Worldstar in the 2010s really felt like the last breath of 2000s internet. It was an important and influential platform for better or for worse.
No it didnt. It felt like the time it was cus 2000s internet was more pics and gifs and a music playlist in the corner of the screen hiddem so u think where to this music comin from.. it was written blogs n forums. Even youtube wasnt around like that in the early 2000s. All these apps were websites first
Important? Lol
No tf it wasn’t 💀💀💀
Hot take
Worldstar was always trash
remember the vine compilations and twerk video compilations??? 😂😂😂😂 good times
I remember those fight compilations like it was yesterday 😂
VINEEEE! @elonmusk bring vine back
Factss 🥰
Used to look forward to those like Jordan releases 😂
Bro the vine compilations were a must lol so was WSHH after dark 😂
I remember when worldstar was almost like a short-cut to build a career
fax literally one post on the channel gave so many niggas a career
Or a shortcut to jail or a graveyard. 💯👀💅🏾
@@renneedwards9826 your decisions that you make during your success; isn’t Wshh fault 🤷🏾♂️
Between WSHH and LiveLeak we all saw so much shit we can't unsee. A different era fr fr
Yea wshh vines . Was the last time it was great
I don’t really miss that mess
Ong I was telling somebody worldstar was just liveleak lite 😂
Liveleak was crazy! Fights, gore videos, twerking, porn, it was a mixed bag of craziness.
FR, I saw a video of my dude after he'd been shot and killed on Live Leak. That messed me up for life
Worldstar was straight up neglected after Q died
Word shit died with him sadly
They messed up not creating an App..
THIS
They been had an app just didn’t update the interface or make it interactive.
@@ydworthy585 Yea the app was weak AF 😢
They did have an app
They’ve had an app for years, I think more than one too, but they’ve all been trash (not even just buggy) since they came out.
In like 2015 when I was in 5th grade every time there was a fight, someone roast each other or a teacher doing something wrong we would all just yell “ WORLDSTARRRRRRRRR”
Couldn’t go one fight without hearing worldstarrrr at least once
The comment section used to piss me off, people wouldn't even talk about the video it would just be a bunch of weirdos talking to eachother about irrelevant stuff and making racist jokes like a chat room.
After the whole bot problem they had the comments most def started to look like bunch of people randomly having a chat about each. Very very odd in my opinion.
you mean like IG and twitter
same as all the other social media platforms beside fb
@@SoSikWitIt
No bro the internet wasn’t as retarded as it is today
@@riza4086
It would usually be one of those NPC bot convos where it starts off as the first comment talking about some money investment and how much they earned and then I clicked on the 'view comments' and saw so many bots using real people profile pics and then the convo started off to look real asf and then the stupid shit goes on and on like.. wtf am I reading !? 😂💀
Sharquesha fights live rent free in my head.
lol
Sharkeesha was a beast..no lie💯💯💯
Hearing someone yell "WWOOORRRLLLLDDDD SSSSTTTAAAARRRR!!!!" you KNEW something legendary was about to go down!
Rip Q, i remember paying that $750 to get my music video on back in the day lol
Damn you must have been on it early as hell. I remember by the time I was aware of Worldstar that shit was up to $15K
They had the best compilation viedos fr. RIP Q
It went from World Star to Tik Tok
No, it went from Worldstar to Vine to Tik Tok
@@kookiehughes8940 no it went from worldstar to vine to musicaly to tiktok
Obviously all of us who are not gen alpha would prefer WSHH and Vine over bull shit tik tok 👌
@@RowdyJr Facts. TikTok is for wimps. WSHH is for the real ones.
They messed up with the ads and how they started deleting old fight videos.
TH-cam doesn't preserve the internet nowdays. It's pure business
WSHH ran the early 2010’s FACTS… RIP Q🙏🏾
World star couldve rivald TH-cam. One thing they couldve did was get all the hood movies record labels were making in the early 2000s and upload them and encourage independent film makers and podcasters to use them as a platform. I wouldve transformed world star for the better
Yo, was money and violence first on WSHH??
