In 2021, my wife and I went to a concert where a Messianic Jew would be performing his songs. It was held in a church that when I entered it I thought it was odd. The lady pastor there said something about the Torah that to me was a red flag that this was no ordinary congregation. She said to the people there that we should pray to bless the Torah. When I arrived home I searched TH-cam to find a teaching on what I had heard there. Praise Yahweh God I found your channel and after watching a few videos on Torahism I now know it's leading people away from Yeshua. Thank you brother Solberg!

That's ironic because I always felt entrapped with the Baptist doctrines. When I realized that Jesus kept the law and said he wasn't done away with it, it opened my eyes more. I was happy to take on the 7th day adventist doctrines, except keeping the lunar sabbath, the true calendar of the sky. I was always rejected by people in the Sunday church and/or technology world and I knew it had something to do with how Jesus was rejected. I don't think that someone could understand if they were simply raised in a church, because it takes personal decisions to learn how to become personally rejected. It doesn't seem like something you can just teach someone.

@@TimJSwan Seventh Day Adventists believe in an Investigative Judgment. This happened when William Millers false predictions of Jesus return in 1844 didn’t happen. They said that instead of Jesus being seated at Gods right hand in heaven that he is up there judging everyone. Every one is on a “probation”.
SDA believe that once they are “saved” they have to keep the Ten Commandments in order to retain salvation. They are on probation because Jesus is in heaven doing this judgement and so they can’t be sure of their saved status.
SDA believe in soul sleep. They lie and tell people that Jesus kept the law and showed us that perfect law keeping is possible. He came to FULFILL the law because man was unable to keep it perfectly. Remember in the Old Testament how if you broke it you broke it ALL?
This religion preached a different gospel. They are accursed Galatians chapter 1.

My thumbnail is from a book I wrote defending Torah observance but with the correct perspective. Believe it or not, there are some really good Torah teachers that understand we put NO confidence in Torah observance, there is NO salvation found in the law, and following the law does not lead to any kind of righteousness of our own. First, we must understand that the law is God's rigtheousness NOT ours as stated in Ps. 119:172. The use of Phil. 3 is 100% correct. Paul, who was once a Pharisee of Pharisees, now realizes that all that he was doing by being obedient to the law, and following all the rabbinic teachings meant nothing. Why? Because he still fell short! The law is NOT the problem! The problem is our fallen natures!! It is our inablility to walk out God's righteousness perfectly, and that is what you are trying to do when you are keeping the law without Christ!!! The law is merciless. It can only tell you what to do, it shows you God's righteousness, but it is powerless to make you obey it. All the law can do is tell you what sin is. That is why the letter kills. The wages of sin(or law breaking) is death. So, you have a major problem if you are going to attempt to walk out the law in your fallen state. Why? Because the very law you are going to walk out requires perfection and in your fallen state that is impossible, and now the very law you were attempting to keep, condemns you to death.
Now here is the true gospel message. God did something about the problem, which is our fallen nature, NOT his righteous laws! Christianity as a whole is missing this VERY important part. God's law is NOT the problem!! Throughout the bible you will not read anywhere that God's law is this burdensome thing that we keep for our salvation. NO! Salvation was never offered through law keeping. The true gospel is that God clothed His word in flesh, and this flesh walked out His righteous laws perfectly. The enemy thought he won when he crucified Him, but the grave could not hold Him, since He was without sin, it HAD to release Him! The enemy put a righteous man to death and since He was without sin, He was raised to life! This perfect man became our Messiah! And through Him, He will put His spirit in me and change me. I come to him in disobedience, but He puts His spirit in me and that spirit leads me into all truth. Truth, according to Ps. 119: 142, and 151 is His commandments and His law! NOW, he writes His righteous laws on my heart and changes my desire to WANT to obey out of love, NOT salvation! Grace is given as I learn to walk out God's righteousness, which is His law! You don't need grace if you are not going to walk in obedience. In fact, grace is ONLY given to those who are remembering His commandments and to do them according to Ps. 103:17,18.
I will admit, there are some very heretical teachings within the HRM. In fact, I really dislike that term because their views are all over the place. The good Torah teachers understand that we are in a NEW Covenant, not renewed. We are under no delusions that there ARE changes in the law, out of necessity, with the change of the priesthood. We are NOT under the Levitical laws, we are under a new order of High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. We are not looking forward to the temple being built and going there to make sacrifices as we believe our Messiah paid the price for sacrifices ONCE for ALL!! We follow the law, through our Messiah who is writing the law on our hearts and we WANT to walk in obedience because we love Him. God has always wanted obedience from His children, but out of love, NOT for salvation!! I will never understand how obedience is now a bad thing, and that if I desire to walk in obedience, I am somehow giving up grace. That makes NO sense. God is the one who is changing me, He gets all the credit, and all the glory. I cannot boast in the law, my boast is in Him, who is changing me from someone who did not want to walk in obedience to someone who does! That is really what Paul is talking about in Phil. 3. He gets it! He cannot boast in his own righteousness, he only glolifies only in his Messiah!
Our minds are at enmity against God and are not subject to His law. But through the risen Christ, I obey through His spirit and when I make mistakes, His grace covers me. Grace and law go together, they are NOT mutually exclusive from one another. This, "the law is done away with now," mentality is killing the church. Everyone is doing what is right in their own sight because without the law, there is nothing to define sin! We have this hyper grace where there is NO conviction of sin. Without that conviction, there is no fear and without fear there is lawlessness. This is why pastors are accepting homosexuals into their congregations and some churches even follow gay pastors. The law is needed, the law is perfect, converting the soul(Ps. 9:7.) It cannot convert any soul if we continue to teach that it has been done away with. Please reconsider this very flawed doctrine of the law is done away with and we now follow the law of Christ, which is simply defined as love God and love your neighbor as yourself. There is so much more to accepting Christ as your savior. Biblical faith is beliving in Chist and allowing Him to lead you into obedience to His Father's righteous laws. Something perfect is NOT a burden and could not possibly be done away with! Our flesh is the problem, NOT God's righteous laws, so stop making them the problem!!

You are definitely the problem. The Mosaic law was a temporary law for escaped Hebrew slaves, an exclusive group of humans- so there is one problem right there; the law was not universal. Here’s the writer of Hebrews proving you are wrong- ouch, being wrong must really hurt your huge ego. “ Now if perfection were attainable through the Levitical priesthood ( for through it the people received the law), what need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than the order of Aaron? For when the priesthood is changed the law is necessarily changed as well.” Hebrews 7:11-12. The Mosaic law was unable to perfect a person. It was an indictment against rebellious Hebrews. It was weak, useless, and became obsolete. The entire Jewish system was temporary. You have been captured and bewitched. I get it- you want to be a Jew. Jews are going to eternal hell.

