about this being unsuitable for soldering are confusing it with Indium-based low-melt soldering sticks used for desoldering work or very specialized work such as soldering to gold or bonding to ceramics. Sorin's solder paste is a tin/bismuth mix with a higher bismuth ratio to lower the melting temp. It is not brittle like Indium alloys.
Solder paste is used on virtually every commercial PCB with SMD components. The paste is applied to the PCB pads using a stencil, the PCB passes through a pick-and-place machine to drop components on the pads, and then it's wave soldered in an oven. So virtually every consumer electronic devices uses this type of solder. Solder paste is available in different temperature categories depending on the usage parameters, but this low-melt paste is not going to be a problem for general purpose electronics repairs.
My only concern with using this for general purpose soldering would be in a high-heat area where temps could get close to the melting point and weaken the solder joint. Not likely to happen in most laptop or household electronics, but something to keep in mind.
It is still very brittle. There was interest in Bi alloys many years ago. They were extensively investigated and simply have not caught on in spite of the potential energy savings and higher throughput of reflow lines.

Isn't most production done with a solder paste alloy like SAC305?
@@soundspark Indeed, SAC alloys in paste form is specifically what's used to manufacture electronics. Often lower grade ones though with less silver for cost reasons, silver is expensive. Bismuth is quite inexpensive but it doesn't result in ideal properties.
The tensile strength of this low melt solder is lower than regular laeded solder. Don't use this on connectors or other components that are regularly stressed.
It works well though if you mix it with regular solder to lower the melting temperature on components with a heavy ground plane. (you need less temperature to remove the component), although I would recommend low temperature Indium solder wire for that...
A more malable solder joint were heat makes the board flex ( BGA ) is preferable a little give is better than a hard solder joint ..................
Oh that's a nice soldering paste.
But stay away from combining it with lead. This will lower the melting point to ~90° and maybe result in a more or less a proper calibrated self desoldering fuse.
SorinsRosin@140°C/220°C, Brightly shown again, Excellent Sorin!
Uncle Sorin wish you all the best and thank you for all the bulk info you give for free
IT IS DREAM CAME TRUE....THANKS
Low melt solder is brittle and not recommended for soldering components, but it is useful for desoldering ports and sockets.
That depends on solder melting temperatures. You' would never use 47°C solder for permanent joint of course, that stuff is only for desoldering (and even in that application I personally hate it because I spent more time on cleaning than anything else). 140-160 degrees is fine for most things even as permanent solution (I would still stick to standard stuff wherever I can)
Great stuff Sorin, are you going to sell your special calibrated fuses ? 🤣🤣🤣
You beat me ... I wanted to ask the same thing .... "proper calibrated fuse"🤣🤣 by Sorin ....
Just beautiful to watch. Satisfying 🌠
Music in sorin's video !! Sir , YES Sirr.
I soldered an hdmi port with low melt before and had it return to me because the connection was quite brittle. Could you do a test to confirm mechanical strength for power/hdmi ports?
It will be brittle. Not good for connectors.
I use the bismuth based solder paste for my project SMD boards. Fine for low power and profile components. But SMD caps can get bumped off easily. OK for an internal ribbon header but not for I/O ports.
Hdmi ports is 183 paste never lower like 138 or 140
Great idea Sorin keep up the good hard work
Very good video ! go on Sorin , you're the best !👍 'thanks for all knowledge given .
C'est impeccable
Good for you Sorin
thanks Sorin
i find it beautiful at magical
Very nice to see it working, pls send me the direct link to place my order.
Sorin's ASMR channel. There's got to be a way to get these products to the U.S. cheaply :/
That's some good shit.
owww sorin is shy to present the product personally lol, congrats mate hope u full success.
SO SATISFYING WATCHING THE SOLDER PASTE MELTS LIKE HOT CHOCOLATE 🤣
Next level!! Bravo! Dar ce facem cu condensatori??? Glumesc :) Te urmăresc cu drag!
Still waiting for 'Sorin's hotglue sticks' (Extra strong) 🙂
If you watch any of the "free electricity" videos you'll see that hotmelt glue is a virtual necessity to making a generator that will yield 100 kW from 20 W of input.
Amazing, I cant wait to make a purchase! i see they look like not delivering to Serbia so I will look for someone of friends from Croatia or somehow to get 1 paste and 1 rosin flux 70 gram pack to use on the bench :)
This is ART
You can lower the melting point using this? how does that work? what kind of magic is involved
Nice!!! Ill have to get some stuff for the shop!!!
It is very solder pad friendly. I have yosida Sn42Bi58.
proper nice solder paste sir! :)
Beautiful

how to use when connecting wires to LED strip?
😊 impressive 😊😊
ok But Fail to CUT VIDEO AL NO SHOW REAL TIME. the low temperature in the Station or correct ect.
magic😃
Sountrack?
that's crazy!
Hello🤝Good stuff 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👋👋👋👋👋
Is it lead-free?
Should be. "Tin/bismuth, tin/indium, or tin/bismuth/silver are the most common “low melting point” solders (150-170° C)."
Make more please.
Can I ask made from where. We need quarantine if the product meet the standard
What standard? What for?
@@propinki I mean it gives good quality for boards
It is not useful as a general purpose solder because it is brittle and the joints break mechanically quite easily. It is mostly sold (by many companies) as an aid to removal of SM parts for those without high-end equipment.
Share the link for that instrumental please, that is 🔥 fire
Unfortunately, this seller won't send this item to Komárom-Esztergom Vármegye, Hungary. :(
Are we starting ASMR now. You need a longer format for that.
when you getting more stock
"May not post to Brazil. Read item description or contact seller for postage options." 😪
LOL Brand
Low melt good to desolder, dont use it to solder