I remember when world star fan boys were beefing with lyrical lemonade fan boys about who's rap music channel is superior and better 😂😂 It was like target vs walmart, apple vs android, mcdonalds vs burger king, etc etc.
WSHH Twerk comps was that fire growing up
It also fell off cus hella incels an racist be in the comments
Facts lool
That's the internet in general
Nah it’s because it was kinda too much degeneracy also
But if u think about it the racist were probably right with all the evil stuff ppl were doing in the videos they confirmed every stereotype
Yeah, I’m sure it had nothing to do with all the black degeneracy that was being highlighted every day
RIP Q
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Before Worldstar was “media takeout”
Thanks I've subscribed to Media Takeout just now .
Bro the fight comps were some of my favorite videos to watch
It's the most ratchet , trashy and ungodly website ever created 😢
Early 2000s 50 Cent was diabolical
You a real one for putting the Basedgod in the video family 🙏
We all remember that City Morgue video
Lmao 33rd
Why?
I remember when a fight broke out everybody and the mama would yell worldstar. Man the world changes fast. I love it. Also World Star was debauchery but it was also a place of entertainment. It was definitely both.
The fight comps were legendary.
Kat Stacks reposted my nails once a few years ago. I wonder what she's up to now.
*"SHARKESHA NOOOOOOO!"*
Dope writing and vo. Subbed up!!
they whacked Q ... thats how
That’s the same thing I was thinking he just got that show w bet it was only one episode in wshh was doing numbers then he js die of cardiac arrest like huh
That kat stacks jumpscare was INSANE
I remember all the wild fights i would see and how whenever someone would fight "World Star" was always screamed lol
Great video & commentary
Great video good production
Comment section and videos became to focused on race baiting smh
Seeing 50 get angry is actually kinda scary negl
Yeah he a gangsta gangsta
👮🏿♂️
Trust it’s a front he only did that to people he can get over. Anybody too big for him he’ll ignore and act like it didn’t bother him. His shine in rap faded when he couldn’t get over on Rick Ross in the beef.
Yea world star died when everyone started using the phones and not the laptop or the computer ngl.
Excellent documentary.
good times waking up every morning and checking worrldstar! the fight compilations were the best
I miss those fight compilations 😢. Another 🔥🔥 vid 🙏🏾
I still go on there from time to time in honor of Q his death was crazy and he was just fina take off w his own show and everything and js died really sad and unfortunate so the least I can do to honor someone that brought black media to the forefront I will continue too til it’s no longer rest in peace Q 🙏🏾
Well done job, a few more things that led to their downfall was when every wack street rapper/drug dealer label etc paid to have their video's highly promoted it clogged up the system, and the views were so obviously inflated you lost trust with the site, to me that was greedy, they stopped trying to curate what people wanted and just let the thirstiest pay for top slots.
WSHH Eye Candy was when it up! Now it’s bullshit 😂😂😂
Great video bro
They started posting ads in the videos. I was done at that point
If I remember correctly, I stopped catching World Star around 2013ish. I shared the same sentiment as the guy who called in on thr Sway show. But I will admit, when I was watching it in the early days, I definitely enjoyed it. Funny though that I never even knew who the owner was and that he died. Black man at that.
Same here. Honestly, as a 23 year old in 2014 I checked out from worldstar as well. The website does nothing for me being in my 30s now, but there were a lot of good times in the early 2010s
Soulja boy saying he never did coke or been to rehab while drinking angiantncup of lean( liquid heroin) has got to be the biggest joke i have seen on the internet in my life
Remember we used to yell “Worldstar” 🗣️ 😅
Well when you feed off chaos the chaos is only interesting for so long
That Carl Winslow clip was so unexpected that it made it hilarious 😂
It was all FIGHT videos! I actually STILL say "World Starrrrrr..." damn I must be old.