@@rayray4192 I like to use scripture to defend what I believe as much as possible. All you did was tell me what you believe and what is in your heart.
Obey like a dog?? Where does the bible ever say we obey like dogs? Obedience, everywhere in scripture is tied to blessings, so I don't know where you are coming from. I do NOT believe that we obey for any kind of righteousness of our own, I don't think it earns us any kind of merit, and it affords me absolutely nothing unless I have Christ. You see, the obedience comes in when I place my faith in Christ. He places His Spirit in me and this changes me. His Spirit, according to John 16:13 leads us into all truth. Truth, according to scripture is found in Ps. 119:142 which tells us His law is truth! The sole purpose of the law is to define what sin is! That is all it does, it was NEVER designed to save anyone, ever!! Paul even tells us that the law is holy, just, and good. Why do you have such hatred towards it??
Christ is the one who is changing me from one who once walked in enmity against Him, to one who wants to obey out of love, NOT SALVATION!!!!. This is found in Rom. 8:7 "Because the carnal mind is enimity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. You do not understand the difference between walking in the flesh and walking in the spirit and this is why you believe that obedience to the law is impossible and you would be 100% correct. That is the weakness in the law, it is powerless to make anyone obey it, it can only tell you what sin is! Rom. 8:3 tells you this. God has always wanted obedience from us, but out of our love for Him, NOT FOR SALVATION!!!
You also probably think I am meaning the entirety of the law of Moses given at Sinai, and I am NOT saying we obey all the laws given at Sinai! There are absolutely changes in the law, out of necessity, due to the change in the priesthood and Hebrews 7:12 tells us.
Lastly, you say grace and law do not go together. Scripture disagees with you. Read Ps. 103: 17, 18 "But the mercy(grace) of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children. 👉To such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.👈" You do not need grace if you are not going to obey Him. What is the purpose of grace, if you are not going to obey?? You see, I need grace because I am still in a fallen state. I cannot walk in obedience due to this fallen state. This is the problem God is fixing. We are ALL in this fallen state, but God requires obedience to HIS righteousness! So, God sent His son clothed Him in flesh and He walked out perfect obedience! This met God's requirements of perfect obedience. So, now we are represented in Christ and no longer Adam. This is the game changer! Now it is Christ that dwells in me and give me the power to overcome sin! Now He is going to begin to change me, through His Spirit. I will still make mistakes, because I am in a fallen state and I am learning what it means to walk in obedience. This is where the grace comes in!!! Grace and Law absolutely, 100%, go hand in hand! They are not mutually exclusive from one another!!
You are following a religious system that has taught you all you need is Christ and He expects nothing from you otherwise that is "works" and "works" are bad. The bible teaches about two different kinds of works. There is the work of the flesh, which is what you are referring to when you think that I am obeying "like a dog" to earn some kind of righteousness of my own. Then there is the work of the spirit. This is where I place my faith in Christ for my salvation and then He begins to change me and I obey out of my love for Him and I seek to do what pleases Him! This obedience is pleasing to Him. 1 John 2:3 "Now by this we know that we know Him,👉if we keep His commandments.👈 He who says he knows Him but does NOT keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him." And before you go and say this verse is referring to the law of Christ, just read on down to verse 7!
If you got this far, I would be shocked, but in case you did, I would say you got some studying to do.
      Yours in Christ!

Roman Catholic and Protestant Confessions about Sunday
The vast majority of Christian churches today teach the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, as a time for rest and worship. Yet it is generally known and freely admitted that the early Christians observed the seventh day as the Sabbath. How did this change come about?
History reveals that it was decades after the death of the apostles that a politico-religious system repudiated the Sabbath of Scripture and substituted the observance of the first day of the week. The following quotations, all from Roman Catholic sources, freely acknowledge that there is no Biblical authority for the observance of Sunday, that it was the Roman Church that changed the Sabbath to the first day of the week.
In the second portion of this booklet are quotations from Protestants. Undoubtedly all of these noted clergymen, scholars, and writers kept Sunday, but they all frankly admit that there is no Biblical authority for a first-day sabbath.
      Roman Catholic Confessions
James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers, 88th ed., pp. 89.
"But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify."
      Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism 3rd ed., p. 174.
"Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?
"Answer: Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her-she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority."
John Laux, A Course in Religion for Catholic High Schools and Academies (1 936), vol. 1, P. 51.
"Some theologians have held that God likewise directly determined the Sunday as the day of worship in the New Law, that He Himself has explicitly substituted the Sunday for the Sabbath. But this theory is now entirely abandoned. It is now commonly held that God simply gave His Church the power to set aside whatever day or days she would deem suitable as Holy Days. The Church chose Sunday, the first day of the week, and in the course of time added other days as holy days."
Daniel Ferres, ed., Manual of Christian Doctrine (1916), p.67.
"Question: How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holy days?
"Answer. By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of, and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church.'
James Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore (1877-1921), in a signed letter.
"Is Saturday the seventh day according to the Bible and the Ten Commandments? I answer yes. Is Sunday the first day of the week and did the Church change the seventh day -Saturday - for Sunday, the first day? I answer yes . Did Christ change the day'? I answer no!
      "Faithfully yours, J. Card. Gibbons"
The Catholic Mirror, official publication of James Cardinal Gibbons, Sept. 23, 1893.
"The Catholic Church, . . . by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday."
Catholic Virginian Oct. 3, 1947, p. 9, art. "To Tell You the Truth."
"For example, nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Today most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the[Roman Catholic] church outside the Bible."
Peter Geiermann, C.S.S.R., The Converts Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (1957), p. 50.
"Question: Which is the Sabbath day?
"Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day.
"Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
"Answer. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday."
Martin J. Scott, Things Catholics Are Asked About (1927),p. 136.
"Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that worship should be changed from Saturday to Sunday .... Now the Church ... instituted, by God's authority, Sunday as the day of worship. This same Church, by the same divine authority, taught the doctrine of Purgatory long before the Bible was made. We have, therefore, the same authority for Purgatory as we have for Sunday."
Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Society (1975),Chicago, Illinois.
"Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts:
"1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them in the eyes of every thinking man.
"2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Besides the Bible we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages and a thousand other laws.
"It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible."
      T. Enright, C.S.S.R., in a lecture at Hartford, Kansas, Feb. 18,1884.
"I have repeatedly offered $1,000 to anyone who can prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound to keep Sunday holy. There is no such law in the Bible. It is a law of the holy Catholic Church alone. The Bible says, 'Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.' The Catholic Church says: 'No. By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day and command you to keep holy the first day of the week.' And lo! The entire civilized world bows down in a reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic Church."
      Protestant Confessions
Protestant theologians and preachers from a wide spectrum of denominations have been quite candid in admitting that there is no Biblical authority for observing Sunday as a sabbath.
      Anglican/Episcopal
Isaac Williams, Plain Sermons on the Catechism , vol. 1, pp.334, 336.
"And where are we told in the Scriptures that we are to keep the first day at all? We are commanded to keep the seventh; but we are nowhere commanded to keep the first day .... The reason why we keep the first day of the week holy instead of the seventh is for the same reason that we observe many other things, not because the Bible, but because the church has enjoined it."
Canon Eyton, The Ten Commandments , pp. 52, 63, 65.
"There is no word, no hint, in the New Testament about abstaining from work on Sunday .... into the rest of Sunday no divine law enters.... The observance of Ash Wednesday or Lent stands exactly on the same footing as the observance of Sunday."
Bishop Seymour, Why We Keep Sunday .
We have made the change from the seventh day to the first day, from Saturday to Sunday, on the authority of the one holy Catholic Church."
      Baptist
Dr. Edward T. Hiscox, a paper read before a New York ministers' conference, Nov. 13, 1893, reported in New York Examiner , Nov.16, 1893.
"There was and is a commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. It will be said, however, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week .... Where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the New Testament absolutely not.
"To me it seems unaccountable that Jesus, during three years' intercourse with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question . . . never alluded to any transference of the day; also, that during forty days of His resurrection life, no such thing was intimated.
"Of course, I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history . . . . But what a pity it comes branded with the mark of paganism, and christened with the name of the sun god, adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!"
William Owen Carver, The Lord's Day in Our Day , p. 49.
"There was never any formal or authoritative change from the Jewish seventh-day Sabbath to the Christian first-day observance."
      Congregationalist
Dr. R. W. Dale, The Ten Commandments (New York: Eaton &Mains), p. 127-129.
" . . . it is quite clear that however rigidly or devotedly we may spend Sunday, we are not keeping the Sabbath - . . 'Me Sabbath was founded on a specific Divine command. We can plead no such command for the obligation to observe Sunday .... There is not a single sentence in the New Testament to suggest that we incur any penalty by violating the supposed sanctity of Sunday."
Timothy Dwight, Theology: Explained and Defended (1823), Ser. 107, vol. 3, p. 258.
" . . . the Christian Sabbath [Sunday] is not in the Scriptures, and was not by the primitive Church called the Sabbath."

