The soprano did beautifully on a difficult aria and the violoncello was absolutely tasteful in its artistry. What an honor that such a good recording has been made and anyone can access it in their own home! Even Bach himself didn't get to hear many of his pieces live. Thank you so much for uploading!!

I could not find the meaning of "gepreiset". What does the title mean?
I believe it would be "praised"
Title means 'Let Jesus now be praised' - preisen (verb) = praise
actually, real german would be "gepriesen"
1ShadowInTheDark I assume there might be some difference between German grammar in the Bach-era german and modern german.
"Gepreiset" actually is real German, spoken 300 years ago, and I would argue that we spoke much more eloquently back then.

Anyone who does not love Christ is not blessed, but rather cursed. May we pray first of all this blessing on unbelievers: that they recieve salvation by grace through faith from Jesus Christ.