Lately, I like the way people pull videos outta thin air for internet clout/create a platform. I gotta respect the hustle
That's why I'm trying to build my career on my own
Vine comps (minus the thirst traps at the end) and fight comps were must watch for me back in the day on WSHH. Also liked the jokes and conversations in the comments before the anime and drake kids took over, which was like back in 2014 so I thought it fell of then
🤣 2:57 😭this really takes me back! This is a OG video where can I find this🙏
Fr would love to see this video again.
Doesn't the goon tell him to stfu after?
Yooo someone please find the title
3:10 really a classic
When they started accepting money flat out for your video on the front page that was its death.
I remember when lil peep passed away they posted his video on world star but they took it down and put it on his channel instead. I was a bit sad because I thought that would’ve solidified his place in hip hop. Looking back on it today, it was a wise move on his team to put it on his channel instead. City morgue feels like the last act I recall now who can claim their fame from the world star channel.
look at that medialab exec team. that's why hip hop sucks nowadays. we're not running our own shit. we're just contributing and consuming.
They owners know this
yo as a white guy just gonna point out they ain't ours either. heyward changed his name from horowitz and says he's j on twitter. telehowski and gross are j names. vignone might be white but a lot of the tribe take on italian names look up conversos.
Crazy Bill O Reilly acting like he fucking cares😂
Down hill ever since Q passed away 🙎♀️
Q died, and the site died.
I forgot bout 50 checking q
BASEDGOD
When Q passed it went straight downhill
It started downhill…
Oh wow rest in peace “q” he can from nothing I didn’t realize how many ppl hated wshh
Must see.... #johnnyx100 music 🎶
I still look at ws everyday bro
Real AF
Vine and WSHH went hand and hand lol those were good times 😂😂
50 cent was haten so HARD!!! bru 09 he was falling off in the rap game ngl.
Your delusional
Q started the site using 50 likeness though.
Everybody forgot how much of goofy 50 was around this time 😅
Lots of good stuff came outta that site but lets be honest. When the wider publics entire perception of you is some punk screaming WORLDSTAR! then knockin out a old person literally just walking down the street, your days are numbered
Worldstar was like prime MTV in the internet
Q is like the new Benzino…😂
I remember the first video I watched was the gillie da kid vs Cassidy rap beef .....Q died and took wshh with him 😢
WORLD STAR!!!!!!! Pew pew
The fight compilations were lowkey snuff films
I could never watch them. They were so visceral. I remember this one that looked like it was in NY and two chicks were fighting. A dude (a boyfriend, I assume) walked up on the fight and started very nonchalantly sta*bing one of the girls fighting. I guess to help his gf. No one noticed but the guy filming. He kept filming. That was the last fight comp I watched.
@@caylaflower_iiidamn wtf
My god Worldstar is so bad
50 is too funny 😂
Everyone that got into a fight would yell WORLLLLDSTARRRR
Wasn't the same after Q
Nobody thought it was 50’s site 😂 honestly when that banner changed is when the site began to go down hill
I still log in everyday
I used to watch it for the fight comps😂
Same.
VINE!
WSHH also pretty much stole videos and didnt give any kind of credit to the originators
worldstarhip hop is awesome r i p q the owner of worldstar
Lil B instrumentals 🔥
Fight comps were the best 😅
Bro I got to work release from prison after 5yrs, I downloaded Worldstar only to find out that shits is over with 😂😂
go on grindface
Worldstar ended when they stop doing "questions" videos now look Desirable truth and other tik tok interviewers are taking over
Fact
They stopped doing fight comps
They definitely got rid of bro.
worldstar posted munch & is responsible for ice spices career.. i wouldn’t say it’s irrelevant, just not as impactful as in the past
I wonder if he wouldve yelled at him like that if he wasnt beikg recorded
ok can we do ts to BET
Can’t forget the WS hip hop bunnies
10:03 😂 And we know that is a big ass lie