Early Church Fathers who lived before the Council of Nicaea on the Sabbath:
      Ignatius of Antioch
If, therefore, those who were brought up in the ancient order of things have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord’s Day, on which also our life has sprung up again by Him and by His death-whom some deny, by which mystery we have obtained faith, and therefore endure, that we may be found the disciples of Jesus Christ, our only Master(Letter to the Magnesians(shorter) Chapter IX.-Let us live with Christ [A.D. 110]).
During the Sabbath He continued under the earth in the tomb in which Joseph of Arimathæa had laid Him. At the dawning of the Lord’s day He arose from the dead, according to what was spoken by Himself, “As Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of man also be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” The day of the preparation, then, comprises the passion; the Sabbath embraces the burial; the Lord’s Day contains the resurrection(The Epistle of Ignatius to the Trallians Longer Versions. Chapter IX.-Reference to the history of Christ.)
      Justin Martyr
The Lawgiver is present, yet you do not see Him; to the poor the Gospel is preached, the blind see, yet you do not understand. You have now need of a second circumcision, though you glory greatly in the flesh. The new law requires you to keep perpetual sabbath, and you, because you are idle for one day, suppose you are pious, not discerning why this has been commanded you: and if you eat unleavened bread, you say the will of God has been fulfilled. The Lord our God does not take pleasure in such observances: if there is any perjured person or a thief among you, let him cease to be so; if any adulterer, let him repent; then he has kept the sweet and true sabbaths of God. If any one has impure hands, let him wash and be pure.(Dialogue with Trypho the Jew Chapter XII.-The Jews violate the eternal law, and interpret ill that of Moses.)
For we too would observe the fleshly circumcision, and the Sabbaths, and in short all the feasts, if we did not know for what reason they were enjoined you,-namely, on account of your transgressions and the hardness of your hearts. For if we patiently endure all things contrived against us by wicked men and demons, so that even amid cruelties unutterable, death and torments, we pray for mercy to those who inflict such things upon us, and do not wish to give the least retort to any one, even as the new Lawgiver commanded us: how is it, Trypho, that we would not observe those rites which do not harm us, -I speak of fleshly circumcision, and Sabbaths, and feasts?(Dialogue with Trypho the Jew Chapter XVIII.-Christians would observe the law, if they did not know why it was instituted. [A.D. 155]).
And we afterwards continually remind each other of these things. And the wealthy among us help the needy; and we always keep together; and for all things wherewith we are supplied, we bless the Maker of all through His Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost. And on the day called Sunday,1 all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration.(First Apology Chapter LXVII.-Weekly worship of the Christians. [A.D. 155]).
“Wherefore, Trypho, I will proclaim to you, and to those who wish to become proselytes, the divine message which I heard from that man. Do you see that the elements are not idle, and keep no Sabbaths? Remain as you were born. For if there was no need of circumcision before Abraham, or of the observance of Sabbaths, of feasts and sacrifices, before Moses; no more need is there of them now, after that, according to the will of God, Jesus Christ the Son of God has been born without sin, of a virgin sprung from the stock of Abraham. For when Abraham himself was in uncircumcision, he was justified and blessed by reason of the faith which he reposed in God, as the Scripture tells. Moreover, the Scriptures and the facts themselves compel us to admit that He received circumcision for a sign, and not for righteousness.(The Second Apology of Justin for the Christians Addressed to the Roman Senate. Chapter XXIII.-The opinion of the Jews regarding the law does an injury to God.)
“As, then, circumcision began with Abraham, and the Sabbath and sacrifices and offerings and feasts with Moses, and it has been proved they were enjoined on account of the hardness of your people’s heart, so it was necessary, in accordance with the Father’s will, that they should have an end in Him who was born of a virgin, of the family of Abraham and tribe of Judah, and of David; in Christ the Son of God, who was proclaimed as about to come to all the world, to be the everlasting law and the everlasting covenant, even as the forementioned prophecies show.(The Second Apology of Justin for the Christians Addressed to the Roman Senate. Chapter XLIII.-He concludes that the law had an end in Christ, who was born of the Virgin.)
      Tertullian
“[L]et him who contends that the Sabbath is still to be observed as a balm of salvation, and circumcision on the eighth day . . . teach us that, for the time past, righteous men kept the Sabbath or practiced circumcision, and were thus rendered ‘friends of God.’ For if circumcision purges a man, since God made Adam uncircumcised, why did he not circumcise him, even after his sinning, if circumcision purges? . . . Therefore, since God originated Adam uncircumcised and unobservant of the Sabbath, consequently his offspring also, Abel, offering him sacrifices, uncircumcised and unobservant of the Sabbath, was by him [God] commended [Gen. 4:1-7, Heb. 11:4]. . . . Noah also, uncircumcised-yes, and unobservant of the Sabbath-God freed from the deluge. For Enoch too, most righteous man, uncircumcised and unobservant of the Sabbath, he translated from this world, who did not first taste death in order that, being a candidate for eternal life, he might show us that we also may, without the burden of the law of Moses, please God”(An Answer to the Jews Chapter II.-The Law Anterior to Moses. Hey R.L. another good teaching. I've been in Hebrew roots (HR) for 8 1/2 years now. Within HR you got the Torah Terrorists of which I was once one, who's zealousness for the Law goes overboard into a ditch. Then you have the mature brethren in HR who have Torah as almost an unspoken lifestyle and the focus is Christ and discipleship in the great commission. Praise the LORD he helped me mature. That passage in Philippians is definitely a go to when rebuking Torah Terrorists in the fellowship.

