  • If you’re starting a clothing brand in this video we show you how to launch and grow using something called wholesale blanks and the signature product strategy. Shoutout to AS Colour for making this video possible: info.ascolour.com/the-journal...
The signature product strategy is used by multi-billion dollar brands and throughout this video we show how it can be applied to your clothing brand. In order for this strategy to work, you need to have designs, and blanks that will keep your customers coming back. We are pumped to share what we found at AS Colour, and I know you’ll take some value with what Lawrence Railton the Founder of this business had to share. After years of working in the surf and sport industry, Larry decided to launch his own line of products which is now distributed globally through retail and wholesale channels.
Huge shoutout to the team at AS Colour for sharing their knowledge and making this video possible:
    *Lawrence Railton, Owner and Founder
*Aimee McFarlane, Senior Designer for Womenswear & Kids
    *Isaac Curry, Customer Experience Manager

Al l the people commenting about pricing and profits. Worry about your brand first. If you produce a quality product from the blanks. You’ll have no issue selling the product for £100+ the brand is what sells. The product quality makes it easier to sell.

The only thing i can guarantee on is trustness. I believe thats somthing which is hard to find these days.😊

Great gem and video. I see the problem as a beginner in the clothing industry is putting out money to legalize the business just to obtain a wholesale license and discount from blank providers. Not saying I don’t believe the dream but it slows or disheartening for a beginner to get off the ground.

Coming from Australia I am a BIG fan of AS Colour and have used them throughout my fashion entrepreneurial journey. Now I'm based in Central Europe and have some difficulty finding printers that stock their products. Is it possible to get a stockist list for Central Europe or the Greater European continent (excluding UK because of import duties)?

I wish they had a warehouse in Europe. UK is subject to import fees and VAT…

They’re more expensive because they’re still a middleman for other manufacturers… Middleman always means someone’s adding a profit and price goes up. Damn they look like they have some great products.

But they are really expensive, how can you sell an already 50 dollar hoodie with a profit when you have to also pay shipping and printing fee?

    • @quantrellh.4939
      @quantrellh.4939 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

Hoodies are the easiest to sell. People will spend $70-80 on hoodies before they drop $40+ on shirts.

$70/80 if it has a name like Nike or under Armour on it, not an unknown label.
I got a £500 to start, and that is from absolute scratch. I’m a person who doesn’t even use social media.
I just about can get a few hoodies & good quality labels on it for this price but where & how can I get the customers/ traffic to make purchases.

That Mens canvas heavy jacket is a beautiful jacket, the major let down though is the front pocket positioning. It needs to be on an angle so your hands slide in comfortably. The vertical pocket positioning is so uncomfortable.

I'm surprised at how expensive their blanks are. I wouldn't be charging much more than that for retail, so the profit margin would end up being small and not worth it.
