The Harbinger VARI Live VS18 features a built-in Class-D amplifier that delivers 600W (2400W peak) of clean power for a maximum SPL output of 134dB, providing low distortion and clarity-even if thundering lows are pumping aggressively throughout the venue. To help protect the speaker when the bass is really pumping, the VS18 has clip LEDs for each input to guard against raging signal levels, and front- and rear-mounted limiter LEDs that let you know when maximum volume has been attained.
Any full-range speaker can be integrated with the subwoofer by setting the VS18’s crossover control yourself and tailoring its response to work with the mains you are using. You can even adjust the VS18’s Time Aligning Delay control to combat phase-alignment issues that can rob the sub of maximum bass. A transparent limiter is also onboard to keep the lows taut and protect the speaker when it's operating at high volume levels.
The VS18 has the inputs and outputs to integrate with just about any sound system. Dual XLR combo connectors accept balanced and unbalanced XLR inputs, as well as 1/4" jacks, so however your system is configured, it can welcome a VS18 to the party. Two XLR outputs let you add more subs for bigger venues, and an output level control is dedicated to the VS18 alone, so you can adjust the sub-lows without affecting the volume of the connected main speakers.
With ergonomically placed handles and easy rolling, lockable casters, the VS18 is surprisingly agile and easy to transport and store.

This sub is great, especially at that price point. You can hear it from a block away and feel the chest beating thump from close up.
I have alto ts415. Wondering how will they pair with this sub
I own two alto412s and looking to add a sub component. Dont want carry an 18 sub and i really dont do much DJ-ing (maybe 2 times a year). Would matching alto with harbinger be okay? How many subs? 1:1? If one to one, would 12 and 12 sub be okay? Thanks. Love your content
Robin! Great Channel and content! I'm curious...I'm about to get a new set up. Gig-capability wise; in your opinion would be the difference in going with the 3412's vs 3415's when having the 18" sub? I mean in relation to number of people at a reception per se.
If the space is large and if some of the guests are far back, the 15" are better. Not louder or basser, but fuller sound in the back of the room.
When will ALTO release its 18 inch subwoofer product again?... maybe the TS418?...
7:17 question please. Where do i set the crossover if i im using 4 subs and im using the outputs to link the others subs .do i set to full range on the crossover or at 60 heartz

Is this better than the previous version V2318S? I'm looking to sell my V2318S and getting 2 of these VS18's, or don't know if I'll be better off just getting a 2nd V2318S
I bought a pair of the Vari 3412 and the VS18 sub. In your video, you suggest connecting the system using the inputs on the sub, and sending the outputs to the top speakers. I have mine connected with the left 3412 accepting the inputs as stereo master on input 3 (TRS cables). The sub is fed from mix out on the left speaker. Sub cut is set to 18, and the right speaker is linked. Is this an ok way to do it or should I use the sub to accept the input as you did in your video?
The only problem I think I see here is that the Subwoofer is only plugged into the Left so it only hears bass from the left to play.
@@expertisland I don’t think that is correct because the manual says that the you can make the left speaker of the 3415 becomes the “stereo master of a Smart Stereo Pair “ Essentially sending stereo signal to the subwoofer from the “Mix Out “.
You can do it either way according to the manual. The problem is I think this way will only work if you’re using the Bluetooth connection to send the audio to the speaker.
If you were using a mixer then you would have to send Right and Left out from the mixer.
In that case you would run left and right out from the mixer to the V18 subwoofer and then out from the Sub to the left and right tops ( 3412’s )
How you ever did anything with the BassBoss or Yorkville speakers?
Not with Them, I know of them and I have seen and hear their product, but for Reviewing or Testing that is up to BassBoss or Yorkville to contact us.
How different audible and feel are the subwoofers of harbinger the model vs18 versus vs12? For outdoor usages and indoor , how is it that they have the same amplifier of 2000watts peak ? Which one you recommend for not needing to upgrade and that can not say only on manual specs but really have a bigger wider frequency mid- low range of hz
And also it’s weird but what’s better the v2218 or v2318 or vs18? I’m confused w all the models named for subs .. how good or better or same is this v2315 loud speaker in comparison to the JBL EON615 older model ?
You almost always need more when you're outside. Bigger is better, 2 in place of 1 or 18" in place of 12".
As for the last 3 models of Harbinger subwoofers, if you have an old one, you do not need to run out and replace it. The newer ones are a little better than the older ones for sure.
Bro, how do I hook this up to my mark 1 V2315s? There's no sub cut on my 15s
Normally you would go mixer to sub VS18 upto Speaker V2315 you can adjust the sub 150 to 180 Hz find what sound you like. all Good.
There's a massive typo in the manual for this subwoofer, the diagram they show for the back of the 2315 is actually the back of the 3000 series. I only bought this sub because I thought it was going to use the sub-cut technology that It showed in the diagram as being the back of my speakers. I didn't think that I would actually have to look at the back of my speakers considering harbinger printed the manual. Well guess what, when It showed up today and I compared the back of my 2315s with the diagram in the VS18 manual, I realized that there was a massive typo. One that cost me $900 plus tax...
from your pov is this sub much louder than the 2318? how loud is it really?
If you buy one Today when you can save $300 on the V2315, buy the V2315.
That said, Yes the VS18 has Better Features and Smarter Tech, but the Power is the same. Don't you already have 4 of the V2315?

@@expertislandin a medium size lounge I have a friend who has two 12” subs that he couples together and they sound damn good to be that small so I want to see what 4 of them would sound like together!
@hollywoodthedj1673 I got 2 S12 in my cart ready to go but then @expertisland dropped this 18" video. LOL. So now just thinking what would be better. I have 2 JBL JRX 100 running from Rockville RPM80BT so I need subwoofer(s).
@@CambodianFisherman well the 18” sub will definitely hit way harder then the 12” subs because they are bigger it’s all in what kind of crowds you plan on doing small ones or big ones!