For a while he said that he does not put any confidence his own works or his ability to follow God's law. He said he has total confidence in Christ. Today he thinks it is faith and works that saves us and he is trying to convert people into Judaism. Oh how I wish that he comes back and believes the real Gospel. This is a problem that I acknowledge has happened to some who pursue Torah. It is akin to those who have no depth of understanding trying to reason with Mormons or JWs. And then they get pulled in by them.
We Torah pursuant need to be very clear with everyone that salvation is in no other. There is no one who does what is good and never sins. Doing Torah can never be justificational.
I find that many Torah pursuing believers have little actual biblical training. There are also some really terrible “Hebrew Roots” groups who get off in the weeds of Kabbalah and all the sages writings. Those writings are only useful with the clear understanding and desire to give cultural context to the Text. And even then these Jewish writings should be handled with care by well trained teachers and pastors.

Our salvation is from sin (Matthew 1:21) and it is by the Torah that we know what sin is (Romans 3:20), so while we do not earn our salvation as the result of obeying it, living in obedience to it through faith in Jesus is nevertheless intrinsically part of concept of him saving us from not living in obedience to it.
God is trustworthy, therefore the Torah is also trustworthy (Psalms 19:7), so the way to have faith in God is by following what He has instructed. Relying on our own works does not involve relying on anyone else, so it is contradictory to think that by relying on what God has instructed we are relying on our own works in stead of relying on Him.
In Matthew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and the Torah was how his audience knew what sin is, so repenting from our disobedience to it is a central part of the Gospel message. Furthermore, in Titus 2:14, Jesus gave himself to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people of his own possession who are zealous for doing good works, so becoming zealous for doing good works in obedience to the Torah is the way to believe in what Christ accomplished through his ministry and through the cross (Acts 21:20).

We shouldn’t try to define what commandments, it’s the same commandments Jesus walked perfectly as an example for us. And those commandments are all seen in the Torah. Many Christians will say Jesus gave even deeper understanding of the commandments and I agree like example Adultery, even if you look with lust you committed adultery in your heart. He did not take away the Torah commandment of Adultery, he shown how were are not to break the Torah even with our eyes and heart... the eyes this represents the mind too. So keeping the Torah with all our hearts and minds and in a sinners case after they are saved, because they are living out this new saved life. We do not follow the Torah to be saved, but because we are now saved. We all broke the Torah, we all needed salvation, now when the gift of salvation has been given there is no works for salvation. In the 613 laws none of them are instruction as to what to do if you can’t uphold one of the laws. Yet in 70AD the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed then Levitical priest hood ended. As there is no law telling you what to do now that you have no priests and you can’t make sacrifices how to you clean yourself from sin? If you sin you pray to God and the prayer petition is mediated by Jesus, our high priest right? So if we all practice that we practice the 2nd Covenant. Hebrew 8 Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, 2 a minister in the holy places, in the true tent[a] that the Lord set up, not man. 3 For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; thus it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer. 4 Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts according to the law. 5 They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, “See that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain.” 6 But as it is, Christ[b] has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second.
The first covenant was with Abraham for all mankind. The faults it had to Israel falling away from God many times. God gave the Law to Moses for the Israelites a specific people for a time. That time started passing with the arrival of Jesus our Messiah and completed when the temple was destroyed. The first covenant has ended and the second has started. Thank you God for sending Messiah Jesus Christ to all mankind for the redemption of our sins. There is no reason to practice attributes of a failed law when we have a new covenant with better promises in Jesus our High Priest.

Hi Lew! Jesus' mention of the Sabbath in Matt. 24:20 clearly shows that He expected His Jewish followers would continue to keep the Sabbath. And why would they stop? It was never prohibited.
The 10 Commandments were given as the foundation of the Old Covenant law. As I see it, those Commandments do not apply to Christians today *in the context they were given to Israel.* In other words, we don't honor our parents "so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you" (Exod. 20:12). And we don't impose the death penalty on someone who breaks the seventh day Sabbath. The Bible says, "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ." (Col. 2:16-17)
That said, the principles _behind_ the Ten Commandments still very much apply to Christians. In fact, 9 of the 10 Commandments are repeated and taught in the New Testament. (The Sabbath is not). The Bible teaches that we are not required to keep the seventh day Sabbath _as it was given_ in the Law of Moses. (We can if we want, of course...just not the death penalty part!) But I believe the principle behind the Sabbath is still to be kept: setting aside a regular time of rest to remember, thank, and worship God and be with family.

Yes, I think what Paul was saying is being circumcised couldn’t save them. The Judaizers of that day seemed to think just because they were circumcised they were saved. In the same way people in many congregations of faith these days seem to think being baptized in water puts a seal of salvation on them. Paul is telling them it’s pointless. We all want this heart change that only comes with an encounter with Jesus Christ. If we have this encounter in our lives, hopefully it will also change our hearts to have a love for people and all of God’s instructions. I have embraced many of these Biblical instructions, Not to be saved, but because I am. I like you, have joined myself to His Kingdom. The most compelling evidence for embracing these instructions has come to me by realizing that during the 1000 year reign of Christ these instructions are important to God. As spoken in Zech 14, and a few other places. This seems to be more consistent with the Character of God, who as the Bible says never changes. At the very least, I’ll just be getting a head start on a few people for his governmental ideas, and the transition of ruling and reigning with Christ will be less of an adjustment for me.

Hey, Trey! The "laws" of God that define right and wrong were true long before the Law of Moses was given. So when God commands us not to murder today, it’s not because of the Ten Commandments. It’s because of His universal principle against murder. Long before God gave Israel the Law of Moses, Cain was judged for murdering his brother Abel (Gen 4:8-16). Same thing with sexual morality. Under the New Covenant, God doesn’t forbid adultery because of the Ten Commandments. Unfaithfulness and sexual immorality were wrong long before the Law of Moses, as we see, for example, in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 18-19). Because mankind was made in God’s image, we have a “compass” of objective morality, so to speak, baked into our human DNA. And under the New Covenant, God's law is written on our hearts.

@@6969smurfy Thanks, Dan. But not every command that God has given, even in those verses you cited, applies to every person at all times. Some of His commands were only given to certain people. For example, Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Moses were all given commands that do not apply to anyone else. And some of His commands were only given for certain times, like gathering manna in the wilderness (Ex 16). So we are each only expected to keep the commands of God that apply to us. For example, under the Mosaic Covenant, Israel was commanded to make a blood sacrifice for sin at the temple through the Levitical priesthood (Lev 16). But those commands don't apply followers of Jesus today under the New Covenant. Not only because believers are now the temple (1 Cor 3:16-17; 6:19; 2 Cor 6:16; Eph 2:21), and _we_ (not the Levites) are now the priests (1 Pet 2:5, 9; Rev 1:6), but also because Jesus was our sacrifice "once for all" (Heb 10:10), and therefore, "there is no longer any offering for sin." The sacrifices were always a picture of what Yeshua would do in His blood.
I believe the sacrifices never saved anybody. They were a symbol like the bronze serpent. When the heart of faith trusted in Gods mercy for forgiveness the worshipper’s status became forgiven and the right act to perform was sacrifice because God said that was His desire as a way to show the penetent the cost of sin was the death of the sacrifice. It pointed back to God’s covenant with Abraham and forward to the realization in Messiah.
The blood of those sacrifices aren’t believed to add anything to what Messiah has done.
It is like saying why do you keep drinking the cup and eating the wafer? Didn’t Jesus death on the cross meet your need? The answer is it did and the cup and wafer picture that atonement. It is symbolic.

Hello, sir (or madam)! In Scripture, we can't assume that every time we read the English word "law" it's referring specifically to the Law of Moses. Context is king in that regard. In verses 5, 6 and 9 the Greek word translated "law" is the same: νόμος (nomos). And in the context of this passage, its clear that Paul is referring to the Law of Moses each time. Why do I say that?
In verses 5 and 6 the subject of Paul's statement is his impressive Hebrew pedigree. So the word "law" here only makes sense in the context of the Law of Moses. What other law could he be referring to? So in verse 6, Paul said of himself, "as to righteousness under the law, blameless." And carrying that forward, he says in verse 9, "not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith." He's contrasting faith and law, as he so often does. So the Law of Moses is in view in this passage.
As for the Pharisees, yes, they added lots of man-made rules to the law!
      Blessings,
      Rob

@@TheBiblicalRoots I am not 100% convinced that your interpretation is correct this time (even though the Greek word is the same) by suggesting all three times this was referring to the Laws of Moses. Your correctly stated at the end that the Pharisees added men made laws.
And it was these laws that The Pharisees added to the law which eventually developed into the written Talmudic laws which is not the Torah.
Paul was taught within these Pharisee laws that contradicted the Torah. But his encounter with the Messiah most likely brought him away from the Pharisees laws.

I have a friend who has bern taught by Jeff Benner and others that the ancient paleo pictographic alphabet must be applied to the modern Hebrew letters to get a deep, accurate, more complete meaning behind the modern letters and words. When she's finished she gets a different meaning to the scripture so that the verse is unrecognizable at times. How do you turn someone from this. What she's trying to do is get into the mind of the ancient people to whom the scriptures were original spoken.

    • @TheBiblicalRoots
      @TheBiblicalRoots  ปีที่แล้ว

That is very frustrating, Patsy. I have noticed that many (not all!) who teach Torahism trade on the notion of "hidden knowledge": the Paleo Hebrew alphabet that unlocks new meaning, or historical corruption (or a theological epiphany) that somehow no one noticed until now, etc. The thing about paleo-Hebrew is that it's the exact same language as biblical Hebrew, it just uses different glyphs (shapes) for the letters. In fact, some of the earlier writings from the Tanakh (OT) were likely written in Paleo Hebrew. But the words they spell are the same Hebrew words we have today in the Bible.
Sadly, when people get caught up in conspiracy theories they often (not always!) set reason aside. I mean, to think that a 21st-century Western Gentile has "finally" unlocked ancient Hebrew secrets that contradict 4,000 years of Judeo-Christian rabbis, sages, and scholars seems a bit sketchy, doesn't it? (P.S. I know nothing about Jeff Benner and my comment is not directed toward him.) When we've bought into these theories, it's natural to label everything we disagree with as part of the conspiracy. So it's hard to "break the spell," as it were. Our two most powerful weapons are prayer and love. If they're open to a rational conversation, absolutely engage with them, but do so with gentleness and respect (1 Pet. 3:15). But if they're being arrogant and argumentative, it's usually best to just give them a hug and agree to disagree.
      Blessings, Rob

Interesting since He was a Jew and lived His life as such, but Torah is of no value today because Christianity says so. I keep seeing scripture that says “throughout your generations “. Ever stopped to think about what that means? We don’t observe Torah to be saved, we observe Torah because our creator knows best and we trust and love Him. That should be the reason for observing it - not to earn salvation.

As long as we are in this world we are in bondage. Our culture is drowning in paganism and we don’t even realize it - it’s just what we are taught and raised in. Holidays, entertainment, even our calendar is pagan and if one is willing to study and dig deep, they will see it. The Israelites were instructed not to adopt the practices of the people of Canaan or of Egypt, but they did and they suffered for it. And we do the same thing today. And the church is doing it too even to the point of discouraging people from observing Torah because it is “Jewish “. Built in discrimination is more like it. Starting with the feast days which Leviticus 23 calls the feast of the LORD aka Adoni or Yahuah. I believe true freedom comes from letting go of the world’s ways and getting back into the Book.

Hello, Annie. I am sorry that your brother has come to believe these things and is so difficult to talk to! I know how frustrating it can be. The New Testament authors referred to Jesus as Ἰησοῦς (Iesous), not "Yeshua." So we know it is perfectly acceptable to refer to Jesus in any language. Isaiah 9:6 says of the Messiah, "his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." And Isaiah 7:14 says, "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." And Jesus consistently referred to Himself as "Son of Man." So the idea that we can *only* refer to Him as Yeshua is ridiculous. And Jesus called God "Father," not "Yahweh" or "Yah." So its okay to use those other names. So the big problem with what your brother is telling you about the names is that it is a man-made rule, not something that Scripture teaches.
And remember that we only worship what we set our hearts and minds on. So unless you set your heart and mind on the devil, you cannot be worshiping him no matter what name you use for God!

I think of it like changing anyone else’s name. There’s a meaning in Yeshua that is not translated in Jesus. Names have meanings in some languages and Hebrew is one of those. But at the same time, I will say that this isn’t something that can be forced upon anyone. It’s about the relationship more than anything. If you really want to know what is so important about the name, I would suggest doing your own research and not just taking anyone’s word for it. Hopefully your brother understands this and gives you some time. My own family is not into this, so I have had to learn the hard way to hold back on some things that I am learning as well.

It is by the Torah that we know what sin is (Romans 3:20) and Jesus was sinless, therefore He never broke any of its laws, including the command to keep the Sabbath holy. To suggest that Jesus did not observe the Sabbath is to say that he sinned and therefore to deny that he is our Savior. It is contradictory to think that Jesus was correct about it being lawful to heal on the Sabbath and that the Pharisees were correct that Jesus had broken the Sabbath by healing on it. It has always been lawful to heal on the Sabbath, so the Pharisees who thought he had broken it were incorrect.
Self-righteusness does not rely on anyone else, so it is incorrect to think that relying on what God has instructed is the way to become self-righteous.
If Gentiles were never under the Mosaic Law, then Gentiles have never needed to repent from their sins, have never needed grace, have never needed faith, and have never needed Jesus to give himself to redeem us from all lawlessness.

Are we celebrating it because its fun to dress up in costumes and get candy and walk around our neighborhood at night? Or are we flirting with, or even promoting, the dark side of the spiritual world? We worship what we set our hearts and minds on. So I don't believe trick-or-treating or attending costume parties can cause us to inadvertently worship the devil or anything. But the holiday certainly brings no glory to God. The reality is that the law doesn't save anyone, rather it's Jesus who saves, The lord said it back in the time of Noah "men's hearts are wicked from their youth" and therefore no man is righteous unless if they submit to the grace from Jesus.... That doesn't mean the law is no more, Paul insists that rather he glorifies the Torah of Moshe... How tho? Simple,
    1. Remember the adultrous woman that was to be stoned death, Jesus saves and gives her grace but the commands her to sin no more (stay away from adultry) which is a law that the righteous follow but the lawless one breaks and openly admits he or she is not under the law in other words not under a government of the most high
    2. Faith without actions is dead as James insisted
Your faith must be accompanied by works of the Torah ( teaching and instructions of God) in other words how does one have faith in Jesus
Believing is accepting to something wholeheartedly when Jesus said in Matthew that didn't come to abolish the law

Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses), or for certain times (ex. gathering manna). And we're each only expected to keep the commands of God that apply to us. When we add anything to what Jesus did for us, we actually nullify what Jesus did. Charles Morris on Haven Today once said that Jesus plus anything equals nothing, but Jesus plus nothing equals everything. It seems to me that almost everyone adds something to the gospel to what Jesus did on our behalf.

Rob 'misread warning"; Phil 3:9 it is Paul's own inherent righteousness by the letter, which failed him. Look again "mine own" is his own, "having mine own righteousness which is through the faith of Christ", is the meaning as the letter. It is the righteousness of God, because God's law is the law of righteousness, due to the obedience of faith.

Everything said can apply to every believer, Torah affirming or not. The implication in this video is that practicing Torah necessarily leads to trusting in ones works instead of Christ for salvation.
I can't speak for others, but for me and my house, Christ is the foundation of our faith and salvation.
Our testimony and the Father's blessings speak well enough to those who personally interact with us.
    As for us knowing Him:
1Jn 2:3 And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
    1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

1Jn 2:6 he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also to walk even as he walked.

Hebrew Roots is a stepping stone to conversion. Being treated as second class citizens in the messianic Jewish Movement, many have left it and joined Hebrew Roots congregations also called the Sacred Name Movement. But it only lasts for a while and doesn't satisfy. Finally, those hungry souls of returning Ephraimites kept searching, and many found that there are congregations that are conducting Jewish conversions without requiring to deny faith in Yeshua. Some examples are Lapid Judaism, Ani Judaism and Messianic Dallas. There are also some in the mainsrream Jewish world that do the same. The geulah has begun.

Paul makes blasphemous statements against the ten commandments
The meaning of the word blasphemy.
NT Greek words for blasphemy are: G987 βλασφημέω & G988 βλασφημία
      G987 βλασφημέω blasphēmeō blas-fay-meh'-o

When ppl find out that I don't do easter or christmas, they ask me if I am Jewish. I say no. I say I'm like Abram/Abraham. I'm a Hebrew. I've crossed over as Abraham did. He was not a Jew nor an Israelite. He was a man who heard the call of our Father telling him to turn his back on man's ways and walk in His Word. To obey His Word by following His Instructions, which by the way are NOT Laws (mans mistranslation). Man's doctrines are laws. Not the Father's. I haven't watched this whole video yet, but my heart dropped when I saw the title and read some of the comments. Ppl have been so conditioned by man. Mislead by man made doctrines and traditions. I know. I was once there. Since 2013, layers of religious doctrine have been peeling away and I have been released from false teachings. What most ppl don't realize is that all 41,000+ religions were cultivated by the teachings and traditions of our Father and what Yeshua exampled. But they were changed into something more "manageable" to allow control over people and to also put a veil up between them and Truth, His Word. Which by the way has NEVER changed! But man changed it. This false teacher and those that believe the words that are spoken in this video...I believe that not all is lost. This man and all those still shackled to man's theology will one day have eyes that SEE and ears that HEAR. I just hope it is before his return.

And, with all due respect-and I say this out of love in the hope that you can see it-you have not been shedding "man-made doctrines." You've merely switched from one set of "man-made doctrines" to another. I say this because the new view you've come to embrace was taught to you by a man. In Psalms 119:53, he said that hot indignation seizes him because of the wicked who forsake the Torah. God did not command to do evil in the Torah, but to do what is holy, righteous, and good (Romans 7:12), and Christ did not do evil when he set a sinless example of how to walk in obedience to the Torah, so it is completely absurd to think that the evil doers are those who are teaching people to obey what God has commanded in accordance with following Christ's example. In Matthew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and the Torah was how his audience knew what sin is, so repenting from our disobedience to it is a central part of the Gospel message, which he prophesied would be proclaimed to all nations (Matthew 24:12-14), so it is again absurd to think that people are undermining the work of Christ by teaching people to obey the Torah that he taught by word and by example. In Titus 2:14, Jesus gave himself to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people of his own possession who are zealous for doing good works, so becoming zealous for doing good works in obedience to the Torah is the way to believe in everything that he accomplished through his ministry and through the cross, not the way to undermine his work or the way to say that what he did is not enough.
God is trustworthy, therefore the Torah is also trustworthy (Psalms 19:7), so relying on what God has instructed is the way to rely on God, not the way to rely on our own effort, while considering what God has instructed to be untrustworthy is also considering God to be untrustworthy. The Torah is God's word and Jesus is God's word made flesh, so it is contradictory for someone to want to put their faith in Jesus, but not put their faith in the Torah. In Romans 8:4-7, those who walk in the Spirit are contrasted with those who have minds set on the flesh, who are enemies of God, who refuse to submit to the Torah. In Galatians 5:19-23, everything listed as works of the flesh that are against the Spirit are also against the Torah while all of the fruits of the Spirit are in accordance with it. The Torah is God's instructions for how to have faith, not the way to add our own effort on top of our faith.
In Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him to obey the Torah that he might know Him and Israel too, and in Matthew 7:23, Jesus said that he would tell those who are workers of lawlessness to depart from him because he never knew them, so knowing God and Jesus is the goal of the Torah, which is eternal life (John 17:3) and righteousness for everyone who has faith (Romans 10:2-4). So Philippians 3 should not be interpreted as saying that the Torah is rubbish and we need to focus on knowing Jesus instead, but rather Paul had been obeying the Torah without being focused and knowing Jesus, so he had been missing the whole goal of the Torah, and that is what he counted as rubbish.
Jesus set a sinless example of how to walk in obedience to the Torah, so he was much more zealous for it than the Pharisees were, and he never criticized them for obeying it, but he did criticize them for not obeying it or for not obeying it correctly. For example, in Mark 7:6-9, Jesus said that the Pharisees were hypocrites for setting aside the commands of God in order to establish their own traditions. In Matthew 23:23, Jesus said that tithing was something that they ought to be doing while not neglecting weightier matters of the Torah of justice, mercy, and faith, so he was not coming against their obedience to the Torah, but rather he was calling them to a higher level of obedience to it in a manner that is in accordance with its weightier matters.
While we do not earn our righteousness by obeying God, that does not mean that we are not still obligated to obey what He has commanded. In Psalms 119:29-30, he wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him to obey the Torah, and he chose the way of faithfulness by having the Torah on his heart, so that is the way to act in accordance with the grace of Jesus, not the way to choke it out, and that has always been the one and only way to become righteous by grace through faith. In 1 John 2:4, those who say that they know Jesus, but don't obey his commands are liars, and in 1 John 3:4-6, those who continue to practice sin in transgression of the Torah have neither seen nor known him, so we can't know Jesus instead of following God's instructions for how to know Him. God does not command manure, but rather the righteous deeds of the saints are like fine white linen (Revelation 19:8).
He's blatantly pulling Psalms 51:16-17 our of context because it goes on to say: 18 Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; 19 then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings then bulls will be offered on your altar.

@@TheBiblicalRoots your interpretation of Paul is that it’s Jesus and nothing more. Faith alone works, has nothing to do with my salvation. So, if it’s faith alone, and I have imputed righteousness, and my works, has nothing to do with my salvation then technically, you’re saying, I can murder until death, and still walk in to the kingdom.
How does your interpretation that you just said line up with Paul when he says the unrighteous will not make it into the kingdom . First, Corinthians69 and Galatians five. Literally, he says, drunks and fornicators will not inherit the kingdom.
See, I think you have the context wrong, and you think they are trying to believe in Jesus, and be obedient whereas I believe what is actually going on is they are not believing in Jesus, and trying to resurrect her own body and have eternal life through their law keeping .
So answer the question can I murder until death if it is faith alone, and I have imputed righteousness ? Because you just said salvation, you cannot add anything to it. You cannot add your works it’s belief alone in Jesus.

@@indo3052 Hi, indo. The answer to your question is no, of course not. Murder is as forbidden in the New Testament as it was under the law of Moses, and as it was _before_ the law of Moses was given. You're touching on a few issues here. And just to be clear, it wasn't me who invented this idea. The Bible says,
"Yet we know that a person is _not justified by works of the law_ but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and _not by works of the law,_ because _by works of the law no one will be justified"_ (Gal 2:16).
"who saved us and called us to a holy calling, _not because of our works_ but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began" (2 Tim 1:9)
"he saved us, _not because of works done by us in righteousness,_ but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit" (Titus 3:5)
So obeying the law does not make anyone right with God or righteous in His eyes.
Does the fact that salvation comes through faith alone mean we are free to engage in all kinds of wickedness? Of course not! Jesus and the NT authors are very clear that we are to be loving, obedient, humble, generous, and so on.
"But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code" (Rom 7:6). And how do we know if we are serving "in the new way of the Spirit"? "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law" (Gal 5:22-23).

*“..and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”*
It’s imperative that we read and interpret the text with exegesis; not with eisegesis, not reading into the text what we want it to say, but what it actually says and it’s meaning. Ephesians 4:24 end capped what Paul said. Hey, WL! Why would you think we are only allowed to refer to our CREATOR by one name or that Jesus is the "wrong" name? In fact, Scripture refers to both God and Jesus by many names! The NT authors referred to Jesus as Ἰησοῦς (Iesous), not Yeshua. So we know it is perfectly acceptable to refer to Jesus in any language. Isaiah 9:6 says of the Messiah, "his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." And Isaiah 7:14 says, "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." And Jesus consistently referred to Himself as "Son of Man." So, respectfully, the idea that we can only refer to Him by one name or another is silly.

When one reads Phil 3:1-10 correctly, we will understand the issue Paul is dealing with is ethnic superiority. It’s 👉🏻NOT👈🏻 about whether to keep all the Torah or not after getting saved. Those Paul is dealing with were likely not born a Jew but became one by the 👉🏻oral law/traditions of men👈🏻 of the day, by proselytism. There is 👉🏻no law in Torah 👈🏻 which states one must be circumcised (i.e., become a Jew) to be part of the covenants of YaH. 👉🏻No one was ever saved by circumcision. 👈🏻 These leaders of the area of Philippi held one must become a Jew through circumcision added to faith in Yeshua to be saved. Again, Paul is 👉🏻NOT 👈🏻 dealing with whether or not to keep all the Torah laws. It’s a matter of 👉🏻oral laws/traditions of men for the communities.👈🏻

107, vol. 3, p. 258.

    The Law was NEVER salvific.
If people in the Old Testament could have been saved by following the Law and things like animal sacrifice, they never would have needed a Savior, and Christ would be irrelevant. Therefore it is NOT an offense to the cross when it is resumed under Christ's direction during His millennial reign.
There is a FOURTH temple, priests and Levites, and ANIMAL SACRIFICE continually being practiced because it was never an alternative to the work of saving grace, and Christ being the Word in the flesh literally embodies the very laws you hate.

    New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by
husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.

Bad teachers happen are prominent throughout the body of Christ. Be it Baptist, Anglican, Pentecostal, Seventh day adventist, Jehovah Witness or Torah observant.
Most teachers and Pastors are teaching from what they have been taught. Recycling the beliefs of those who come before, through seminary, church, books or on the internet such as youtube.
Most want to teach their own belief in what is right and wrong, condemning the beliefs of those that dont agree.
Faith has become latly based on what others believe and teach. We as a body spend more time seeking the thoughts of others then in prayer
Many dont even read the word in context, or study the scriptures in whole.
We should be leading others into relationship, encouraging others to pray, meditate on the word and live a life of conviction, convicted by the spirit and the word in our own hearts.
but if we dont read the word, then how can the spirt truly convict for the holy spirit is our teacher.
For if one through reading and meditating, come to the revelation they should eat kosha, then they should eat kosha, and dont let man tell you otherwise, otherwise man has become your ultimate authority
the same if you read and haven't come to that revelation, then dont feel pressured to eat kosha because another believer or teacher tells you you must, otherwise again you have put man as your authority.
The more we read, the more we pray, the better our understanding. we must circumcise the heart first.
I would never teach someone they must keep the law, or that the law was done away with. I would encourage them to read the word, not just the new testement, but the old as well and live by what the spirt puts on their heart. this way, we should all be point the same way,
Its good to share with others in friendly discussions, why we do or dont do certain things, and allow the spirt to use that teach others, and vice versa.
We either live by one of 3 ways.
    1. we live for ourselves, as a Christian, we would read the bible and either take no notice, or read it with a view of what i dont have to do. or just dont read
    2. we live for our cultural surroundings, be it a church or movement, or other believers. with this heart we live by how others teach or instruct, we seek mans and clarity over the word and prayer
    3. we live for God, we seek his word, we pray, we may listen to others for perspective, but the word is our main authority and we seek prayer for clarity as we reason sometimes contradicting viewpoints. and we live a life convicted by the spirit.
in conclusion, Toraism is no more dangerous then any other form of Christianity, living of the faith of others is the most dangerous.
Its not what you do, its why you do it. and its this theme, that i personally see Paul struggling to get across, not the do's and dont's but the why.
know he already loves you. your not gaining approval, but live a life of one who is already approved

Jehovah's Witnesses aren't even Christians to begin with. They believe Jesus was the reincarnation of Michael the Archangel.

So all you have to do is believe that's not what James says James says faith without works is dead James 2.24

Yes, all we have to do is believe [Rom 10:9-10] as our works have zero effect in our justification with Yahweh. That’s the integral part you seem to be missing. However that does not negate the believer from producing fruit, i.e. good works. Our good works are the product, i.e. the fruit of our salvation, not the causation of it.

I come to realize there are many types of Hebrew Roots. I met someone today that said Jesus was not the Messiah he was not the Christ, Yeshua is. And I met Hebrew roots that actually use the name Jesus and I've heard them use other names like Yehowah or Yehoshua and Yahweh.

My cat brings me dead animals sometimes... I still probably am not grasping the full extent of the frustration of God (because He's God) but dang is it gross and a mess. I guess they believe humans are not good hunters so they have to bring us food? Talk about rubbish! Lol

Some HR members told me just the other day that different HR groups believe different things about different parts of Torah, such as which parts are relevant for us to follow today. So, I asked them which of them all is the TRUE group that has it all right, and they had no clue. I then revealed that they can't all be true, but they can all be wrong, or just one be right. This was unsettling to them since it was something they had never considered before. As a theologian, I then asked them to lay out for me what portions are relevant, and how they know that only those portions are relevant, and they didn't have a clue how to defend their beliefs, and that I could ask their leadership. I asked why I should do that when each of us is required to give an answer to the hope that we have, and, again, they had nothing of any substance to offer as a defense for their beliefs.
HR people are not yet as indoctrinated as JW's and Mormons, but if the Lord tarries long enough for His return for the Church, we may well see each faction clamping down on their expectations that their followers become better versed in their particular dogmas.

I've had similar interactions. Many in the Hebrew Roots Movement can only repeat what their teachers have told them, but they haven't worked out the theology for themselves. So when they are pressed, they're not sure how to answer. Which, sadly, can also be true sometimes in mainstream Christianity. Which is why I try to be so methodical in my teachings, and explain why these things are true, and why we should believe them. Blessings! Rob

So why would Jesus ask this type of question? 26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” Luke 10:26

Even the disciples needed guidance: Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. Luke 24:45 (this wasn’t referring to the NT which wasn’t the scriptures in their days)

So the question, why different HR groups having different understandings of the scriptures? This could be easily addressed in many ways, one could be depended on if they are new to the understanding and they still need to have the scriptures opened up to them over time through diligence of study! Two this could depend on their previous backgrounds, if they were originally influenced by previous Christian dominations, or other religions and have to further study the scriptures to remove some of these influences. Three, they if they are newbies still don’t understand the current role of Jesus as high priest in the heavenly temple performing all the Torah requirements that the Levite’s we’re instructed to perform. Fourth, not fully understanding the scrolls that were removed by past Jewish Judaism groups and past 2nd and 3rd century Christian. In which these books were scriptures to Jesus.. So pretty much has to do with the level of scriptural understanding and where they are at in that level.. such as the calendar, biblical cosmology, the heavenly priesthood, etc...
But your question should first be why so many different Christian dominations? Why does the Catholic Church have sculptures everywhere? Why does the Catholic Church have altars and priests? Why does some Christian church have gay flags hung up and promote love of gays to stay as they are? Why are there KIng James only Christians that are against other Christians reading other translations? Why is their women pastors?
If the christians were all on the same page, there would only be one domination, so which Christian church is the right one?
